You should feel like you're sitting on a Harley motorcycle in a vertical position with your weight in your heels... & maybe standing in the stirrups in a 2 point will help wake those lower body muscles up and help with comfortability & balance on top any walking or standing horse...a walking horse will give your feet some relief and you can simply sway your hips with the horses mini bounce.....if I'm wrong or missing something critical Please respond or ask a professional! I'm still a relatively new intermediate level rider!

@@YourRidingSuccess Would love an episode where the leg yield is really broken down into exactly what you are doing with your hands, seat, legs etc, something so basic but tricky to master which really complements building towards higher dressage movements. Would love to learn more movement to really get the horse to sit on its hind to build up that strength and power!

Woah I never thought about using leg yield as a way to increase impulsion and that natural lift in the back that creates a moment of suspension and then holding that there with a half halt for a few seconds before letting them back into a regular trot. AWESOME tip!

I've tried this a few times now with my not so flashy jumping horse. She's very floor bound (not sure you say it that way un english), but she's a very economical mover 😅 finally getting some results from this and she's moving a bit bouncier and gets a bit of a nice frame 😃 love your videos! Very educational and motivational even for a showjumper 😁
