Blessings Keith
I really have to start with those Poirot movies! We always used to watch the David Suchet series when I was a kid and I loved it, so I don't know why I haven't given these a chance yet.
I think it's a very solid trilogy and I honestly cannot recommend them enough. Me personally I still think murder on the Orient Express is the best of the three but take nothing away from the other two they are highly enjoyable. I really hope you give them a go
Nice few grabs there matey.. rewatched World War Z recently and still enjoyed it.. love the contrast and intensity of the running zombies as opposed the slow cumbersome zombies we're generally used to 😎👍
Yeah I have to agree with you. To be honest I love both but you would be massively taking something away from this movie if they decided to go down the George Romero route. It's a highly enjoyable movie and even though I didn't get what I wanted in terms of its 4K picture I'm still very happy to own it
Hi Keith, Thank you for your review on mystery in venice, I have this movie on my wish list with Amazon UK, will now put it into the buy now as you have given it the thumbs up.
Jeff
Hey Jeff. I do not know why but I went into that movie with low expectations which is very strange because I really enjoyed the previous two. But I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I really hope you get as much out of it as I did
Bro... 'BAGHEAD'...? Seriously. Okay mate, NO more drinking before you buy videos! 😁 BTW, absolutely LOVED 'A HAUNTING IN VENICE'! Fantastic Gothic atmosphere, very, very beautifully done. The mood and atmosphere were just about as close to a Horror movie as you could possibly get and still not quite be a Horror movie. I know you like the Orient Express, but Bro there is no way to beat the absolute mood and visuals of this one.
So.... *NO MORE 'BAGHEAD'* , okay... Geez...! 🙄
If you were to ask me what is the best of the three in terms of atmosphere without a shadow of a doubt I would say a haunting in Venice. But I found Orient Express to be the more mysterious and enjoyable of the three. Of course taking nothing away from the sequels which are equally fantastic. The less I say about bag head the better. I think I said enough in the video 😂😂
You cracked me up when on your Baghead review haha, I just bought Bad CGI gator on bluray, what was i thinking
Even now I'm sitting here wondering to myself what the hell was I thinking buying a movie called bag head. Like it was ever going to be good. Bad CGI gator now that is something I really need to check out.
Great reviews my friend keep up the great work.
Thank you as always James for taking the time to stop by. I appreciate the support my friend
I noticed you changed your shelves behind you and the glass cases are gone. Also you moved the busts that are usually right behind you. It looks really good!
Hey Joe. Yeah when I put in the new white shelving behind me a couple of months back I thought it looked amazing so it got me thinking if I removed the two display stands would I be able to get another 2 white shelves in there and as you can see I absolutely could and not only that but the amount of space that I created for myself is quite significant. Thank you so much for noticing
Totally agree with you about Arrow and the way they release there 4Ks with the same artwork, The complaints they must get and they still do it. Just put Man in the iron mask on my wish list, excellent film and i am glad it has a great 4K.
Yeah like I said in the video Mark I will never entertain any of those 4K releases particularly if they had Blu-ray releases beforehand. It's screams lazy. Hopefully someday they will wisen up. Man in the Iron Mask is such a wonderful movie and thankfully looks amazing on 4k. I think you'll be blown away when you see it for yourself. Thank you as always Mark for stopping by
Great video! Appreciate the Insight
It's my absolute pleasure and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by
I stopped collecting the arrow limited editions too, the laziness of just dropping a 4K disc in the previously released packaging rubbed me the wrong way too
It's great to hear I'm not the only one who thinks that way Ben. Look at second sight for instance. They brought out a 4K release of the Changeling but they change the entire packaging over there previous Blu-ray release. I can't see why arrow can't do the same
Nice to know that someone else buys bad horror movies like myself keith!😁
It's always the horror movies Steven. Unfortunately those are the breaks. You take the good with the bad
Hey Keith you know in the next month they'll announce that 4k of haunting of Venice. I definitely agree with you about Carrie and what arrow do with bluray and 4k, for myself I had that incredible scream factory bluray steelbook so I upgraded to the arrow 4k. I also really hate when 4ks come with audio downgrades, it gets very overlooked so thanks for mentioning it. I think shudder have overtaken blumhouse now to be honest. Baghead came out instantly on vod 4k and I have it on my media player. I will only watch it cause I love Freya Allen 😆
Hey Steve. Yeah like I said in the video I will never entertain arrow Video and this lazy way of handling their 4K limited editions. Look at second sight for instance they brought out the Changeling on 4K with all new different packaging. I can't see why arrow Video can't do the same. Give baghead a go and see what you think yourself. But you have been warned my friend. Thank you as always Steve for taking the time to stop by and check out my latest video. Really appreciate all the support
Great video Keith. Been nice catching up with your videos. I need to upload more to my man cave movies account. I agree completely with Imaginary. So much promise…very poor execution. I really enjoyed the live stream on Friday, look forward to the next one👊
Hey Chris. Long time no see my friend. I hope all is well with you. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and check out my live stream. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out and I honestly cannot wait for the next one. Get that channel going again my friend.
