Totally! Oh and what's neat about Summer School is it's got such a cool tribute to slasher films in it at one point, and sort of is the last relavent word on the genre at a time when it was just fading out.
Ken, you are the best, don't worry about talking too much. Your enthusiasm and passion for what you are doing is infectious. You are always updeat with a great sense of humor. You always come up with great things to talk about. You are my go-to every day, because I have the same passion as you.
Ken, you're my favorite UA-camr. You seem like you're just being yourself and I appreciate that instead of these fake youtubers these days. Keep it up my guy!
I really like the collection videos from the boutique lables. Helps me to become more familiar with titles I'd have never heard of otherwise. What is the Arrow boxset you have sitting to the left of Battle Royale? I can't read it and that's the only Arrow boxset I don't have lol.
Candyman looks great in 4k and there upgrade on the sound to dolby atmos is awesome. The Howling looks stellar, they did a great job on that and the 4k transfer is as good as the Creepshow 4k transfer..... yiu have to see both brother and love all the info and reviews you put out.... you An planet CHH are my favorite...
I hope you keep continuing to do these! But I don't blame you if you don't, as the thought of all that goes into it just wears me out thinking about it lol. I appreciate you doing these and your time that goes into it!
I had never seen species. Thought it was awesome! 4K was excellent. I agree , my opinion of movies evolves as I age . Plenty of movies I thought sucked but then turns out that their awesome .
I had known Species but never regarded it as a real classic. But seeing it in 4K I realized that it is a perfectly paced movie and I really respect that. A great movie.
Hoping to see Silent Hill, Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2, and The Strangers 4ks coming from Scream Factory soon. Hoping they go all the way out on these titles. Hope all is well with you and Michelle lately. I've been extremely busy and don't get a chance to tune in anymore.
I love that you have kept Bubba Ho-Tep. You've kept it because your subconscious knows there's something there. Your point totally stands. I've seen movies that I hated upon first watch that I came to appreciate later. Hell, I used to not like Elvis because of annoying fanatics like Jesse from Full House. But Elvis was the real deal, man. Total alpha man entertainer. Watch the Elvis Kurt Russell movie, listen to at least 20 Elvis songs, watch a little concert footage and think about historical context, then, watch 3000 Miles to Graceland, then watch Bubba Ho-Tep again.
agree with your take on the exorcist 3 great but not better then first WB still hasn't announced the first one in 4k is it even gonna release its already july and nothing
"I have seen almost all of my 4Ks from Scream Factory!" *counts 4Ks he hasn't seen as seen.* Sure, Ken, sure ... ^^ But all joking aside - very nice and relaxing video!
King Kong '76 is my fave of the kongs and holds a pretty high place for me due to it coming from my fave era, the great cinematography, the languishing pace, and it's characters. Skip the tv version and just stick with the theatrical when you watch it.
Got to question your comment about Dog Soldiers not looking good. It's a lower budget movie, but the average bit rate is in the 90s on average throughout.
Oh no the dreaded watched and unwatched. This is such a struggle. I have a box of movies in the unwatched pile and because I have such bad OCD it gives me the worst anxiety haha
people giving you grief about the time to topic on your video's are not true fans.... ramble on my wayward son... you're true fans will keep being there for ya.
I’ll say that I grabbed the Arrow video American werewolf in London limited edition and it is still amazing also I grabbed the scream factory Halloween 4K that includes the rare TV cut and it is awesome I love my horror films that I am collecting so far
Unless I missed them, you totally need to get The Final Terror and Hell Night. I wasn't a big fan of The Burning either. I still have never seen Motel Hell for some reason.
Hey Ken, i’m very sorry, but I have to sternly disagree with you. You should’ve have counted a movie if you actually did not watch the scream factory or shout factory disc. You were reviewing your collection, and if you didn’t watch the disc, then you did not watch it. I demand a recount🙂 have a great one!!
It does not count if you seen the movie but not your copy. Lots of movies we as collectors have watched before buying. That still doesn't make your physical copy watched if you haven't seen. I think you should pick 5 Unwatched and make a point to watch asap.
Nice Scream Factory collection, Ken. Here are the horror films I have on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray under the Scream Factory brand: Child's Play (1988) Child's Play 2 Child's Play 3 Bride of Chucky Seed of Chucky Curse of Chucky Cult of Chucky Child's Play (2019) The Craft Carrie (1976) Halloween Halloween 2 Halloween 3: Season of the Witch Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Halloween H20 Halloween Resurrection Here are the 4K horror movies under Scream Factory I will be adding to my collection: Living With Chucky Carrie (2013) The Exorcist 3 Candyman Idle Hands Urban Legend Slumber Party Massacre 1 and 2 Serial Mom Phantoms The Faculty The People Under the Stairs Killer Clowns From Outer Space Coraline Black Christmas
So, I have been afraid to admit this, but I don't hate Buba Hotep. To me... (here comes the hate)... it is in the same vein as Evil Dead movies. It just has less gore. * Dodges a bunch of tomatoes * I'm not calling it a masterpiece, but I found it to be a fun watch.
