On the subject on “Sentry Soldier of Stone,” I think this is an awesome card and help make Rock decks more effective despite Rock monsters may be less common type. I use it all the time. You should’ve mention if you use like “Foolish Burial,” “Catapult Zone,” or “Rock Bombardment,” you’ll throw “Sentry Soldier of Stone” to the Graveyard but special summon onto the field if you already have Rock-type monster(s). With another Level 3 Rock-type, XYZ summon “Gorgonic Guardian” which can target one monster, turn ATK to 0, and destroys it. You just have to mix with other cards, like a couple “Gorgonic” monsters, “Naturia Rock,” and others. Of course, you can Link or Synchro summon, and even Fusion summon with the new “Fossil” archetype. It may not be competitive or “meta” but it’s only one of those decks where you fast summon as many monsters and overwhelm your opponent if you have the right cards in hand.
Sentry Soldier of Stone is a great Staple card in Pure Rock Decks but the problem is that Pure Rock Decks don't get that much competitive play (specially now with Crystron Halquifibrax around) since they tend to be very slow to fully combo by nature, in great part because of it's lack of support (specially one that allows speeding their summons)
@@alpha34098So true. Even though I don’t know anything about the Meta community. I’m more a purist when it comes to Monster types and archetypes with few exceptions like useful card effects.
Wooo! Endymion respect! Fun fact you'll pretty much always search Spell Power Mastery with it, with gives a counters plus lets you add any Endymion card to your hand. Meaning you can get another copy and simply pendulum summon out the first one that was destroyed and do everything all over again
You misread Kaiser Vorse Raider, terribly, rofl... It doesn't special summon, it normal summons, and its stat gain only lasts one turn so it usually only gets it once at a time lol
You have no idea how happy I am to see those two specific cards at #2 and #1. When we were young and those cards were new, my little brother used a Zombie deck with Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon and I used a Spell Counter deck with Endymion. And I don't give a shit that it wasn't competitive, I kicked my little brother's ass with that deck every time and so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Actually... no, he isn't I'm not making this up btw He said once he accepts scripts from other people to be showcased on the channel, thats why he has so many other "Logs" channels Quantity over Quality
Very cool video. Your voice is so smooth. One thing. The Kaiser Vorse Raider its a fusion of 2 Kaiba's cards: Vorse Raider and Kaiser Sea Horse. That explains the extra level for me, cause it has more "power"
reactor dragon and ancient gears are dead now sadly since the best cards are reactor dragon and ultimate ancient gear golem also we stopped getting support
Correction to Kaiser Vorse Raider: It can be Normal Summoned w/o tribute if you have no monsters on the field, which is considerably worse as it takes your normal summon
I really like the ancient gear archetype. They always feel very "real" to me, like I can imagine them moving and interacting very easily, compared ro other archetypes
"if you control no monsters, you can special summon this card (from your hand). If this card destroys an opponents monster by battle: This card gains 500attack. If this card is destroyed by battle: the monster that destroyed it loses 500 attack"
6:26 Bro I own multiple copies of this card on both of my duel links accounts and they never seen play. But NOW that you explained it's effect. I'm going to use it from now on.
It is worth noting that Kaiser Vorse Raider DOESN'T "special summon" itself. It is still eating your normal summon. Normally not eating your normal summon WOULD be a benefit, but he just lets you skip tributing his cost.
"if you control no monsters, you can special summon this card (from your hand). If this card destroys an opponents monster by battle: This card gains 500attack. If this card is destroyed by battle: the monster that destroyed it loses 500 attack"
Citadel Whale still sees play in DL, though. SSA/Mythic Depths is one of the more popular variants of Crystron, which is already one of the best decks in the game. Also, the best target for Geartown is Wyvern. You summon it together with Golem from the deck with the town+catapult combo and pop off from there, ending on a Chaos Giant or Megaton Golem, depending on the situation, plus 2 bodies for Link or XYZ summoning or just attacking.
Fun fact from someone who played a lot of off-meta 8-9ish years ago power angel Valkyria effect is in reference to a card called herald of perfection as the deck was built around fairies and Dunames dark witch was the highest attack level 4 fairy normal monster you could get because the easiest way to get herald of perfection out was with advanced ritual art which required normal monsters, which is why its effect works with countering effects and adding fairies from your deck to your hand as herald of perfection worked by discarding fairy monsters to negate effects.
The effect text of Kaiser Vorse Raider says the 500 atk boost is only good until the next standby phase. Is it just an effect thats been changed or is that one part temporary with the other effects being permanent?
2:24 I don't mean to burst your bubble but have you read the card? "Till next stand by phase" not permanent. The second effect (destroyed by battle) is.

Cocoon can special Earthbound Immortal Uru and no one is even talking about it.
Because both of the cards suck.
Well, Uru self destructs if you don't have a field spell.
Wooo! Endymion respect! Fun fact you'll pretty much always search Spell Power Mastery with it, with gives a counters plus lets you add any Endymion card to your hand. Meaning you can get another copy and simply pendulum summon out the first one that was destroyed and do everything all over again
There was an evolution of Battle ox that has effect
Yes
and it is garbage.