@@millerman9991 I will do Keith. Keep up the great work mate👊
@flyingscotsmancd thanks again Chris and look after yourself my friend
Great video and some great films I am with you on how bad the last two you showed are
Unfortunately when it comes to collecting you sometimes have to let the bad in with the good. Like I said in the video the one saving grace is the fact that I didn't spend too much on them. But thank you so much Danny for stopping by
Thanks, again Keith. I just ordered the bluray version of World War Z got £2.70 😜👌. It's a pretty good film, but not a patch on Train to Busan 4k. My favourite modern zombie film by far.
It wasn't that long ago when I finally seen train to Busan and I thought it was fantastic. I did get war War Z vibes from it but still a very fun ride
Hi Keith of all the movies you reviewed in this video for me Carrie is the best
It would be very hard to disagree with you Mike. It's a horror classic and great to finally have it on 4k. Thank you for checking it out
My wife and I went to the cinema to see a haunting in Venice,we really enjoyed it. 👍❤️
I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I don't know why but I went into it with my expectations very low which is strange because I enjoyed the previous two. It probably helped me out quite a bit. Great to hear that yourself and the wife enjoyed it as well.
@@millerman9991 it’s funny that there’s a fine line when I comes to picking films to buy. It’s definitely a gamble. Do you take someone else’s word and buy it or pass on it.
Honestly Stephen I never listen to anyone's reviews when it comes to movies. Some of my most enjoyable movies were critically slammed. You never know until you see it yourself
@@millerman9991 I was going to see baghead 😂 and imaginary at the cinema, but life got in the way. I’m glad I didn’t now.
Normally I would say each To Their Own Stephen but something's telling me that's money well saved my friend
Thank you Keith.
Thank you Cheekster. Always appreciate you stopping by
Cheers Keith thanks for the review mate 👍
It's always my pleasure Craig. Thank you for stopping by and checking it out
Great work Keith.....yea very disappointing when you take a chance in a film and turns out to be terrible.... Thanks for sharing
Nowadays Roy I have the good sense to wait till they come down in price and thank god I did because they are two of the worst horror movies I've seen in awhile. Thank you for checking them out
Just had Chinatown 4k special edition collector's set and madman 4k special edition collector's set with godzilla Kong 4k due this week 😮
I'm still trying to decide whether to pick up Godzilla Kong on 4k. I'm getting sick of these monster movies
Hey Keith. Good review as always. I like the lazy susan display of the videos. Carrie is an absolute classic (the one with Sissy and not Chloe). I read the book World World Z and the movie did not do it justice. Thanks again.
I have to admit I had to check up what lazy susan meant 😂😂. Now I know what it means. But thank you so much my friend for the kind words. Yeah I heard the book for World War Z is so much better. I should really check it out just to see the difference.
I kept my numbered embossed world war z blu ray steelbook. I actually love the film mate . Will not be upgrading tho.
Also got the Carrie steelbook that does me tbh.
I've got immaculate and thanksgiving blu rays on the way this week, not seen them so looking forward to it.
Hey Ian. World War Z is a minor upgrade over that beautiful Blu-ray so I wouldn't blame you for sticking with it. Thanksgiving is such a fantastic slasher movie. Immaculate I haven't heard too many great things about it so you'll have to get back to me and let me know what you think
@@millerman9991 oh no ! The trailer for immaculate looked great, I'll give you my honest opinion mate.
Yeh, as for world war z , both me and Mrs love the film , we used to watch it in 3d back in the day. In my opinion such a dissaponting release, if they're not gonna put effort into the pq, they could atleast give an atmos upgrade.
1 thing I hate is when these awesome 4ks are released with no love to the audio.
Predator, alien, t2 could go on..
Unfortunately I didn't do my homework on that World War Z release when it came to its audio. I just assumed we were getting the exact same paramount audio but unfortunately we didn't. But like I said I'm not disappointed because a minor upgrade is still an upgrade and I can live with it. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on immaculate
I've got the World War Z Blu-ray steelbook, i love that film, it doesn't let up at all but once again, the 4K isn't the extended uncut version.
