It dont matter pull up or not fog maps should be removed they don't look cool because you literally have Can't see anything and it's not good for the game as you can't see anything
They've actually kinda nerfed CAS sometime earlier this year. It's waaay more common with maps with haze nowadays. Makes it harder to see ground targets (sometimes much harder).
And it was a great change. The same map can play a bit differently with different weather and there are more clouds now which makes air-to-air more interesting too.

This might be a little bit unrelated to top tier but i once had a Shot Mk8 shell bounce off a M4A1 center hull at a slight hull position truly solid shot and sabot is unpredictable EDIT: the British tech tree being a complete hit or miss is the main reason why I skipped both rank 1 and rank 2 vehicles with the good old TOG II until I could get up to rank 3 one of the very only british vehicles imo that's actually justifiable
Spookston saying "Yeah buddy, good one!" to his Sidewinder is not where I expected to get my daily dose of wholesome today. Also finally had a game where I swear half the team was asleep. Snuck around with a T-34 and just...oh hey there's 5 kills. Lost the game but it was really funny!
honestly an incredible vehicle. it’s like an object 906 but for low tier italy. ok gun, good reload, good mobility and low profile. I played it last night and got lots of 8-15 kill games
Even though the Abrams didn't get spall liners (much to my chagrin) I have noticed a boost in it's survivability This is even reflected in the protection analysis, as an APFSDS pen doesn't become a giant shotgun blast to the whole interior like it used to. Pre patch a pen to an Abrams might as well have been an APHE round.
So it's not just me... hm, because I noticed this also on the dev server, to a more extreme degree, where all APFSDS just spalled less. I now pretty much can't kill the entire turret crew anymore with one shot at the very bottom of the hull. Before I could, which was admittedly rather sad to begin with.
@@Wotplaya4 I think it was a stealth buff. I don't recall seeing any mention of it in the patch notes, but it was definitely something I immediately noticed. Maybe they were throwing the US a bone since they seem to refuse to give us spall liners lol.

The AI enemies were just soaking APFSDS rounds. Anyways, it helps those who did not receive spall liners so there's that. However it's still not totally impossible to completely nuke the turret crew, but much less so. I'm now mostly just looking forward to the promised devblogs regarding the Abrams (and chally 2) armor reports. Though I can totally imagine it won't lead to anything happening.

The F-15 being used as it was intended is great to see, meaning sweeping the skies clean of enemy planes so ground forces can do their thing uninterrupted
The Radar might be good but we still using relativly early Aim-7 sparrows in game, when facing the ground they tend to have a tendancy to just lose connection
that's all radar missiles, the 7M is a fairly modern variant of the Sparrow and has ground clutter rejection, though it doesn't have the DL or optimized trajectories or pathing of an P/MH
@@dbzfanexwarbrady that is modern for a 7M, a non modern Sparrow would be one from the 70's like a 7F, the P/MH are only older by a few years or decade at most, the AIM-120A is well over 30 years old, so is the B you can't really get much more modern than a 7M other than a few years of development and even then the later models really wouldn't do much for sparrows in game
i really dont understand radar missiles in the game in general. like half the time when i get a lock on a enemy with radar the missile just doesnt wanna lock/ become red circle it just stays my reticle colour all the time for no reason
@@supermarinespitfire3760 Radar lock isn't the same as missile lock. In simplest of terms radar missiles are head on only. Sparrows are notoriously easy to notch (flying sideways) to break their tracking, even if radar lock is solid. Tracking in side or rear aspect depends on target altitude, but in general you want to be much closer to the enemy to the point you might as well toss a IR missile.
Day 49: Spookston you should play the russian traktor tank destroyer, the Zis-30, its so hilarious to play with its wacky suspension and to use in an uptier
The Sparrow will explode if it can’t see the target. Make sure the reticle goes red before firing. Also be aware of how the target is maneuvering before firing. The AIM-7M has an inverse mono pulse seeker so it has look-down capability, but it filters out the aircraft’s radar returns from ground clutter by Doppler analysis, so if it is flying perpendicular to you and the aircraft’s radar is looking downward, you run the risk of the target “flying through the notch” and breaking radar lock after launch. If the aircraft is turning erratically, suddenly flying perpendicular can notch your radar, so don’t engage with a sparrow unless you just want to force them to go defensive. It’s also been widely complained about that radars with look down capability are losing lock against aircraft that aren’t notching when they shouldn’t be. The thing is that even if this bug occurs for a split second, the moment the missile loses lock (whether it should or just because of buggy game logic) it will explode.

I'm a conscript working in an air base and it's wild how when I first started playing this game it literally had a tier system from 1 to 20, now the teams straight up look like they launched from our runways
CAP in ground RB is one of my favorite things, encourages BVR, trying to stay away from SAMs and the lack of markers makes stealthier gameplay much more viable, and I’ve had some of my best real match dogfights in ground rb

Haze just means the fighters take longer to find my HS129B, meaning i can sneak an additional kill or two in
