- Babymetal - Rondo of Nightmare everyone! This is the version with the Mischiefs of God (Intro) as many of you have suggested to me. I read all my comments and this song is suppose to suit my style and if I don't like this one I can move on from doing any further Babymetal reactions. Well, sit back and see what I think of this highly suggested song.
I want to give a big shout out to the Kami Band and Su-Metal for their performance in this one. Much love and respect to all my viewers and especially my team of supporters. The clan of MikoManiacs is growing every single day!

@@DannymikReacts - Good deal. It's so hard to recommend Babymetal songs. They all bring something different. This is about as close as Babymetal gets to making the same song twice. Which isn't that close.
Another song you're sure to love is Tales of the Destinies but that one is hard to react to on youtube. But that is very different than Rondo or Akatsuki. Anybody who is a music nerd is sure to orgasm over Tales of the Destinies. But it almost has to be a link & synch. It usually gets blocked.
Yeah I like you scott but I'm not sure about a compilation video when there's actual live versions that are obviously better :D.

The full name of the instrumental is 'Mischief of the Metal Gods'.
BABYMETAL's live musicians are called the Kami Band (Kami means god or spirit).
That was Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
And of course BOH on bass. Not that many people play a six stringed bass to begin with, let alone tap one like that.
I love suggesting this one to folks who aren't really sure if BABYMETAL can do "real metal" or not. : )
I'm actually fine with the third album. It's got more dance elements than the first two, but Su's stylistic range on the record is amazing.
And of course, all BABYMETAL songs really come alive when they are performed in concert.
The album tracks are almost more of a jumping off point.
So you finally got to the point where you realize that that "blend" can work when done right. It sometimes takes some getting used to and this is one of the songs that win over metalheads. Such as myself. That is why we often say it's unfortunate when metalheads go in blind and try Gimme Chocolate for the first time. The cognitive dissonance is way too great on metalheads on that particular song sometimes. In time, you'll maybe get used to it and even grow to like Gimme Chocolate and the likes.
You've been mindblown by this song and yet, and I say that as a metalhead, this is not even in my top10 songs/performance list when it comes to BABYMETAL. You've got so much more to see... Su's vocals are amazing even on the poppier songs. There's always a metal twist in there and yeah it can be confusing at first but that's only because it's never been heard before. They truly are a genre defining band that has forever changed the music landscape. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Road of Resistance I expect is next and then I have a few dozen other suggestions. It'll only be a short while until you beg us to tell you when they're touring around your area. Not kidding. Best Live act awards for a reason.

Mischiefs of God is the intro where all the musicians show off.
The band's name is the Kami Band, and Kami translates to a God. So it's the band of a God, and the mischiefs is them showing off. Love your reactions man, glad I found your channel!!

Great reaction. Su has 4 solo songs, two on each of the first two albums, 'Rondo of Nightmare' and 'Akatsuki' being from the first, from the second 'Amore' (this album's answer to 'Akatsuki') and 'No Rain, No Rainbow' (a classic power ballad inspired by X Japan's 'Endless Rain'). They all show off her vocals in a more "straight metal" style of song I suppose, but they also show us something of what their producer Kei Kobayashi saw in her and what inspired his experiment of a metal/Idol fusion band with her to front it - and why he developed Babymetal around her.
She has done a couple of solo cover songs as well.
The third album is not quite like the first two, it is true, so some songs with more of a dance or electronic element have taken some by surprise (as ever the live versions have dispelled any doubts for most people), but Su has stretched her talents and expanded her vocal repertoire, experimenting with more disparate styles and mastering each one of them almost effortlessly (or she makes it look and sound almost effortless at least, I have no doubt at all that she has worked incredibly hard on each very different song).
Yet another side of Babymetal were the songs sung and performed as duets by Yui and Moa as 'Black Babymetal' - like Su's solos they also had two songs on each of the first two albums. Their songs have the cutest vocals of course, but in contrast some of the instrumentals accompanying them are among the heaviest of all Babymetal's songs. For you I think I would recommend 'Onedari Daisakusen' from the first album, 'GJ' and (this in particular) 'Sis Anger' from the second ('4 No Uta' or 'Song 4' from the first album may still be a bit too much of a stretch).
For "No Rain No Rainbow" make sure it's the Legend S Baptism XX concert footage. It really showcases Su's vox and it's Mikio's (Position 1 lead guitar) last concert with BABYMETAL before his untimely passing.
Hey, glad you like it! This one of my absolute favourites. Everyone performance is flawless, but Su just kills it. It's not even really a sad song, but the emotion she puts into it drives me to tears every time. It's pretty dark by BABYMETAL standards, but the haunting atmosphere is beautiful.