It's happening far too often when it comes to the extended cuts being not available on 4k. To be honest it doesn't add a whole lot to it so I'm not too downhearted by it
I turned Baghead (I hate having to even type it) off twenty minutes in. I couldn't take anymore.
At least you had the common sense to knock it off. I wish I could say the same thing for myself. What an absolute waste of time
You make me laugh 😂 Keith!! I can’t even count how many times you said “shit” referring to Baghdad lol 😝 I’ll definitely skip that one
I am so sorry David but once you see the movie I think you'll get a good understanding of why I said the word s*** as much as I did 😂😂. To be honest it should have been so much worse.
I'm Cannot Wait To Watch Smile 2
Yeah I have to admit the trailer looks very good. Will be definitely checking it out when it comes out
BTW your title Terrible horror films Is Rise of Skywalker not ready yet that's horrific 😊
Rise of the Skywalker is one movie I will never watch again. Tell you the truth I probably won't watch that trilogy again
World War Z is great. I remember watching The Man in the Iron Mask many years ago in my hotel room in New York. The title Baghead itself should have been warning enough. 😅
I think the last one I have seen which was a huge disappointment was Pet Sematary Bloodlines. WTF were they thinking even releasing this one to theaters?! 🙈
The horrible thing about baghead is I actually bought it because I heard it was based around Halloween. Unfortunately that turned out not to be true. I never checked out pet Sematary bloodlines and after reading this I might stay away from it. Thank you so much Basti for the heads up
@@millerman9991 The worst movie I watched so far this year was the German comedy movie called "Chantal im Märchenland (Chantal in fairytale land)". Jesus was that a bunch of crap. I was accompanying the cast on the premiere and it was hard to contain myself as a press represantative from what I just saw on the screen. Actually I only accepted the invitation because Constantinfilm CEO Torsten Koch was present and I wanted to talk to him (getting infos about the then unknown date for the The Name of the Rose 4K premiere). Believe it or not, that bullshit movie was headlining the charts for consecutive weeks. 🙃
@MadonnaRockedGermany wow I can only imagine what it must have been like. It's a horrible sticky situation to be in. Fingers crossed nobody asked you what you thought of it
Fun fact, back in the 90's round where i live there was a guy who used to hold up taxis for their takings and he wore a brown bag on his head, guess what they nicknamed him?
The only difference is his story is probably more interesting to this crap fest of a movie
I'll be honest Keith, I might to check out Baghead. It's sounds so bad that it might actually be good, LOL. Well, maybe after a few drinks, haha. Thank for the shout out Keith, we really appreciate it, and I hoped you enjoyed the movies.
Oh my god Carl please don't. I am trying to get that hour and a half back. Drink doesn't help trust me I had a few on me already 😂😂. But thank you once again Carl for all your help and please pass on my best to Mark and the family
@@millerman9991 haha
I watched ( the stuff ) and I can tell you that that film is so bad it was F ING brilliant 😅
@nobaccos I have to admit I am a huge fan of the stuff. One of those movies that I grew up by
@@millerman9991 😇👌
Just getting American sniper on steel book for £3.50 Keith mate ps I think Leo plays two parts in this think he is the man in the ironmask
Yes you are absolutely correct he plays the twin brother who's in The Mask. I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. American sniper on Steelbook for £3.50. That's a fantastic price Arthur
Hey Keith, I was looking to upgrade Carrie to 4k but was put off due to arrow just doing a copy and paste job. On a side note my sister is called Carrie as my dad loved the book. I have not yet seen Imaginary but going off what you have said I don't think I'll bother. This is probably going to get me run out of town by an angry mob carrying pitch forks and burning torches, but I kind of liked Bag Head......please forgive me. As always keep up the good work.
Honestly Mason I'm happy you enjoyed baghead. I'm not here for everybody to agree with me. If you enjoyed it then all the power in the world to you. I'm sure it has its fan base out there. It just wasn't for me. You might want to give imaginary a go just in case. The first 40 minutes were very enjoyable. As for arrow Video I will simply not entertain any of those limited sets particularly if they come out on Blu-ray first. Lazy written all over it. At least when second sight do it you get different packaging on the 4K release. But thank you once again my friend for taking the time to stop by and check out my video. I can always rely on you
Imaginary and Baghead-Spot on review! Complete shite films the pair of them. Both could have been good but, these are the very definition of unrealized potential. The premise on Baghead got me in the door, everything else ran me away. Unbelievably bad.
