Kubota best equipment and place to buy. They have stores almost everywhere and always organized and best customer service. I tried Ferris dealers and others and what a chaos. They open 8a and close 5p. 2 hrs to in the morning to move equipment before they can see any customers and 2 hrs before closing to move equipment again. Never have time for customers much less service maintenance. Kubota was a whole different world, best customer service. Plus they close late too. And 4 year warranty.
Have you got the 422-54. Mine is the most gutless mower I've ever had. I still have my old JD z655-54 with a Briggs 27hp with 1800 hrs and it is absolutely the better mower for power. Twice as fast with the JD. Very disappointed with the Kubota /kwasaki. Uses more fuel/ hr and takes longer so my fuel bill is up 30%. Kubota top speed is 10mph but means nothing if it can't handle thick grass.
If you need a place to store "overstock" of a 60" ZT.. I have some acreage that needs mowing.. I mean for storing.... Hahah nice machine, thank you for showing it off. My Toro should last this year. I also agree that the Kawasaki Engine is fantastic.
So what’s the difference between the 412 and 422 other than the suspension seat, or is that the only difference? Thanks for the review - looking at this model now.
About $2000, wider rear tires on the 422, larger engine on the 422, and the 422 comes in 54in or 60in deck. I have the Z412 and 48in deck, it is more than I need. If you have uneven ground it is best to go 48in deck plus it allows you to get in tighter places.

Kawasaki motors, with regular maintenance are almost indestructable.Once you run Z-turn,you never go back to a conventional mower.
