Ice Barrier extra deck: Titanium
now they have support they are insane
@@miguelbrandt9750 what new support?
I have the deck and it was a mistake for the deck not the extra deck
I have three of the structure decks that i have not opened. I approve this message..
Tbf, in the beginning of duel terminal, they're supposed to keep the dragon away instead of using them
Alternate title: explaining all the banned/errata’d Synchro monsters. ft. Borreload Savage
And T.G. Hyper Librarian
@@kingfatih it's been banned before tho
@@wrought-ironheroEMIYA yea but not errata'd and not currently banned. So it be wrong to say all the banned/errata'd synchro monsters - "explaining all the synchro monsters which were banned at 1 point ft. Borreload Savage" would be right .. i think
@@kingfatih this list went over cards that used to be banned as well "goyo guardian"

NGL, the concept of Synchro was way ahead of its time and I never thought that a handful of tuners would end up being banned today.
@@jandanielbondad5176 That's because of needlefiber at this point lol
@@xerospades My point exactly. Deskbot 001 and Plaguespreader is shaking right now because that card exists.

Smells like dark strike fighter in here
I have an original printing, when I got back into yu gi oh I read my old synchros and I was shocked about how broken it is
I was waiting for his spot on the list
@@ant-onemusic444 It was absurdly broken since day 1. It was an OTK/FTK machine. Even in decks not dedicated to specific FTKs. It could do 4k damage just on its own so you could just essentially throw your entire board at your opponent if you fell short of an attack-based OTK.
The reason Konami keeps making broken cards without a "once per turn" clause is because when the founders created the company,
they forgot to put the restriction "only create broken cards once per turn".
That was the thing with card design in early Yugioh. Once per turns were rare in the earliest history of the game likely because there was no need at the time. Then we got soft once per turns and the once per duel thing with Twin-Headed Behemoth which ended up becoming a rulings nightmare which resulted in an otherwise non-broken card getting Limited. Soft once per turns weren't really resetable either. They made Synchros broken as early on because they wanted to push the new game mechanic given how Fusions weren't really broken or even good as a whole for that matter except with Thousand-Eyes Restrict which was sorta broken with Metamorphosis and then Instant Fusion.
Or maybe bc broken cards sell a lot and give then tons of money
"In this video, we'll be going over--" Whatever it is, I'll love it

Yeah, absolute and universal truth

I'm glad that T.G. Hyper Librarian _finally_ has a spot in one of The DuelLogs's top-ten lists after only being mentioned in many others.
And one of the best ones at that
5ds and Synchro Era really live up to their name. Evolve and predict the future.
Imho it was the best era of the game along DUEA
Card games on motorcycle
The 5DS era was basically the only time I REALLY played this game, like getting cards IRL and travelling to tournaments. And as this list shows, it was quite the wild ride 😌
5ds era was the best era change my mind
@@NeostormXLMAX lemme guess, you grew up with the anime
I can't believe 3 of the most broken Synchros came out of such a mediocre archetype
That was the whole point of ice barriers in the beginning.
Somehow that fit their lore so much
@@nabkill0134 Yeah, the lore of Ice Barriers was just human sealed off these insanely powerful dragons from one generation to another. And Dewloren was like the Holy Beast that protected those seals or something. In the new support card artwork you can see Dewloren got wrecked by Trishula tho. It's kinda spotted on considering Dewloren got once per turn nerf while Trishula is just as strong as ever while also having a new upgrade form lol
Duel Terminal lore has it that the Ice Barrier dragons were these uber-powerful creatures that took a lot of effort to seal away.
And they were only released one by one to fight off the invasion of the Worms. Trishula was the last seal, and it f-ed up the Worms.
But now the Duel Terminal tribes (Dragunity, Ice Barrier, Mist Valley, -tellar Knights, and some others) have a new problem: the Ice Barrier dragons are free again.
@@sekaihunter9378 you mean the zero dragon, right?
The fact that 3 ice barrier synchro monsters are on this list really shows how impressive there extra deck monsters are compared to the main deck.
Also I don't know if you already did this but can you do a list on the best non generic xyz monsters
For real they're so good I don't associate them with the archtype
Man, i consider that they are from a series of extra deck monsters. The Ice Barrier archetype isn't worth of such power and the difference between the Dragons and the rest of the archetype is stunning
By lore, main deck Ice Barrier monsters are actually trying to prevent them from being summoned, that's why they're so bad at bringing them out lol