I think I mentioned it on another comment tonight but one of the reasons to why I picked up baghead was because I was told it was held over Halloween. Unfortunately that turned out not to be true. Absolutely nothing went for me when it came to that release. The only positive I can say when it comes to imaginary is the fact that I got a decent 40 minutes at the start but that's about it. Two horrible horror movies. I'm on a bad run at the moment.
Hope ya well
Hey Ryan. Doing great my friend and thank you by the way for stopping by my live stream on Friday and for the very kind donations you made. So unbelievably kind of you
@@millerman9991 always welcome my friend Keith your work pays off Brother really like your videos that you do and you’re honest about things as well which many are not today? I still stick to what I said the other day get rid of all these streaming things. Physical media is the place to be and the place to get.
@@millerman9991 I can’t wait to see another live from you keep me updated, friend
@@millerman9991 I really enjoyed watching that Live five hours of excellence
There won't be a stream this Friday but we are definitely back next Friday. We were overwhelmed by the response the stream got and we honestly can't wait to do the next one
Evening Keith, some nice editions, ive the Arrow edition of Carrie as i only had the standard bluray ,did a review myself...I'm sorry to say ive watched Baghead too, sweet Jesus it was awful 🤮
I don't remember a seeing a video review of Carrie from you Marty. I must check it out and see what you thought of the arrow Video transfer. Apparently the bit rate is better on that one. The less I say about bag head the better. But thank you as always my friend for stopping by
@millerman9991 I'd say there's very little difference between them Keith, both look stunning
I was massively impressed with the scream factory and I can only imagine arrow being very similar
@@millerman9991 It's a lovely edition, cool slipcover on it too 😎
@MadMartysMovieReviews-gv6hk yeah it's a very nice release but unfortunately I had the limited edition Blu-ray which is almost the same minus the slip cover
Good honest reviews Keith 👍 I thought World War Z was good in 3D, not seen A Haunting In Venice but Murder On The Orient Express was good so may give it a try. Thanks for this and keep up the good work 👍
To be honest John I think it's a very solid trilogy. Death on the Nile is the second one and if you haven't checked that out I would recommend doing so. I have World War Z on 3D but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was like. I really must give that a spin again. But thank you as always John for taking the time to stop by
@@millerman9991 I have Death On The Nile so will get Venice and watch them as a trilogy, cheers Keith 👍
Me and Ellen where talking about doing something similar. Banging on all three in one night. I think it'll be highly enjoyable
@@millerman9991 Sounds good but think I'll watch them over 3 nights or I'd get the characters mixed up 😂
@johnfitzpatrick9994 yeah I wouldn't blame you John. Either way I think you're in for a fun ride
The only problem Keith, with horror movies today, there's not many good ones made, you can't beat the horror of old. World War Z is an exception, I thought the film was brilliant, I'm still waiting for the sequel. I love Carrie, a classic and like you said it looks great in 4K. Glad you told us about Imaginary, I was humming and harring about that one , I don't think I will bother with that now Keith. I have Bag Head, definitely won't watching that now. I meant to ask about your Bond collection, when you bought the set did the dvds come in a big silver tin because I used to have the same.
Hey Gary. A lot of horror movies seem to be rushed out nowadays and they are suffering for it. They are quick cash grabs because they always sell regardless of how bad they are. I think you mentioned bag head to me once before and I think I told you that I was keeping an eye on it because I wanted it to go down in price before doing anything. Thank God I waited because I never seen anything is bad. Imaginary is very frustrating because the first 40 minutes were very enjoyable. But I have never seen a movie to crash as badly as it did after the 40. As for my Bond Collection no it never came in that silver tin. I actually bought them separately. I kind of regret doing it that way
@@millerman9991 Right, I wish I still had my collectors tin, you could have had it. It Only goes up to the Brosnan movies, but I remember slipping Never Say Never in there because there was just enough room to put one more in.
@singin8324 yeah it's a shame I missed out on it. Very surprised to hear that there was still room inside it for another movie. Maybe Casino Royale was coming out and they were thinking of it. But thank you so much Gary for the kind gesture
@@millerman9991 Yeah, it was a squeeze but I did get it in there.
Get what you're saying about Arrow, but I want the best version of most movies.
