You guys! What a great time to come back, arriving to an special moment since yesterday BM announced officially a long time waited return with some fantastic news about new single coming soon this month, 5 in total until album release, live performance and album release date after that for next year. Everyone is having a great time with this, so stay tuned for more.
_Akumu No Rondo_ combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile beautiness that makes you wants to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare.
Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity.
Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk"
The Kami Band doing their second fantastic intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou. They also performed this intro before Akatsuki, another SuMetal solo. Kami Band got another rare set intro called "The Hill Of Wisteria". This night the members are: Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass killing it with his solo and Hideki Aoyama, all of them with melting faces performance.
Many people forget this was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen of times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart.
But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with _"Akatsuki"_ Keep watching all their solos because all 4 of them are beautiful and of course the rest of the girls under a subgroup called "Black Babymetal" are enjoyable too, so don't miss out their other 4 songs too.
They earn the "living legend" status in their own right and there's still more to come. Read next!
The One is really crazy these days, In October 1st BABYMETAL released in all their social media platforms an official post about their current restoration project called "The Other One" and a snippet of a song that belongs to the snippets set titled "Throne" and with 90% on it, next day another post with 91% and another snippet from "Cavalry" set, then 92% with "Mirror", then "Illusion" with 93%, after that "Transition" with 94%,, then "Inverted Mirror Reflection" with 95%, "Smoke" with 96%, "Monochrome" with 97%, "Light And Darkness" with 98%, last snippet with "Coffin" and 99%, and yesterday finally the news with BM returns. All hail to the Fox God 🙌 -NotACult- 🦊🤘

Kamiband : We're gonna blow your minds with our awesome solos!
Sumetal : Hold my matcha latte....
Love watching the drummer Hideki in this, when the camera pan to him in the beginning, he looks like he's just casually drumming and not responsible for the machine like pounding in the background with the double kicks. Most singers might get intimidated having to follow the spectacular performance by the Kamiband, but 16yr old Su just gets up there, and shows you why Babymetal was built around her. Actually, in a concert the Kamiband has lots of intros and solos for them to shine, you really need to checkout a full concert one fo these days.

So many times that phrase. :)
Even when you have already heard all but the last song... that's the phrase to use.
I generally favour stability in life. Especially when everything else seems chaotic, as it is now.
But with Babymetal the diversity is so beautiful. You reach a state of expecting something you don't expect; but then even that happens in an unexpected way.

    ⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥
'Mischief of Metal Gods' is the song title, not another name for the Kami Band.
    "Kami" means god or spirit.
This song often precedes 'Rondo of Nightmare', but not always.
At Tokyo Dome, it was followed by 'Akatsuki'.
Was pretty sure you would like that one. It's was already epic, and THEN Su rises up from beneath the stage.
Not only is she brave enough to sing and dance on a small elevated platform in the dark, but she also has the confidence to follow those blistering Kami Band solos.
    That's true fearlessness. : )
Su was sixteen when she did that performance. She's only gotten better in the last eight years.
She performed three solo songs that night. Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su.
And of course they all did a bunch of songs together. That 2014 Budokan Black Night concert is still one of my all time favorites from any artist.

Great reaction. The 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' intro is not on the album - it is a Kami Band thing so only played in live shows as that is the only place you will see and hear them. Kami means god or spirit - they are the gods of guitar, bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in their live shows.
As I said in the chat, the Kami Band that night were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). It was almost as if they were performing a ritual, summoning Su-metal up from the deep (or from below stage at least😉).
There can't be many vocalists who could follow an intro like that ... and who would then completely take over the whole stage with their performance. Su-metal was still only just 16 here, it was only the second time she had sung this song live (first time was the night before).
Rondo is a musical term describing a recurring theme. They have borrowed the term for this song to hi-light how this is a recurring nightmare.
'Rondo of Nightmare' is possibly their darkest song lyrically. Su is caught in a recurring nightmare being chased through the dark by something she can't see. Finally she hides but it is still coming closer and, accepting there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her first.
That part where Su pressed the mic to her nose and sang across it with her head bowed is a specific technique that gets that effect. It is likely that part has an effect added or may be pre-recorded in some performances, I think (and yes I may be wrong, but it is what I think) that this was one where she actually did sing it using that technique.

This is One of my favourite songs as well, and the performance is obviously outstanding, too. I find the melody of the chorus insanely beautiful, while also creating a strong, dark atmosphere. Even if you don‘t know what the lyrics are about, you can sense the sinister mood. What I find particularly cool about the performance is how the lighting makes the stage below Su disappear during that calmer part in the middle, so it really looks like she is suspended in mid-air, like a puppet hanging from its strings.

This performance is really amazing for many reasons. The stage was crazy, they premiered this song the previous night at the same venue... and speaking of which, performing at the Budokan is something that Japanese every artist dreams, a whole career goal. And that's exactly what they did being 16 and 14. Not to mention to sell out the Tokyo Dome for two back to back shows a couple of years later, but that's another story.
"RoN" is probably not among my very top favorites BUT every time I watch Su performing like this... it just gets me.
    Until next time!

To give each member a solo, and rotate through the band; that comes from Jazz. It's an old convention there, and it's cool they bring in these elements to metal.

At this point, I don't think there are any elements of any musical genre, compositional style, meme, classification, progression, ethnicity, paradigm or otherwise that Babymetal won't incorporate.
But _every_ _single_ _time_ in a way which makes sense and makes us smile.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。"Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.

The "Kami" in Kamiband effectively means "god" or "Force of Nature" in Japanese, so in this song the Gods came out to play

Nice reaction. One of the lyrically darkest songs by Babymetal. Usually, their songs are so positive and happy. This song is anything but that. The only good thing that happens here is she wakes up before dying. Remember it's a recurring nightmare. I hope this isn't a real dream Su has. A great tune none the less. Su puts on a master class of performance here. The Kamiband does get to show their skills as well in the intro. Babymetal have other songs with Kamiband intros. It's really become something the fans look forward to in their concerts. With Babymetal announcing they're doing 2 shows in Jan. It will be interesting to see who the members of the Kamiband will be. And will Babymetal perform as a duo or use a dancer for the trio formation. Babymetal has FINALLY RETURNED. And the world already feels like a better place. Such is the power of Babymetal magic.

One of Babymetal's best. The Kami Band rules. And Boh the bassist steals the show. This also shows Su-Metal impressive capabilities as a singer. This is the performance to play to naysayers who say Babymetal is an untalented gimmick group. Now that we have seen Su's solo let's introduce Black Babymetal with "Onedari Daisakusen."

Yeah, the intro is such fire but then the song goes operatic. This is more of a showoff the band then showoff Su. That vocal technique is you tuck your head down to compress the vocal cords and sing into the side of the mic to give it that sound.

Live at Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse (stylized as LIVE AT BUDOKAN ~RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE~) is the third live video release by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members.
    Nippon Budokan:-
Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues.
A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple.

Well done on realizing that Suzuka was actually using a technique to cause more of a nasal tone (many wrongly believe that it is a backing track, it is not, it is all Suzuka) and appreciating the talent and sheer confidence it took to pull it off.

If one watches closely you can see that Su- pulls the mic out of position before the last note, and her mouth is not moving the couple of notes before that. We are not hearing live audio. Now, whether it was backing track or post-production overdub, OTFGK. I do believe the technique was used in the studio, especially since she spoke of it in an interview. Su-'s mic discipline while lipsyncing has always been a bit lacking. See Megitsune official MV or the Headbanger night of 15 mix for multiple examples. Despite my belief that the quiet verse was lipsync to backing track, this is still my favorite Su-metal solo performance.