I remember playing water decks from chaos era to syncros. People were always confused why and I just loved water. Then one day brionic and deep sea diva came out along with my favorites like abyss soldier and premature burial and other combos it was crazy and my water decks got way overpowered very quickly. And abyss and brionic were great counters to other syncros at the time
I love how you're going directly to your top 10s without a long introduction.
I'll be honest, including an example clip for the more complex card explanations is an amazing idea for more casual duelist like myself that just don't care about the meta enough to learn these things. I could learn it on my own in 10-30 minutes or I can get the jist from an example.
If Borreload Savage Dragon is at the bottom of the list, you know it's going to be interesting. It will never stop being hilarious to me that most of the main deck Ice Barriers are garbage, yet they've had one Extra Deck monster that didn't spend time on the ban list. And the one Extra Deck monster they have didn't serve time is still good. I'm starting think that when Yugioh tries to implement something new, it's either not worth the time (original Fusions) or straight busted (early Synchros and Links).
Ice Barriers desperately needed a monster lineup dedicated to a time when they needed to release the Dragons.
Top 10 Extra Deck Monsters That Are Retrains Or Evolutions Of Main Deck Monsters
D/D/D Orleans looks like Guardian Angel Joan, has a similar effect, same stats and would be able to counter OTK burn damage decks

Stardust Dragon and Junk Destroyer will always be my favorites
Sucks to be one of the OG Ancient Fairy Dragon crew though.
"Oh man, this card has so much potential!"
"You don't say? Well here is a bunch more cool Field Spell cards..."
"Aw sweet, its time!"
"Aaand, it's banned."

Theres a solid rogue deck in duel links at the moment that revolves around using junk convertor and junk synchron to go into junk warrior -> stardust dragon (or junk destroyer). A skill unique to Yusei and the recent release of Tuning makes this very consistent. Theres the added benefit that with summoning stardust dragon, the skill let's you summon formula synchron for free so you can go into shooting star dragon
Thats one of the decks main plays. The other play is to use quickdraw synchron and mill/discard Olion or use Junk forward to go into Junk Destroyer
@@shasan2393 Yeah, trying to build it right now. The annoying part it trying to get the copies of Tuning that I need.
yeah solid star road skill is broken in duel links atm.
@@SnorticusClavicus True, I mean a free Junk Synchron target and Formula Synchron. Not to mention the deck restrictions to use the skill isn't a problem since the cards in those archtypes are pretty good in their own right.
Borreload Savage Dragon is truly Savage in effect.
The card "Denglong, First of the Yang Zing" should've definitely been in this list. You can summon it with completely generic material and it can search an counter trap with Omni-Negate ability. And when Denglong leaves the field, you can summon a monster from your deck.
should have shared the spot with Ib to be honest, they do basically the same thing
I definitely thought it was going to be 1/2
It was originally going to be in 10th place, but I thought Borreload Savage dragon was better. The omni negate it searches is only live while Genglong is on the field, and the card it summons from the deck on its death is only a yang zing monster, so you have to play a garnet outside of yangzing decks if you want its floating effect to be live. Its still good, but theres a reason its unlimited in the OCG with no problems.
@@TheDuelLogs after i watched the video and thought critically about the commentary, tempest magician should have been a #10/ honorable mention and denglong should have been placed on the list through your own criteria: an ftk enabler is only as powerful as the engine that facilitates the ftk