With Carrie, I had the limited edition blu ray, then bought the SF 4k, then sold that and bought the Arrow limited 4k as the bitrate is higher on the Arrow 4k vs the SF one. I sold the SF 4k and Arrow blu ray on eBay
Funny you mentioned that Ben because I was told that the scream factory release looks better. But even if it didn't I still can't justify buying the same packaging again. Don't get me wrong I'm not criticizing people that do I simply won't entertain it. But if you're happy with it then I'm happy for you
Baghead..😂😂😂. Keith, i also got Carrie on 4k scream entertainment. Very very good. You are right about arrow, the Carrie box set which i own on blu ray. No way would i buy that one on 4k.👍
It kills me to say anything bad against arrow Video because I'm a big fan of theirs but there's no denying they can be very lazy when it comes to there 4K releases particularly if they had a Blu-ray release previously. All they have to do is change the packaging on the 4K and I would have no complaints. Second sight for example change the packaging on their 4K release of the Changeling. I can't see why arrow Video can't do the same. But anyway thank you so much James for stopping by and a huge thank you for stopping by the stream the other night and for your very kind gesture as well. You have no idea how much I appreciate it
@@millerman9991 No Keith, we appreciate you. You keep this media alive !
Will I appreciate you James so thank you again
I wholeheartedly agree with you on the issue with Arrow, they used to be the best in the UK but i honestly think they've gotten extremely lazy and labels like Second Sight are absolutely mopping the floor with them.
I simply will not entertain it. At least when second sight do it when it comes to their 4K releases they will give you different packaging to the previous Blu-ray edition. The Changeling for example
@@millerman9991 Great film and a great set, I owned the standard Blu-ray release so the 4K limited set was an amazing bonus.
Yeah I have to agree with you
Thats nothing, I've just bought the new release of Navy Seals.
That is a stunning release. I wouldn't mind picking that up myself
you didn't get a sequel to world war z..you got two season's of black summer instead ;-)
I never heard of black summer but I am definitely interested after reading this. Thanks for making me aware of it
@@millerman9991 its a netflix series..supposed to take place in that same universe. If you like zombie related films its pretty darn good.
Carrie is absolutely heartbreaking. First saw it when I was 12..... Way too young!
Imaginary is apparently very bad. I wouldn't see it anyway as I love cuddly toys. Haha.
Not seen or even heard of Baghead. Can't stop laughing at your description of it! 😂😂😂
Imaginarys cover is somewhat misleading. Don't let it fool you there's a bit more to it than a Cuddly Toy. The less I say about baghead the better. Complete waste of time. Those are the brakes unfortunately. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking it out
So, you could say Baghead is a bit of a Shithead? 😂
Or you can call it a bag of shit 😂😂. Either way works.
@@millerman9991 🤣🤣🤣
I prefer my Fulci style zombies to rubbish like World War Z. One of those typical bland action style films that all look the same with the annoying camera work and fast edits. Can't stand any of them. Even modern Bond looks terrible 😂
None of these movies will ever come remotely close to the likes of Romero's or Fulci. But I have to admit I still enjoyed World War Z despite its flaws.
World war z is a solid film man 👍🏻🎬👈🏻
Yeah I really enjoyed it Stuart. Would love to see a sequel but if it hasn't happened now chances are it never will
Camera shake need to F right off. It does nothing but highlight poor film making. After how much it was used in Bourne it’s become the norm, and it totally ruined Monkey Man. Great film but the shakey camera work was a joke. Like Jackie Chan says, it’s just to hide how slow the action is or how little talent the stunt folk have. Be like Jackie, static cam to show the action for what it is. It’s much more appealing and makes people elevate their game.
Apparently when they do all that camera shaking it's supposed to add dramatic effect. All it gives me is a goddamn headache. Like you said hiding as much as they can and it's a real shame because World War Z has some breathtaking moments. Very disappointed to hear monkey man is done very similar. It would almost put me off watching it. I think I might stick with the Blu-ray on that release
I loved the film Hardcore Harry but the shaky cam in that set off my vertigo. It's a real shame because the film itself was good.
@@millerman9991 Absolutely. It’s a decent film but I won’t be buying it at all because I’ll never watch it again due to how nauseating the shakey cam was. I never get motion sickness but that nearly did haha.
@@LittleMissGrosser Indeed. I own that (if you mean Hardcore Henry) on blu ray but I’ve only watched it once due to that. It was kinda expected there due to the type of film, but in ‘normal’ movies I think it’s time to move on from it
@iio58 yeah I completely understand where you are coming from. Shocking to think that a movie could almost make you feel that way
The BluRay of World War Z is better! Has a 7.1
The 4K only has 5.1
Soooo Stupid!
Yeah I couldn't agree more with you. I didn't do my homework in terms of the audio on this release because I automatically assumed we were getting the same as the Paramount release. It's not the biggest upgrade in terms of picture quality but it is an upgrade and it will do me for now.