@Micah Humes Yugioh has a high standard for decent cards.
Just found your channel yesterday! Idk anything about yu gi oh and tbh I'm not especially eager to learn but I've really enjoyed your content!
Top 10 cards that had their effects/flavor text altered for duel links.
Love the videos. Filled with nostalgia for the OG card game and duel links. Both games die for me when synchros enter the game.
Where was Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
The core of hopeless dragon deck? Yeah. I also wonder why it is not included on this list.
@@waygraph1920 yeah, it’s so obvious why it wasn’t included. So worthless, making so many other top 10s on this channel. Clearly a trash card. >_>
2:23 Both of these effects are permanent.
Card: "Until the next standby phase"
They are, read the real card
2:30 I'm sorry.....are u even reading the card?
Actually... no, he isn't I'm not making this up btw
He said once he accepts scripts from other people to be showcased on the channel, thats why he has so many other "Logs" channels
Quantity over Quality
Very cool video. Your voice is so smooth. One thing. The Kaiser Vorse Raider its a fusion of 2 Kaiba's cards: Vorse Raider and Kaiser Sea Horse. That explains the extra level for me, cause it has more "power"
Vorse Raider, and rude KAISER, is closer than sea horse
@@TimothyGod then why is blue?
reactor dragon and ancient gears are dead now sadly since the best cards are reactor dragon and ultimate ancient gear golem also we stopped getting support
Nice video man
Its very smooth and very nice
What about top 10 cards that don't fit/ mess up with their archetype??
Dude, do a part 2 of this. This is really good.
Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon is actually the Zombie version of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon.
You’re nuts, Trishula is stupid OP in DL, getting it out is nearly an auto win on that turn
Ya estaba hasta la ptm esperando videito te amo!
Take a shot everytime duel links is used to justify if a card is good or not.
? He isn't. Just saying it's good in another format
Correction to Kaiser Vorse Raider: It can be Normal Summoned w/o tribute if you have no monsters on the field, which is considerably worse as it takes your normal summon
Correction, it special summons itself
I really like the ancient gear archetype. They always feel very "real" to me, like I can imagine them moving and interacting very easily, compared ro other archetypes
I liked, subscribed, and commented. Now Gaia needs a proper lore video
Kaiser Vorse Raider can NORMAL summon itself w/o tributes. Thought just let you know. Good video tho!
Sentry soldier of stone can't even destroy the moon
Actually, it probably can.... it can work with "Attack the Moon!" after all.
very cool, this historical ygo series is my favorite
It is worth noting that Kaiser Vorse Raider DOESN'T "special summon" itself.
It is still eating your normal summon. Normally not eating your normal summon WOULD be a benefit, but he just lets you skip tributing his cost.
Another comment pointed that out and DuellLogs answered that it's just the wrong picture.
@@Cremig
I've been bamboozled.
Kagemusha of the Blue Flame => Shadow of the Six Samurai - Shien
You finally had the perfect time to talk about Six Samurais and you didn't. :(
As a player who knows more about Yu-Gi-Oh of the past, some combos look bad but not fully terrible.
"top 10 card evolutions"... why do i hear the digimon evolution theme in the distance?
Fun fact from someone who played a lot of off-meta 8-9ish years ago power angel Valkyria effect is in reference to a card called herald of perfection as the deck was built around fairies and Dunames dark witch was the highest attack level 4 fairy normal monster you could get because the easiest way to get herald of perfection out was with advanced ritual art which required normal monsters, which is why its effect works with countering effects and adding fairies from your deck to your hand as herald of perfection worked by discarding fairy monsters to negate effects.
Kudos for Endymion not taking half the video to read the effects
The effect text of Kaiser Vorse Raider says the 500 atk boost is only good until the next standby phase. Is it just an effect thats been changed or is that one part temporary with the other effects being permanent?
It's not the real card
YES... PLEASE PART 2 !! : )
Without this channel, I would not have managed to get back into Yugioh
Nice list. It is interesting to see the cards are indeed evolutions because the stats are the same or close to same.
Part 2 would be great! Collectors like me love knowing when new art of their fav stuff comes out
Glad to see you uploading again :D
Btw I'm the one who suggested the Kuriboh meme deck in the Duel Links live stream 😖
Great video love to see another part to this for sure
2:24 I don't mean to burst your bubble but have you read the card? "Till next stand by phase" not permanent. The second effect (destroyed by battle) is.
Everyone always forgets that my boy Archfiend Soldier was a 1900 atk normal monster all the way back in Dark Crisis. Vorse and Gemini get all the love.
A cool field spell would be one that makes the once per turn restriction be ignored for like 500-1000 life points after the first use.
That would be broken wdym
Easily my favorite video of yours 🤩
Great video! Here's my vote for part two.
Nice video! Love the Gaia cards, I wish baby dragon got more support too
I love the "retrain/evolution" videos since, one the one hand seeing older cards be power crept is a shame, it fun seeing how these cards can get better with a couple changes
