I still can't get over the fact that you have only had him in training with you for what, two years? That says a LOT about both of you!
How old is he
@@willowniemela3200 9/10
It is so relaxing to hear the hooves on the ground and his noises are so cute😍 Beautiful ride❤️❤️
Oh i know! Thats the best sound in the world; the steady pounding of a horse's hooves!
I could listen to this all day lol
@@SR-ok4dm I KNOW RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!
@@ig9121 sameeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Bro is the horse on it profile picture an oldenburg?
Your shadow is also so satisfying to watch!!!
Isn't it? It's mesmerizing.😘🇺🇸
I thought so, too!
XD yeah I agree
Agreed lmao
I agree XD
Possibly the prettiest course I have ever seen. Sharpie jumped amazingly! Very impressive.
em b Prettier than the intermediate course, I thought.
The amount of organizing that goes into shows like these must be immense! Kudo's to the staff
DutchMilkMaid I’m an occasional volunteer for events like this in the UK and it’s insane the amount of planning and organising that goes into it - the safety aspect especially is paramount! Nothing is more satisfying than seeing an event that you’ve been a part of go off without a hitch and to see everyone enjoy themselves, competitors, animals and spectators alike!
I wonder if they know just how good they are, and just how proud we are of them. 💛
Paratenic Host They know when they’ve done themselves proud. Sharpie looks like a living flame. He’s such a looker.
Everyone: Saying compliments and how satisfying the vid is
Me: Wondering how long it takes for people to make and figure out the courses
Btw love your vids and he looks so smooth :o
FEI has a video about how they build and design cross country courses :)
@@elp722 but how do the riders know where there going srry for asking i dont do XC i might in the future tho
@@amyfinch1112 pretty sure the rider just walks the course first, not sure how many times though. don't quote me on it but i think its something along the lines of that.
@@amyfinch1112 oh and i think there are numbers on the jumps and stuff like that to help them if they forget, and there are people on the sides which would tell you which direction. also i'm guessing you would be able to see hoof marks on the ground? not sure but it could be a possibility.
Indigo Paterson-Rowe ohh makes sense
people who have the opportunity to ride all the time are so lucky I want this with all my heart.
Nice course, great run and good to see the spectators but am I hearing someone blowing a whistle throughout most of your ride? He handled that attacking golf cart monster very well! Thanks again for letting us come along!
Yes. Whistles are blown to let people know when a horse is coming.
Thanks for the info; the whistle used this way is new to me. I don't know about Sharpie but I sure find it annoying (it means stop play to me).
Your helmet cams are such a delightful watch every time, and it's so nice to see that Sharpie obviously enjoys this! Also love getting the opportunity to learn more about eventing from you and your commenters!
I don’t have many thing’s that excite me anymore, but your riding being one with your horses is so exciting and beautiful. Thank you for this fabulous run this morning. Made my day.. Love you💕
Couldn’t relate more. Watching videos like these make me less anxious, they’re very helpful and I’m pleased to see many people uploading these kind of videos.
“Do you know how much imma have to edit bc you’re cussing?”😂😂 love that!
He seems like he has SUCH a smooth & comfortable jump
I just adore him. There’s something really special about him. Go Sharpie!
The quality of this video is amazing. It almost seems like a different angel even. He did so well!!! Go Sharps!!!
The lighting the quality the smoothness of the ride, this video is definitely my favourite, I'm in love! I feel like it gives such a great portrayal of sharpie's personality too!
Aww his ears were forward the whole time 😍😍
He was so relaxed. What a n amazing team
Who else loves the sound of hooves hitting the ground with such amazing rythem
Your lungs are incredible!!! Never heard you out of breath! In my late 40s I learned I have a vocal cord disorder so I finally understand why I was out of breath riding cross country as a kid- it doesn't open to allow breathing every time. Anyway yay you! Great job. Thanks.
I love that fact that you always pause him to encourage him. I also love the bond you guys have and how wonderful this course was done with you two
The thing I love about him is he always has his ears pricked forward and always flicks one ear back to listen to you
He made that look so effortless! Good boy!
