Mitch is indeed a natural countertenor, which is already super rare. And he does indeed not need to practice as much as others. He is however super dedicated to training his voice, so really its a best of both worlds i think. If you watch older to newer videos, you can really see how he has improved quite a lot (like all of the group)
Your daughter is sharp as a tack and very sweet! Yes, Mitch is a natural-born countertenor, a very rare gift. Somehow his voice survived the ravages of puberty, so he didn't have to train himself for years to go that high. Likewise, Avi is a basso profondo, and his normal voice is a deep rumble. Gotta love the diversity in this group, they really are a dream team! By the way, they don't only do covers! Check out their original songs like Love Again, Can't Sleep Love, Sing, Coffee In Bed, A Little Space ft Ateez, Happy Now, and Be My Eyes. 🕊️❤️🍦
Run to you is another original by them. It is very slow moving, but if you're into music like that, you would appreciate it. Ps I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned here already. Run to you was the first song I ever heard from Pentatonix. To me it is worth a hearing whether it be a reaction or in your alone time. Stay good bro.
Interesting trivia on this song, apparently they recorded each individual doing their parts one at a time in a closet in one of their homes. They then put all the tracks together to make this excellenct song.
The bass is Avi Kaplan. He left a few years ago and was replaced by Matt Salee. Avi's solo songs are worth checking out. Change on the Rise is so good! Please watch their cover of The Prayer! Keep the Pentatonix reactions coming!
Im sorry, it might have been said, your daughter, im only 2 mins in, the look, for the DAD moves, thats my clip of the week, so true, so good, she got you DAD

great reaction! your daughter wanting to hear them talk at the end is so me. love their ending clips, sometimes theyre really funny, or theyll sing more or joke around, but always you can remind yourself what they actually sound like. looking forward to more ptx reactions from you!
And they filmed this video in the closet of their apartment in LA. Edited and mixed it themselves. Seriously. I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl last September, and they were fire.
Definitely recommend their 90s Dance Medley. You can see their other member Matt (who joined as their new bass after Avi/Jesus left) and it’s such a fun video!
Eloquent, smart and beautiful - Leilani, you are a gem! (And I’m sorry if I guessed wrong on the spelling.) loved the reaction, as always. You may want to invite her back when you do their cover of Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King. Peace …
Happy bouncy songs include, 'Sing' an original. '90's Medley', 'Evolution of music', and to really make your eyes pop, 'Dance of the sugar plum fairy' a song with no words, done with a group that uses no instruments. There's plenty of others.
next on their playlist should be IMAGINE by John Lennon and then for something totally different listen to Oh Come All Ye Faithful. (Kevin - beat boxer and tenor arranged it to honor his parents heritage) Avi the bass (looks like Jesus) leaves the group later and new Bass will be Matt Sallee. Kirsten, Mitch the counter tenor and Scott the tall blond baritone all met as kids and sang as a trio in High School in Texas. They added Kevin who also plays the cello and was at Harvard Medical and Avi a couple weeks before being on "The Sing Off" and winning!
You have a beautiful daughter with a sharp intellect, she nailed it directly when she noticed the difference in everyone! Nice reaction to one of my PTX fav...this granny was dancing in the livingroom! 😄
You two are an awesome duo! ♥Makes my heart happy to see parents exposing their kids to all sorts of music. And it's all worth listening to! Off topic - have you ever listened to k.d. lang? Smooth.
Thank you for reacting to this fun Pentatonix video. Also, thank you for introducing your daughter to Pentatonix. They have fans of all ages. The medley in this video consists of 7 songs by the duo (band) named Daft Punk. I look forward to more of your Pentatonix reactions. Congrats on reaching over 1,000 subs.
Please bring back your daughter for more videos - she's awesome! So glad you reacted to this Pentatonix classic, which they recorded in an apartment and got them a Grammy. I encourage you to check out my other favorite acapella group, Home Free; they will blow you away. Start with "Man of Constant Sorrow" and "The Butts Medley." Great video you two!
I’ve recently found your channel and subscribed. I’ve enjoyed your reactions to Pentatonix. You seem like a very knowledgeable gentleman. Very laid back.
Your daughter is precious! My niece's name is Leilani too. :) PTX is my favorite and I really love seeing music industry people react to their songs. I think this Daft Punk medley is my favorite... and then Hallelujah.. :)

I try to get my students to do the same! Thank you! And your daughter is a beautiful, young lady with a sharp mind. I hope she does something musical at her school! Kudos!
Love this one. Not hard to see why they won a Grammy for this huh! They are in the middle of a world tour right now. In a few weeks they go to Europe and then this summer they’re going to be in the US. I’m going to see them in September in Northern California.
@@WollisWorld I got to see them in November last year and it’s a surreal experience. They’re so good. They’re even better live and so charismatic and fun.

Woah... The way you do the video as half transparent makes them look scary. Straight out of L4D or some Vampire stuff. Makes me see the video in a whole new light.
@@WollisWorld Good. Most certainly. Awesome stuff! I love that your daughter sat in on that. As a father of four with eleven grand kids I put family and music as an important thing. Great job 👍. If you want some fast upbeat stuff check out Can't Hold Us, you'll love it.
If you like different genres of music, here's something you might not have heard of, but I think you'll like it: KDA - Popstars. (The group is called KDA, the song is Popstars). Other songs of theirs you might enjoy are "More," "The Baddest," and "Villain." I would love for you to react to Havana and to Shallow. Also, it was great to see you introducing your daughter to PTX. The two of you should react together to Can You Feel the Love Tonight. There’s a fantastic Mitch slap that comes out of nowhere in that one.
Even other reactions to do with your daughter that are PTX-related (or PTX-adjacent, if you will): The all-female A Capella group "Citizen Queen" started by Scott of PTX. "Evolution of Girl Groups" is an obvious starter, but "Killing Me Softly", and "Never Enough" will impress more, I think. I really like "Y (Stripped)", too.
Check out Kevin’s solo work on his channel Kevin Olusula. He is a modern day renaissance man. He also plays cello and saxophone and has a video where he plays cello and beatboxes at the same time. He’s done a couple of KOvers with looping tracks. His talent has no limits.

Thanks and welcome to your daughter
Thanks for watching an you’re welcome
I would love for you to react to Havana and to Shallow.
Damn... All I can think of is "Craaaaaiiiiigg Daayvid" - Bo Selecta!
Your daughter is such a cutie!
