Great video guys. I have had an Illuminous 5 for over 2 years. It is definitely my favorite bushcraft knife. I had the pleasure of actually meeting Mr. L.T. Wright at Smoky Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee. He is a very nice individual. I now have 4 different knives made by him. I also like Bark River knives. I have several different models. If you haven't seen a Crusader you should try to get one. A beast of a knife. P.S. I subbed your channel.

Awesome knife. Great video men.If I wasn't so poor, I would definitely invest in a L.T. Wright knife. Mr. Wright is a very skilled Craftsman. And He is a really down to Earth type of man. Ha , I also got an Lt Wright from the last drop at lammia. I was also waiting a long time for them to come back in stock . Thanks for taking the time to do your videos guys
I have both knives, and I use both. The Illuminous 5 has more heft, it's a bit thicker blade, and its handle is a bit thicker as well. Both are fine, well-crafted tools. Similar enough that I use them interchangeably. The sheath for the Nord is not of good quality, and the plastic insert doesn't work very well. However, JRE Industries (the sheathmaker for LTWK knives) makes a sheath that fits the Nord perfectly. It's their size N, I believe. That's what I use for my Nord. Both are excellent knives and the JRE sheaths are the best in the business, in my opinion.
hey guys! love your vids! i actually own one of those knives, and is one of my favorites. it so muxh more then just a bushcraft knife. it also makes a great (i hate putting catagories on knives)survival knife. it just does everything a knife can do,and does it well. keep up the great vids, and stay safe in this crazy world.

Hi guys, this is really a very cool knife! I can understand needing a 90-degree spine to make sparks with the firerod. What I don't understand is the fact that companies make the spine ultra-sharp all the way up to the handle. I don't like gloves when carving and when you put your thumb on the spine to apply pressure, it's quite easy to cut yourself. Happened to me this weekend with my Casström Woodsman too.... 😬
Hi Markus! Thanks for leaving your comment! Hope you didn't damage yourself too much! Interesting thought you have. We use always gloves when working with wood and knives. We will test it out this evening how it feels without gloves. Could be an idea for you to take away the sharp edges in the area where you put your thumb. Do you still like the Woodsman efter your accident? ;)

Hi Stephan! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! We looked at the knife very closely yesterday and it looked that it has a very tiny micro bevel but hard to see and it looks and feels like a true scandi.
From what I've read (might've been on their website) is that their scandi's are zero ground and then micro convexed when they hard buff the edge to give it added strength and better edge retention.
An excellent hard working do it all knife. Especially good for guys like myself with xxl hands. Guys with big hands look no further. I could put this knife 1# for me right now. Need!