Wow this was absolutely incredible to watch! I love how you speak to him the whole way through- amazing round! PS: Some of those jumps gave me major butterflies 🦋
He was amazing! He handled the atmosphere so well. You two have such a wonderful partnership, it’s great to see him stepping up and doing so brilliantly. You must be so proud
He enjoyed that ears pricked listening well, jumping smart.
Love watching these I pretend I'm the jockey 😁
I WATCHED YOU you passed right bye me I said hi and was soo excited I was at that crossway by the tailgates
Love how you encourage your boy all the way through! Those turns.....yikes!! I’d be so lost! 🤣
The feeling of getting the stride just perfect is the best feeling ever ❤️
Elisa:"Steady."
Subtitles (3:25):"Daddy"
I CANT I DIDN'T EVEN MEAN TO HAVE SUBTITLES ON AND I SAW THAT LOLL.
“nice and relaxed ok?” I say that to my horse too. Buts I never said he listens
I can no longer ride because of back trouble, so when I searched and found this video, it felt (to a point) like I was experiencing your ride. Of course, I never jumped at this level by any means. I miss riding so much. Sharpie is a great horse and you have trained him well. Thank you for the video.
I love red hills! Volunteering there is amazing. I was there this year and probably saw you riding! Luv your videos💜
Thank you for volunteering ❤️
Great ride, sharps looked confident and happy!
Everything about this video is satisfying; the steady sound of hoofbeats, the sound of the horse just letting out that sharp exhale every so often, the way you encourage him, your shadow, and just the way he made it over those jumps so perfectly.
That was Class 🌟🌟🌟⭐
I have just re-watched this. Sharpie has come such a longway in 12 months.
To think of some of his crazy longones and how you had to keep his head up.
Don't think we heard one tap of a hoof.
He will learn so much from that run.
You 2 are on a path to something special.
Awesome job you guys! Sharpie such a big boy! Love seeing the after xc part. 😊 so great with the crowd, whistles, etc. so very proud of you! Great job Briggs!
Beautiful Ride. A pleasure to watch. 🦄🦄🦄
It's wonderful to see all of your hard work with Sharpie paying off! Congratulations to both of you!
Sharpie is a cute name for this horse I Just adore him♥️
I just love watching his little happy ears throughout the course
I'm not sure why but this video made me tear up a little, the obvious pride in your voice and the words of encouragement, his ears pricked and looking so happy the whole time. You guys are fantastic! keep doing what you are doing. xx
What a star!!! Love that horse
I love that you are not only showing us when you ride but you're also showing us what you do afterwards 😍❤️
The jumps look so smooth!!! Amazing!
It’s a truly amazing thing! I’m loving watching your videos here in the Uk! You have amazing talent and talented horses that you let do their job without fuss. It is beautiful to watch and a privilege, many thanks x
Wow, Sharpie handled the crowd very well. Such a good learning experience for our favourite redhead.
I do hope everything went well with Riot Gear and Sharpie last week. I didn't get to catch the end results, but I'm sure they did fine.
It might be just my viewing via the camera, but does that dappled light make it trickier to judge fences sometimes??
"He's like racecourse, I've got this." I have to say that, on the straightaways, his breathing & ears felt like you were riding a racehorse. His energy is so different then. I understood why you had to remind him "steady" frequently. What a great ride.
I love how you were comforting him at the beginning 🥺
I feel like it’s so important when your working with a partner 🥺💖🐴✨
What a good boy! Nicely ridden, Elisa, you're such an inspiration.
Just the fact that you two connected soooo good! Is just awesome! You two did it great❤️
Wowww love to watch the after event procedures too 😍✨
He's come such a long way! This round was absolutely beautiful to watch. Thank you!
I like the new gopro too. Maybe a tad too much of a "fish eye" effect and the sound was a little strange, but I like it 👍
The camera angle is crazy, it makes everything look so small that you look at lol. I thought the stall must be really tiny until Sharpie walked in and I was like "wow, he looks tiny too." 😆
Im not an English rider but i have to say he moves so nicely
BE eventing has just been cancelled on the uk! These videos will be the only things keeping me going c
Wow! I'm addicted to these rides! Was a dream of mine to gallop a horse over a fence and although still game and riding it's out of my reach. But wow! This is the next best thing!