One thing I love about Synchros is that they seemed to make lower level monsters more valuable because they could be used as Material. I feel like before Synchros came out, monsters were judged based on their level, among other factors. Great video, by the way!!
I started playing the game in the Synchro Era (2011) and I was wondering why cards like Brionac, where you need to discard so many cards, were considered good. I couldn't understand how easy it was to abuse these effects.
By the way, Dark Strike Fighter was super easy to obtain, being in a Starter Deck. I remember all of my friends had one in the Extra Deck, but almost never summoned it
I will still not get over the delicious irony that Ruka/Luna - the Signer with the least amount of screen-time, is the one whose Signer Dragon became so ludicrously busted that it's banned. Maybe the Dark Signers really were onto something when they had Ancient Fairy's card under their grasps.
Technically luna is not the signer with the least screen time that technically belongs to leo
Don't forget Brionac came out when old priority was a thing so you were going to bounce at least one card when you bring it out.
What’s old priority
@@Deathmare235 With old Priority, when you summon a monster you can activate it's effect before your opponent can respond so in Brionac case when you bring it out you can immediately use its effect before your opponent could activate Trap Hole for example
@@bdf1006 Basically. Or in modern terms, a standard ignition effect could be used as if it were a quick effect with old priority. Good times. Though no longer having it made stuff like Bottomless Trap Hole better than it already was.
And now we have barron de fleur
I've been waiting for this day to come. Synchros are my favorite types of cards so seeing this made me happy. Also can you do top 10 best and worst XYZ monsters.
Nice vid! Can't wait for the custom cards review ❤️
And now Trishula is completely free...
Awesome video! Scarlight, Crystal Wing, Stardust and Junk Warrior are my favorite Synchros
Yeah my synchro deck in yugioh 5d world championship over the nexus game is so great
Great job man! Really well done. Excited for the next videos
I still remember when I was in Middle School, when Brionac was released for the 1st time, I got it from a $3 dollar pack and immediately put it in my Chaos Monarch deck.
good times
Is that good
I ran Fish FTK at 2011 Nats. The deck used TG Hyper Librarian to continue drawing cards as you managed to summon three Formula Synchron, three Dewloren, a Brionac, and eventuality loop the same Trishula 5 times using a combination of Brionac's effect, Symbols of Heritage, Level Eater, and Dewloren's effect. And then the ending board gets ready to do it again on the opponent's turn with Formula Synchron. I just love how all of those components were mentioned in this video!
I miss fishborg blaster
@@JungleRice Dude, same. It always pains me how cards like halqifibrax can be printed and used for ages, but the current meta just can't handle a card from 2009 can't be at one copy per deck. Too powerful.