Great the persistence was rewarded . This performance from a 16 year old how many male let alone female metal/rock fronting a band could pull off a performance like that at 16 . This why we call her Queen and goddess and the band was built around her .
The scary thing is she is 22 now and even better . Please do not do a compilation video it takes away from the performance especially Akatsuki the Budokan black night version ( same show as this ) is a really good one . The new album is great as we have seen a lot of the songs performed on US and now European tour . Even the one's we where unsure about are great and i will see them 2nd time in 8 month on 23rd February . A 500 mile
round trip to London again . Hotel and train travel and some fans are even travelling from Japan . Thats how good they are live . If you ever get a chance to see them do it .
You will leave with a smile on your face have met a great bunch of people and a warm feeling in your heart . Metal doesn't have to be about anger and hate . It can be a positive message . Which BabyMetal brings to the table .

Hi Dannymik! Good reaction! I think a better translation for the intro is "Mischiefs of the Metal Gods", the Kami Band members represent the Gods of their respective instruments, summoned by the Fox God, and they're "just playing around" when doing their solos, being mischievous.

Akatsuki would definitely be your style. Also, Ijime Dame Zettai: Live at Sonisphere 2014 is one you'd like. Several guitar solos and nasty drum riffs, plus you can see the girls going 1000% in front of a potentially hostile foreign crowd and winning them over 🤘🦊

The Komi band creates the perfect storm that Su’s voice soars above like an eagle!
And it really shined in this performance. This is the one that stands above the others.
She has such a beautiful voice. Clear and powerful. Some people complain about not understanding the words. Yet in a lot of cases words in songs do not matter so much. I find myself more in to the voice itself regardless of the meaning.
This was the song that made me fall in love with Babymetal. "Mischiefs of God" is the name of the intro song.
If you're enjoying Babymetal, i guess you'll like a Thai group called "Tossagirls". They have the same concept as babymetal, 3 girls singing and dancing metal mixed to pop-ish vocals. Check their song "Traumatic soul".

I love it when the musicians are given a chance to showcase their talents and abilities. The four guys in this band are top notch. I absolutely love BOH, the bassist's, solo.
Thank you for giving this band another listen. It's a credit to you being open-minded. Yes, her poppy vocals takes getting used to the heavy instrumentation. However after listening to enough Babymetal, I cannot envision anyone else being the lead vocalist other than Su-Metal. As you continue your journey of discovery you will come to realize an amazing singer with a great voice and endurance coupled with inexplicable versatility.
While this is not my style of music I listen to I was actually sitting there moving my head along with the music so it's done that right 😀 There was a nice rhythm in there and everything sounded well together :)

Well I don't see that you viewed "Karate" or my first reaction to them in "Distortion" but I've viewed 5 videos by them so far. "Karate" is where things changed for me as far as BABYMETAL. I started to "respect" SU's vocals and then wanted more from her. So, "Akatsuki" has now pulled me in to the point where I am on board. Rondo of Nightmare was my kind of style (of metal)... The band that plays with Babymetal is called Kami Band, Kami means god, so they are "God of bass", etc. the title of the video is actually wrong it's: "mischief of gods", so the mischief of the Kami Band aka a "song" with bunch of solos of them having fun/show off a bit. :-)
Never heard of this band, but damn, they get right into the action. And I loved every second after that. Wow. Even having no idea what she is singing.

I'm a die-hard metalhead who's oldschool enough to have been to Master of Puppets Tour 1986 and I recommend you to try ROAD OF RESISTANCE (live in Japan) or DISTORTION (live at Download Festival 2018).

My only complaint is that there is no dark metal song like this one.
Glad you liked this one. Don’t know if you’ve ventured into Tales of the Destinies from Metal Resistance, but it’s kind of their way of tipping their hat to Dream Theater. It is easily one of their heaviest song and about their most demanding compositions for the band to perform. They pulled it off near the end of the Tokyo Dome, Red Night concert. The stage for that show actually out does the Budokan stage.

great reaction something late to give you information ... it is a song with a somewhat obscure letter to which babymetal accustoms but very good the truth if you like more of this style with SU singing alone I recommend you akatsuki a great song that you would like with a good guitar solo in addition to the great voice of SU but if you want something heavier I recommend Ijime dame zettai live in sonisphere 2014 you will surely like them.

Wow that stage setup is unreal, like something Metallica would do. No one can say they aren't a talented group that's for sure, the musicianship here is top notch, especially that lead guitarist, holy Moses!! Total straight up fire! You just made a great point with the stage production. I can totally see Metallica up there on that position, totally!! I know the pop vocals can be a little tough bu this is my 4th song by them and this one is not nearly as poppy as the first 2 I did. If you zone in on her chorus parts they really hit the ears nicely.
As far as the Kami Band, Bro, they are super talented and totally band it out. ALL of them are equally great in their own way. I'm slowly becoming a fan of this group and I didn't see that coming.