I teared up watching this run- Sharpapotomus has had a real breakthrough in his confidence with skinnies and corners. He absolutely killed it, handled the big atmosphere and hardly broke a sweat!!! My Favorite Sharpie!!! Warhorses are worth it!!!🏆🧡👨🏻🦰🐴
I need a Sharp Decision shirt!!! LOVE SHARPIE!
So good to see the both of you out having fun .
He handled the course like a champ
Thanks so much for leaving in the debrief, it was so interesting to hear!
Oh my god! Im a jumper and I literally admire eventers! Takes so much guts! I get nervous watching you go over some of those jumps! Amazing!
If you watch from 4:53 to 5:00 you can really see how his strides changed before that jump. Like, those two strides before the jump became really long and in my opinion, strong!
Edit: if you can’t tell the difference try looking at his shadow!
you literally make it look so easy!
Just Perfect so enjoyable Together has One make for Happy Days Xxx
omg he just floats over the jumps! So cuteeeeee
I love hearing the hooves click
😂😂😂😂
what a lovely positive round!!! super sharps 🥰
Awesome ride! The helmet cam makes me feel like I’m riding the horse myself. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Im sure a lot of people have mentioned this but I really appreciate you keeping the camera on for the chat and untack! Go Sharpie go! Great job you two :)
You make it look so easy and he really enjoys what he does with you. Thank you for sharing with us.
He really stepped up to the plate! well done Elisa and Sharpie!!
Sharp’s mane is so fluffy and cuteeee
Holy cow that camera is so stable it doesn't even look like the horse is going fast
You and your harse are amazing
Very, Very, Very Excellent!!!
And beautiful ride. 😍😍😁
He looked so excited and I was so caught up in his jumps I started cheering for him and 11:30 pm
What a beautiful weather for riding!
It's always a pleasure to see your videos! Thank you so much for sharing!
Most awesome ride ever! Beautiful course. Love that horse. The best-o Elisa! What a ride.
He’s so relaxed and calm coming to the jumps
11:43 Clever horse🥺
Congratulations, beautiful ride!❤️
This is great!
Sharpie loves this!!
I'm definitely going to try your tipe of gallop!
I usually sit my gallop but next time I will try it like you!
Thanks for letting us come along!!💕💕
Sitting to a gallop is acctually pretty dangerous because it can hurt their backs its better to stand up in ur stirrups
@@jumping_with_robyn9986 I know its dangerous but my horse is pretty slow so I can sit my gallop without doing anything, I asked the vet and he said it would be fine. I stand up now but I didnt uest to.
You are both so amazing I love watching you ride!!❤️
It looks so smooth
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I went to the Red Hill trials and watched you compete!!!!!!! It was absolutely amazing. It was my first time ever going and I thought it was so cool I was able to watch you compete!!!!!! You're a big inspiration to me! I also like to do cross country on my retired race horse.
What a dude and look at how great the weather is!
You and your horse move so perfectly and smoothly ❤️
you had a perfect stride every time !!!! absolutely incredible
Nice and steady! Beautiful video...colors, sounds...just great! Sharpie’s the “boy”... thanks so much.
who’s the one person that disliked this? 😤 I just wanna talk.
NOT me I love her vids
Wow I couldn’t help but wonder in your shadow...... I mean wow.... your horse sharpie I think it was... it was sooo cool how he kept that past the whole time and how you could keep that amazing position. In the saddle and I do barrels and that is hard I couldn’t imagin how hard it was and how much pain you were in at the end but wow that must have taken a lot of hard hard work
So proud! #RedDragon he has become! Such a good boy!
That horse is beautiful! Awesome job!
Great job Sharpie!
Super fit, not even sweating. Great ride.
I love these videos so much! I don't know why, but they are so inspiring!!
Good job, Sharpie!!! Also, the mare your friend is riding is absolutely adorable with that curly mane!
Terrific X-Cty run on a beautiful day. It does not get much better than that!
I could sleep to the sound of a horse galloping.😍