You can’t put it in the watched pile if you haven’t watched the disc. If you have a slip and a steel book that’s package collecting. I upgrade occasionally but I don’t collect different covers of the same format . I would have loved to replace that ugly white box set of Indiana jones with the steel books but I can’t do it. Not wired that way. Everybody’s different I guess.
Ken, spot on with the Exorcist saga. The original is so classic. 3 is awesome and couldve been better without the studio’s insistence that there be an exorcism. Part 2 is arguably one of the worst movies ever made. Decent cast too. Max Von Sydow, Richard Burton, Linda Blair, and im pretty sure Ennio Morricone did the score. Still an awful awful movie. The dueling prequels were pretty bad too
Sorry Ken, this is totally cheating. If you bought a 4k and just stuck it on the shelf, that doesn't count as being watched cos you saw the bluray! Nothing to be ashamed of, but you are in fact a package collector...
You cannot put discs you haven't watched in the 'watched' pile, even if you've seen the movie, Ken! You are cheating the numbers! Now redo the video! 😅
Great stuff! One thing I will say about not opening movies especially with Scream Factory titles I have now had 2 or 3 4k Scream Factory discs I had to get an exchange on, 2 of them being the first 2 Childs Play 4k's as they were mega scratched up. Long ago I ordered Cannibal Holocaust Grindhouse Releasing version from Deep Discount and didn't open it for a couple months and the movie disc was missing, it had 2 extras discs instead! I reached out to them and they basically said too late, but luckily I reached out to Grindhouse Releasing and they sent me a replacement. Another time I opened one I got from Vinegar Syndrome and the disc was like oddly bubbled up all over, actually peeling off on the data layer. So there's several good reasons you might want to open all your movies when you get them.
Cool films in your collection but you have way to many copies of the same films in your collection but I will say cat people and company of wolves and fun house & Bubba ho-tip & deadly blessing are not good films at all and you should add to your scream factory collection Dr giggles and highway men to you collection but overall nice collection
Ken thank you for taking your time with showing the movies and giving your opinion on most of them. Much better than rushing through it
Thank you TJ. Glad you enjoyed it!
Summer School is one of the best comedies of the 1980’s.
I would love for you to do a review of it.
I have 68 Shout/Scream releases. 18 are 4K. 18 are multi movie releases. 1 is a TV series. 7 are steelbooks.
never worry about how long it takes to show off things, we come here to see you!
Thank you Drew!
IMO nothing compares to the Shout/Scream Factory artwork, its a real head turner!
Prioritize watching Assault on Precinct 13 and Summer School. They are both great.
Totally! Oh and what's neat about Summer School is it's got such a cool tribute to slasher films in it at one point, and sort of is the last relavent word on the genre at a time when it was just fading out.
Im a big horror fan. Hoping to see a 4k collection of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Great collection man
Keep dreaming
@@markpugh6808 dreaming is free lol!😂
I feel like watching other collectors show off their collections is half the reason why we watch this type of content 🤣
Ken, you are the best, don't worry about talking too much. Your enthusiasm and passion for what you are doing is infectious. You are always updeat with a great sense of humor. You always come up with great things to talk about. You are my go-to every day, because I have the same passion as you.
Thank you for that!
Shocker is a fun one. I saw it in theaters. "No More Mista Nice Guy"
Actually just watched it last night! Really fun!
I just bought Idle Hands blu ray from Shout Factory & I actually got it with the slip cover.
Alone in the Dark is awesome!!
The intro subtitles were hilarious!!
I'm actually rearranging my physical media to this video. What a wild ride.
Nice!
Kenny, in 10 years from now I'm expecting a Bubba Ho Tep retrospective...
Ken, you're my favorite UA-camr. You seem like you're just being yourself and I appreciate that instead of these fake youtubers these days. Keep it up my guy!
Thank you very much. I try to just be myself.
Wow what a great collection you have Ken 👋
You're right about taste changing.
Certain movies I used to like but don't anymore, or not enough to keep. Some I like that I didn't used to
The longer the better Kenny 🥳
Thank you Deadly!
Great collection Ken!
