you all probably dont care but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Richard Angelo I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I really love this stuff. If you've never had or don't like Japanese whisky then you probably can't appreciate it for what it is. I'm a big Suntory and Nikka fan.. my first bottle of whisky i bought was Hibiki Harmony so I appreciate the floral and delicate flavor in Japanese malt whisky. Over the last two years I got big into bourbon so I'm a big fan of Beam/Suntory taking this risk and blending finished bourbons to create a greater sum than the individual parts. The flavors all mingle together and create something fresh and approachable.. that's also affordable and easy to get. If all you're looking for is bourbon notes then do yourself the favor and don't hate on Legent. It's something new, it's not trying to be bourbon or malt whiskey.
Did none of you notice the profiles in the the waterfall on the front of the bottle? I think they did a great job on the bottle to profile the collaboration between the two companies and the master distillers. It is a very different and interesting bourbon, that I’m still trying to decide how I feel about. I also think they priced it very reasonably, which I appreciate.
Excellent bourbon IMO. Classic Beam with a nice twist. I think they did an excellent job. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next. Great assessment by you all! Cheers guys 🥃
Sad to see that your shirt is only available in slim fit and up to 2XL. A tall fellow like myself needs a 3XLT or 4XLT depending on fit and brand. I'd definitely buy one if my size was available.
We'll work on getting more designs and size options soon! That was all of the sizing options Teespring offered for their "tri-blend" shirt. We'll definitely announce new designs when we get them in the store and we'll make sure to include ones with more size options! Thanks for the feedback.
Good points. I had this with a thick steak, nugget potatoes, and corn. It went VERY well with that.I like the bottle a lot, but yeah, maybe make it like two sided(not symetrical), so one looks Asian, the other a more classic.(Might cost some $ though). It needs more complexity in the flavour, maybe more leather/cherry taste? I like it a lot, but Matusalem rum has a similar taste, with more leather, similar oak, and more vanilla. Plus its 2/3 the price!(at least in Canada). I think they need a second try at it!
Please review the Bookers 2019-01... Found only one review so far and it wasn't good news... Bookers cost $80 in Michigan and I would love to see what you guys think before I drop that cash...
Good job on the review of this "curved" bourbon. For myself, it was surprisingly pleasant for the price point and enjoyable. Like all of you seem to think, I think the uniqueness of this bourbon is how it evolves as you enjoy your pour. This sure isn't like any Kentucky STRAIGHT bourbon I have had.
Wow!! The Butcher of Bakersfield becomes the Baker of Butchers with that chef hat!?? Do you think since it has a strong Japanese connection, this may have been developed and made to mix with soda and / or water, ice rather than sipped neat? You may need a Japanese set-up kit with high ball glasses, a bucket of ice and bottle of soda water to mix and drink. But drink it how you like it best. Cheers!!
Great job fellas! Sounds like a different pour and one I will grab if spotted. I like it when they keep things interesting. Variety is the spice of life, spoken from a man who isn’t big on Scotch...yet!😁Cheers! 🥃👍
The bottle design looks similar to Hibiki, with an American touch. I like it. As for the review, It has piqued my interest so I will have to find and buy some. Your past reviews have helped me choose, and enjoy some good stuff. Thank You GUYS!
i DESPISE this bottle. shape, label, name... made it very hard to pick up a bottle. but with all the hype and the fact that it's relatively cheap i couldn't resist. not blowing me away yet lol hopefully it will grow on me
You mention this is kindalike East (Coast) meets West (Coast)= is that like TwoPack Vs the Biggie Smalls?? That wraps music can get kinda ruff!! Where is ShaggiNightz?? Cheers!!
Wow, the underlying tension and hatred/animosity. That is the prevailing and lingering effect from this review. The foursome is squabbling with the bearded one, now there are three.
Aged total: 5 years bourbon + 1 yearr in California red wine + 2 years in Sherry cask - total 8 yrs old whisky. This profile would very much fits scotch drinking fan. Not much for daily bourbon fan due to the fruity.
I generally like this review channel. 50% for the reviews and 50% for personalities. Every review channel is going to be the usual, "Caramel, oak, vanilla, blah blah blah," but the personalities and the banter and the "podcastibility" of having it on in the background as I do housework or whatever is important. With that said, the guy on the left is kind of annoying when he feels the need to "reign in the boys and get the show back on track." Let them banter. It's fun. I enjoy a 20 minute mini bourbon podcast. The more I get to know the personalities, the more I get attached. It's not much different than radio and the relationship between listener and (DJ - host?).
Hey fellas, I bought a bottle of Legent two weeks ago. I got home, gave it a go and was immediately disappointed. Have had several pours since. The ending just simply blows. It really doesn't matter what goes on in the beginning, the middle or the nose, the finish is fairly fucking awful. Tannic, bitter, dry and unappealing. It's as if they some how developed the technology to bottle that awful piece of shit movie, "Knowing," starring Nicolas Cage. Sure there are some high points, a solar flare or two and we all get to enjoy Cage's demise, but the ending, what in the fuck was up with that shit? I wish aliens would come down and whisk this bottle off my bourbon shelf. Kids, when it comes to purchasing the Beam/Fukuyo collaboration, just say Noe. Love your show, guys, keep up the good work.
Will L E G E N T be L E G E N D? Stay tuned to find out!

@Richard Angelo It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account !
@Javion Tadeo no problem :D

Are you guys excited for the Suntory Ao whiskey coming out soon? It is a blend of Japanese, Irish, Scotch, Canadian, and American whiskeys.

Is that the guy who jumped out of the trunk on Hangover?

@Casey R. Haha, they just added some new options in the store today.
Just want to say that your logo rocks. Four lines and a block of color. Brilliant...
Thanks!
I think I would be more excited if it was actually blend of Japanese whisky with Jim Beam bourbon.
That will the the Suntory Ao, a blend of Japanese, Irish, Scotch, Canadian, and American whiskeys.
If it's matured in wine and sherry cask, is it still considered as bourbon if New oak isn't the only one used? L
Yes, it's just considered a finished bourbon!

This was $33.99 in Northern KY
$40 outside of Louisville

....very very very complex.. gives it a 1.5...?
A bourbon that evolves like a scotch?

lmao the cooking stock photos
I find it to be a very nutty aftertaste, not tannic. Odd overall indeed

American bourbon for the Japanese palate
