- It seems like only Tarkov could kill Tarkov. With the new "unheard edition" of Escape from Tarkov... BSG could quite have quite easily have given itself enough rope to hang itself. This video goes over everything, let me know what you think.

About the game:
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.
With each passing day the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others. Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals - "Scavs" flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.
The players will have to experience living in the skin of one of the mercenaries who survived the initial stage of the Tarkov conflict. After choosing one of the sides - USEC or BEAR - the player’s character starts to make his way out of the city. Tarkov is sealed off by UN and Russian military, supply chains are cut, communication with operational command is lost, and in these conditions everyone has to make his own choices of what to do and how to get out of the chaos-ridden metropolis.

Obviously I am passionate about the game, I have spent a lot of time working with it and yea I am obviously disappointed with their approach. If you want to summarise my thoughts. Its basically this: BSG technically can and will continue to do what they want in whatever ways they think they want to. Its wrong, clearly but they wont stop doing it. People need to stick with their morals if they think its wrong. Dont buy into it… its the only way
I'm 100% certain Arena failed because of streamers and their crying. It's only gotten better and better, the plan was to link the 2 but now BSG goes bankrupt so they "milking" it.
@@sarlaz3407 Mate, Arena was terrible when it launched. Some of the issues were servers, gunplay, armor, classes, exp rates, ranked only(for half it's lifetime), cheater problems, and the attempt to keep Arena from the EOD members and subsequent wave launch for the game. The reality is, they released a poor product and the reviews showed that.
indeed. after supporting eft with my money heart and soul for over 5 years im going over to arena breakout infinite and greyzone warfare. screw eft and nikita/bsg. pains me to say that but screw them all

@@FreerunningGamer What's your point? It was bad, now its great. "attempt at keeping EOD members away" is disingenuous, i got it 2nd week. It truly feels like this community is just man-children and cheaters a vast majority of the time. Tarkov is basically a homeless hobo and you want to kick him while he's down, think about it.
You are not responsible for the scummy business practices of any game dev company.
A person is if they continue to play said game and purchase products from said company, as that particular individual is supporting the scum and allowing said scum to continue in their scummy ways.

@TheRealToaster2 no one is blaming the player initially, but once a person has knowledge of a company being scummy and then continue to support said developer then they inevitably become just as bad as them and part of the problem.
No comment on "high priority matching"? Is that like ok? That means it is a thing and everyone seem to ignore that. That would explain "streamers" having less problem on a wipe days. And standard editions will probably have to wait longer to make them buy better edition to EVEN PLAY THE GAME.
Trust me everyone is talking about it. He prob just forgot to mention it. No EOD user, myself included, wants that shit. I uninstalled, I am done. I bought the game back in late 2018 because back then tarkov was fun no bullshit inertia that made your character a giant boat, no flea restrictions or a dog shit weight system (i dont think a weight system is a bad idea, but they def didnt do it the right way) so pvp was actually worth it, then they go and spend my investment in Arena that I did not want anything to do with I spent my money to invest in Tarkov not Arena, it flops, then they come back and produce DLC that they want me to now buy because they blew my investment for tarkov future DLC on some other project. And then top all of this cup filled of shit with letting cheaters run rampant and giving them sales after a ban wave every few months. F em. I will check out arena infinite but honestly even if it isn't good its not like I have been having fun in Tarkov in the last year. Back to single player games and MMO's where I don't gotta worry about cheaters or being scammed.
If you, the player, have any respect for yourself, just remove the game and forget about it. BSG are not that stupid, they are simply trying to make as much money they possibly can before dumping the game. This is not a behavior of company that cares about long term relationship with their players, it's about getting as much money as possible and moving to a different project.

I bought EoD in 2017 i think. I bought it because i loved the game and wanted the stash space, and the idea that you didnt have to pay anything again for the game. Oh well.
brother its been 9 years since the game came out.....its a surprise that its not dead already. You dont have to pay for anything.....how many times have you got kappa? and now you wanna do it offline? go play SPT, its literally free content you haven't seen before.

irony behind the name 'unheard edition' , because this really is unheard level of manipulation and microtransactions for a video game, especially one that prided itself on staying away from all that for years, in one 6 month period they went completely in reverse on that
As an EoD owner since around 2018 I didn't really care about most of the things they gave this new edition, but the Offline Coop felt like a slap in the face. I probably could have just about got over the other stuff if we got quests for the pockets etc. But man, calling offline coop a feature not DLC - I don't like being taken for a fool. I haven't logged in or even downloaded the latest patch and probably won't until they sort this absolute mess out.
Their issue is that their singleplayer runs on their servers. They'd overload anything due to lazy coding lol