Enjoyed this video. I’ve always liked the unique artwork that comes with Shout/Scream Factory blu rays. This was a lot of fun to watch.
I really like the collection videos from the boutique lables. Helps me to become more familiar with titles I'd have never heard of otherwise. What is the Arrow boxset you have sitting to the left of Battle Royale? I can't read it and that's the only Arrow boxset I don't have lol.
So awesome ken
Wish they were like they use to be with prices and art
Candyman looks great in 4k and there upgrade on the sound to dolby atmos is awesome. Great video. Now I don't feel too bad about the movies I haven't watched yet in my collection.
I hope you keep continuing to do these! But I don't blame you if you don't, as the thought of all that goes into it just wears me out thinking about it lol. I appreciate you doing these and your time that goes into it!
Nice collection , thanks for sharing 👍
Also enjoyed the Slumber Party Massacre remake. It was fun.
The Editor is a blast
😂 Great Note at the beginning. The entity is a wild one 😅. Vampires is great as well.
Ken thanks for your dedication that you do for each of your videos, bro. And also if you’re still trying to get rid of Bubba Hotep, I’ll take it. Lol
Now known as Shout! Studios, Scream Factory are keeping the same name
Great vid man
Thank you Johnny

Love this collection update. You should do another one for all of your Arrow Video titles
I will soon!
@@midlevelmedia 👍😀

I watch 95%
Of course this video just makes me want to fill in some holes in the collection! Thanks for putting it up…..I think lol
Haha! Thanks for watching!
If you do continue to do these kinds of vids I’d like to see your full criterion collection tbh
Yes I will
agree with your take on the exorcist 3 great but not better then first WB still hasn't announced the first one in 4k is it even gonna release its already july and nothing
The Fly 2 is must watch
"I have seen almost all of my 4Ks from Scream Factory!"
*counts 4Ks he hasn't seen as seen.*
Sure, Ken, sure ... ^^
But all joking aside - very nice and relaxing video!
Thats why i put every movie i havent seen in a pile.
I have a little over 1 thousand total movies with only about 74 not watched. About 100 Scream and Shout total, but have seen them all.
King Kong '76 is my fave of the kongs and holds a pretty high place for me due to it coming from my fave era, the great cinematography, the languishing pace, and it's characters. Skip the tv version and just stick with the theatrical when you watch it.
Ken, nany chance Halloween: H20 gets an individual style release such as 1-5 edition? I would definitely be up for that!
Supposed to get a 4k Steelbook from Paramount later this year.
Got to question your comment about Dog Soldiers not looking good. It's a lower budget movie, but the average bit rate is in the 90s on average throughout.
Grab the Army of Darkness steel book it’s an incredible piece plus it collects every cut of the film
Oh no the dreaded watched and unwatched. This is such a struggle. I have a box of movies in the unwatched pile and because I have such bad OCD it gives me the worst anxiety haha
The struggle is real
people giving you grief about the time to topic on your video's are not true fans.... ramble on my wayward son... you're true fans will keep being there for ya.
Thank you BN. Means a lot.
I’ll say that I grabbed the Arrow video American werewolf in London limited edition and it is still amazing also I grabbed the scream factory Halloween 4K that includes the rare TV cut and it is awesome I love my horror films that I am collecting so far
Someone said scream factory
Unless I missed them, you totally need to get The Final Terror and Hell Night. I wasn't a big fan of The Burning either. I still have never seen Motel Hell for some reason.
I absolutely need to grab Hell Night. I think about grabbing it every Sale.

I'll take that feedback going forward
Ken, don’t forget about Critters Attacks.
Actually never saw that one. Lol... Any good?
@@midlevelmedia I thought it was a fun movie.
King Kong is awesome 🤩
Man Kenny it was hard to get through that first 3 minutes 😂
Thanks for sticking it out man. 😂
Damn. Watch the first Rec. Its a good outbreak movie.
Very cool Scream Factory movies Ken. I have some of those😈🆒☠️
I wouldnt say the exorcist iii is a better movie than the Og but to me its more fun, and find me a better third film from any saga or series
It does not count if you seen the movie but not your copy. Lots of movies we as collectors have watched before buying. That still doesn't make your physical copy watched if you haven't seen. I think you should pick 5 Unwatched and make a point to watch asap.
Already watched "Shocker," "Vampires," and "Deadly Blessing" since making the video. Just 2 more to go!

I get it John. I feel like I'm in the minority with that one for sure.
9:11 + 16:18 Nice… sets
Watch Rec & Rec2 asap. Amazing horror movies. Worth watching as a double bill.
Thumbs Up.