God, I hope Ib comes back. As a World Chalice player since Links started, she was a godsend. Really boosted consistency and gave the deck access to synchro plays (which usually resulted in Borreload Savage tbh). Sadly, I think the only way she’s come back is if they changed her summoning conditions to include a WC monster to stop her from being completely splashable
Brother she has returned
Neat video! Thanks for uploading!
This brings back so many memories
YES as a massive synchro fan this is now my favourite video
Funny how the ice barrier archetype is so bad but it’s synchro monsters were so incredibly broken. Maybe they did that for that reason. Otherwise probably everyone would have ran an ice barrier deck in the day.
Excellent video- very entertaining to watch. Suggestion box: Top 10 Field Spells
Finally, a video about my favorite extra deck monster and now i know why they're all so good
I want a part 2 on that cards that tell a story video
Funny enough, Gaia Knight was actually played quite a bit during a specific time in YGO because of the popularity of Fiendish Chain.
It was also played since better options for a Generic Level 6 didn't exist at the time.
I am a synchro fan and was looking forward to this video
Maaaaate, seeing Tempest Magician on this list made me remember when I built my spellcaster counters deck (from scratch; didn't have much for structure decks). She was one of my favourite cards ever, and I ended up losing her in a house fire recently :(
Had a pretty consistent karakuri build with tempest magician that added the counters using the discard effect. The drawing potential of karakuri's is crazy
Top 10 XYZ monsters of all time next.
probably shock master takes the cake
It might just end up being a list of Utopia cards lol
Goyo guardian plus DSF was such a great but OP combo back in the day of 5Ds
Brionac is one of favorite synchro monsters in Duel Links; it so powerful when combined with other monsters that can special summon themselves from the GY to win through an OTK. Duel Links has starting life points at 4000.
Happy to see Trishula. It was my favorite synchro card in my old duel generations dragon deck.
I was expecting to see Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon
I think the summoning restriction is just to restrictive, it's not bad, but just not good enough.
Crystal Wing is good, but not broken in any way
Windwitch made it easy to summon but outside that, some deck has to jump over 2 fences to go for it, so yeah not that broken especially when it is partially useless against Link and XYZ.
@@grafinakaasu9048 almost any synchro deck can bring it out,and it's definitely worth it!One of rare monsters who can singlehandedly beat Dragoon...
@@dexterion5940 yes, but if you are able to make crystal wing or borrelload savage dragon and have a link monster in your GY you are mostly gonna make borrelload, but you can make borrelload in many situations, other then crystal wing.
God I love this channel I always learn so much about the game
From someone who stopped playing in 07, I learn so much from you.
Nice vid!
I think a list of the monsters with the best or worst continuous effects would be a fun one
Started playing in the DM era and quit during GX. I came back during the Synchro era and remember all these meta defining cards and combos. Black Rose + Goyo + Dark Strike Fighter, scoop; Six Samurai with Gateway and 3 x Legendary Shi en with triple spell and trap negate; Plant Synchro with 3 x Formula Synchron that resulted in easy 1 -2 Shooting Star Dragon on field for game.
fairy dragon was already huge in post ban dragon ruler with the dragon ravine combo
Borreload Savage Dragon is still extremely widely used to this day
Original Dark Strike Fighter was so easy to OKT with. Summoner Monk+Cat+ mind control or 2 Gravekeeper spies+cat into 2 Dark Strike Fighters is lethal, because atracking with 2 2600s and burning for 2800 is 8000. It was really easy to set up turn 1 or 2 and the spells/traps back then were easy to hate out.
25:56 He uses Geh in the example because Hardleg Joe keeps losing to it.
top ten cards that got off the ban list
hey, im new to your channel could you do some top 10 tournament plays or tournament decks. explaining how the deck works or how the play was impactful
Probably the greatest irony was that Dark strike fighter was less broken in the anime than in the actual card game with the anime effect being: Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 monster, except this card, to inflict damage to your opponent equal to its Level x 200. If you activate this effect, this card cannot declare an attack.
Yo, ma boi Brionac's on the thumbnail, yay!
I always loved hidden arsenal cards and Ice barriers where always in my top 3 card types !
Beelze Crystalwing scarlight
Could have been honerable mentions
Everyone: The damn Quasar dragon
I used ancient fairy dragon quite a lot, at first as a psychic deck counter, but later as an additional terraforming for dragon ravine
Have you ever done top 10 pendulum extra deck monsters, or top 10 pendulum normal monsters? The fact that nearly anything could by a hybrid/pendulum monster has always been one of the most interesting aspects of them to me.
Hello Hiru’
I don’t know did you already made, but have you made one Top 10 most aggressive decks?
Librarian and Formula were important combo extenders in my Fish Quasar Exodia deck. Then the deck was hit hard all in one banlist, limiting or banning those synchros, fishborg, avarice. While the deck was fun (except for the opponents) luckily I didnt try to build it IRL (as Quasar wasn't out in TCG yet I think).
Are you going to do a top 10 series of all extra deck monsters?
Always liked using cyber dragon + Junk Synchron + Dark Bug to make trishula. It was cool because either bug or junk worker to resurrect each other, and could also go into dark diviner on their own.
Love to see a best in duel links series please
My boy PSY-Framelord Omega should’ve been on this list.
Yeah I think that he could take Goyo Guardian, since is not a good as Omega even without the errata.
I run an ice barrier deck in RL and in master duel. And its solid, if you build it right you can almost always syncro/ half fill your field.
Get 3 on the field and put out freezing chains and their extra deck has no effects on your ice barriers.
I like your top 10 videos. They are what made me subscribe to your channel. Please do a top 10 XYZ best and worst cards.
Top 10 parody cards.
Top 10 cards based on other Konami games.
Top 10 special conditions in the games.
Top 10 anime/manga exclusive cards.