I moved to SPT-AKI a couple years ago, and this new fumble only reinforces that decision. Never going back.
I hear you SPT is the best. I hope after this pile of garbage version releases modders will implement coop for it.
The best version for single players... you can mod the bots from stupid idiots to OP monsters, no wipes between updates, and a lot of QoL mods... we already had this but they got greedy and tried to capitalize on the SPT success, because they cannot contain the cheaters on the official servers. That was my main point of leaving the LIVE edition... and gone the SPT route... never been more happier.... i don't have time to play 12h a day to "stay competitve" maybe i play once at 3 days 2h at the time... and i enjoy the SPT since then.
This is the perfect time to try the SPT (Single Player Tarkov) mod, especially those who may have bought it recently and want to play a solo experience that you can tailor to your liking.
I bet that fancy booth they had for Arena release cost well over 1 million.
With tax, in the UK, it works out as roughly $335 to buy new. As you say for how broken the game still is and riddled with cheaters it is that's the worst deal in gaming history. If they needed money that bad they could have sold Nicki Minaj skins like normal bad devs.

I havent played for a year or more now after 3k hours in EfT.
Been playing Hunt showdown since then as my MP game fix, love it so much i have 900 hours now.
Im waiting for GrayZone. Its a lot of fun

Arena was not DLC because it was a separate download on the launcher. Everybody has to download the co-op game mode when they play EFT . “we are downloading a game feature “ . without a 250$ key…..
4 years later and BSG still haven’t fixed UI scaling! Terrible. I feel conned.

They kicked their own ass here. They milked the money with selling EoD forever. Now a ton of players has EoD and everything they release has to be given to all of them for free... so they have to say "it's not DLC, it's a feature" lol
I LOVE the fact that literally every single person you find online, is entirely against this...There isn't a video defending it, or even justifying it. People who have never played or really heard of it are joining in just to bash it. I love that and truly hope this crushes the company because it's a crime that they have committed, and they've made enough terrible decisions to justify losing everything.
not played live EFT for years due to the amount of BS in it, only really play single player tarkov and even that is rare. its a shame cos i've had alot of fun on here with my friends in the past
I gave up on it due to the jank and audio which never seemed to get fixed, found Hunt Showdown, no jank and the audio is best in genre. Not looked back.
I gave up on this game a bit over a year ago... I'm just coming back (with popcorn) for the drama :D
I know that BSG lost a shit ton money with the Arena but dont they think doing this will completely kill the game, it is not that hard to know this, i just dont understand why they decide to this.

We all understood and stand why you play this game and why you advise people to play it and get it or advertise it whatever you want to call it. Just don't blame yourself we don't blame you. Me personally I'm done with the game I was done the last wipe anyways I just played a few times on this wipe but the cheating is so bad that I just feel like I'm wasting my time playing the game now
Love the review of Tarkov Current state, I couldnt agree more pretty much same as me , i was here in the beginning of 2017 a little l8r. So every basic backer , every EOD all promised stuff. We played this wipe after wipe after , we tested all these bloody missions even some us made level 50 in the wipes. but 7 years on and SOUND is still goosed , wipes are still in play and after all those fun loving backers cannot now play the game without a WIPE. WTAF . You can check my comments over the years and i have been saying for over 3 years or more that Tarkov is now THE STAR CITIZEN of mil sim. it is as you said only a Business model for Nikita, we are the cash cows. Come on Grayzone cant wait for open beta

I don't think it's a wrong time tbh. I think the time is right, like they new that if the new game came, they will be fucked, they blow a lot of cash on the arena game, so they just throw half baked solo mode, to milk most of it. There is no new player from arena, old player leave the game, most of the time they add just two o three new gun and armor, none of the things that will make the game closer to release. And they got all the money they want from eod players, so the sooner the game die the better for nikita who may not even know what to do with eft now.
Since when can you buy extra stash space? From 2 to 28 extra lines of stash???? I've been playing since about 2019 and it's gone to shit now... us EOD players were meant to be the "premium edition" players and its complete bullshit
Jim Jefferies made a joke about how muskets were good back in the day for giving us a minute to calm down as we loaded, before we shot a guy for saying something about the wife..
They can ignore us but even just putting up a poll about the update the day before would give them a heads-up on the clusterfuq of a weekend they're about to have.. The offline coop is so highly desired by a certain group and the avoidance of cheaters and 'clean' experience of the game is a big part of that. I feel for Pest, the interview not so long ago and then this just entirely ignored him. Nikita is great for the development but he is detached from reality when it comes to the players, with all due respect.
Edit: I think they care about the game, just not the players funding it.

