Another great review gentlemen on the Blanton's Special Reserve, but again a bottle not likely to be seen by most of us, which brings up the question "How many bottles did Ben Richard bring back from Germany?" I can't take the Blanton's roller coaster in pricing in my state now the boxed Blanton's Single Barrel is $45 which was $65 with net. Cheers to great Bourbon!

This sells out quickly in Ontario because it is not available in the US. I always ignore it and pick up the regular SiB or Gold but they all sell out quickly. Of course the Western New York folk will pop across the border for the Gold and the Reserve, especially with the strong US dollar.
I agree with Ben because they export this to other countries for a reason. It's not good bourbon. I have tasted ithis blantons before and I was not impressed with it at all. I remember thinking when I tasted it that Jim beam was a better bourbon than blantons. And jim beam is a sad mixer at best lol. Proof determines flavor quite often. I think if it were a 110 proof bourbon at 10 years old it may be a good dram. And even then not worth more than $40 - $45. Thanks for the review.
8.0? complexity? kidding .I have bought 20bottles Blanton's in box at 18$ per each bottle(so cheap!) longtime ago and I gave it all to my aquaintence at free after i tried 3bottles. Really sucks it was though it was better than Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey 8years .