Soitsu and Aitsu could probably fit on most of those lists.
Thank you for pronouncing justiciar properly.
It's impressive that we haven't had this top before
So I am only asking because I have been playing with duel links otk all-out attack/cactus fighter, and would like to try something a little different with that effect, that being said, can you make or point me to a video that has cards similar to cactus fighters effect??
When talking about Ancient Fairy Dragon, I feel like they always had this idea that field spells would be a broken mechanic or that they were stronger than they actually were. It's one of my favorite mechanics in the game and I like that each player can have their own now, but it's so weird how they developed towards this current iteration and just how much power some of the field spells have now when compared to stuff like Mountain and Umi.
You could cut tempest magician's spell counter requirement down if one of the spells in your gy was a previously activated magical blast, a card that inflicts burn damage for each spell caster you control and if you did go for the full Endymion pendulum package, would get you a head start on spell counters as it prepares to deal damage. If you control 2 pendulum scales, and 4 face up Spellcaster monsters including tempest magician you could take a decent chunk of your opponent's LP with this normal spell and have your field gain 2+ spell counters based on the kinds of cards on it. Scary strong combo.
I know your voice from somewhere, did you do WoW Guides or Lore Videos at some point?
Trishula dragon of the ice barrier is mostly for a combo with another ice barrier card: trishula zero dragon of the ice barrier that has a really op effect thats once per turn, but i never thought of that trishula dragon combo with de synchro, do you know where to find de spell card(s)?
Imagine if the new Trishula getting in the banlist like the others, especially now that Ice Barriers has more than five ways to summon their monsters easily now. (Granted that the opponent doesn't have Ash or Veiler)
Me who just realized F.A.s and Fairy Dragon are both in Duel Links now:
"Oh yeah, its all coming together"
I dont play Yugioh for maybe 8 Years, But i am adicted to these videos xD
I ran ancient fairy dragon when it came out in a water deck. It was very good.
What software is this your using.?
This is a really well written video, only topped by Top 10 Waifus
What do you think about Baroness? I know it's not in the tcg yet but it looks super strong!
Dark Strike Fighter was so OP when it first arrived in the TCG 😲😏
Easy solution to Ib: make it’s two effects mutually exclusive along with the hard once per turn (aka: “you can only use 1 effect of ___ per turn, and only once that turn).
Borreload Savage would be a main deck monster with 0 ATK & DEF that requires 2 specific monsters to be destroyed at the same time to summon itself and equip any monster from your GY if it was made in the Duelist Kingdom era.
And it'd still see play.
I remember there being a puzzle in the Over the Nexus game that used Dark Strike Fighter. To beat the puzzle you had to bring it back with its effect negated, then tribute it to its own effect to inflict the last of the damage, which apparently is allowed.
Of course it's allowed. The effect resolves in the graveyard.
When an effect is negated, you're still allowed to activate it. To activate DSF's effect, you tribute it. It's now in the graveyard, where the effect is not negated. It resolves, and burns
@@Sillimant_ I don't think so, if DSF got negated dark ruler no more, and you used the effect to tribute itself, it will stil be negated. A better example is seal of the heavenly spheres. It will still be negated because the chain link 1 starts on the field, and the effect is negated on the field.
Trishula was the best synchro with the six samurai deck xD you could get it in the first or second turn
I still find it hilarious how full power world legacy basically didn’t happen because girsu the orcust mekk knight was released after ib was already banned and that guy was basically designed to turbo that card out