They have no respect towards their supporters and no passion towards their own game. Money is their passion.
High attention to details makes development prohibitively expensive. Just no money left to finish the release version as Arena was the last hope. Microtransactions failed to cover costs: the audience is too grown-up. Had to go back to proven monetisation method of EOD-like pack. No money to pay for PvE servers for all EOD owners. No publisher to support. Can not tell the truth as the creditors would finish the company the next day. Will release an unfinished game to cut costs, lose reputation and will be closed. Maddox Games story repeated.

early EOD supporter since 2017 here this is a stab on the back and the balls to all the die hards is not just the price of the edition 100 euros + taxes over EOD that is a scam because tarkov stil lis broken; unfinished , unpolished and filled with esp-radar cheaters , is not just the P2W stuff and the locked game mode , for a lot of us waaay worse than that is their actitude of lies and delays over the years , release a new title as DLC when tarkov Vanilla still is far from finished and add microtransactions
150 + taxes( on Spain is 21%) was already a super expensive game costed the same than 3 triple A games on release price for one eternal alpha and the promise of dlcs , especially was so expensive if you not live on US or the rich part of Europe and they not even deliver with that and now they are asking more money with P2W edition that seems made for RMT and carry services cheaters that extra flea slots and that radio seems made for them
i currently playing Day Z again and AB mobile fuck tarkov i will alwais miss the game but we as consumers we not deserve the deplorable state is in and the behaviour of BSG and less the tarkov ones that we have been defending the undefendible for years
Bought the game years ago and it’s still just too buggy, they’re fucked about with arena for two years and the release was just awful and it flopped. I think it’s kinda sad it’s come to this tbh. They’re broke bsg are just super frustrating stubborn devs and they’ve really fucked the em selves
Today i uninstalled this game. I owned it for 4 years now and never played except for some Customs raids in order to save the fun for when the game is actually finnished. If you have an EOD versionthink about how I feel. Welp, I only spent 30€, but it still hurts massively because it was the only game I was actually interested in. Guess I will never reach the flea market level in Tarkov now. What a greedy bastard that Russian. Sorry, but it felt already unfair to play against people who have a way bigger safe container from the get go. now they are basically safe from Scavs and can call in their butt buddies as soon as solos like me get the upper hand. How can you destroy the balance of the meta gameplay in such a idiotic way?!

Thes people think $150 is a joke.... I love this game...that's why I got EOD...thats 12500/- INR in India. A guy can live for a month with that money. I kid you not thats the salary of some of my employees... Now I have to pay another 100$ for some stuff I was already promised when I purchased EOD no matter what technicalities they use it's a DLC...I am honestly done...and I would recommend any people who want to pay for this game not to purchase it...they have broken the trust of their customers...I am done with this game.
do what all of us are doing. move to arena breakout infinite and play that instead. bsg seem to hate them also which makes me even happier playing arena breakout when it comes.

I get it... But we really have to get off the hate waggon regarding micro transactions...
1. People are gonna people and screw up sometimes including promisee that just can't realistically be kept.
2. For us to continue to be able to play the game into the future they HAVE to have a revenue source. Ultimately there will only ever be so many people that will want to buy the game.
So it's micro transactions, or much worse as we all just clearly witnessed.
However, these micro transactions obviously should not be game breaking or anything even remotely close.

The upgade is £118 I checked by going through the process. I uninstalled straight after that, this game is a scam I am so sad I love Tarkov but I can't support this. Under UK laws I am not shaw if I am intitled to a full refund but if I am I will take it(I bought EOD in 2020).
Would be very hard to prove what is and isn't DLC and they've already said it wasn't them who made the changes to the website so they're basically blaming hackers which would be hard to disprove too. Think we just have to take the L and not play, watch streams etc. Trust me if streamers stop playing because they don't get enough viewers, games start dying very fast.
As much as I hate the shit they've done (I uninstalled the damn game, and I wont be playing it probably ever again), the knife isn't a unity asset flip; it's just modeled after a real kukri knife, and if you look *closely* you can tell it's a different asset from what I've heard. Not defending any of the other bullshit they've done, they deserve no benefit-of-the-doubt, but I figure we might as well be accurate with the facts if we're gonna be pissed lmao.
I just uninstaled game after 6 years. Bought GZW for 34E and save money :)
