That is relatively close to the stretch of Highway 61 which we explored trying to find some of these Ghost towns. We also made a stop in Etzikom that is on the same Hwy 61. I made 3 other videos from the local museum as well. If interested I listed them for you below. I will keep that in mind for next time we are in the area. We stayed for a night at the 40 mile campground, just up the road from Foremost. Thanks for watching our videos and your comment.😄
It is interesting that there are no ghost towns in the quadrant south west of Calgary. (there are old elevator sites but no real towns). Pincher Station doesn't really qualify. Maybe the Twin cities north of Longview but there are no remains. Same as Oil City in Waterton but it doesn't have any real remains.
It may has something to do with the early days of homesteading and the southeast of Alberta was perhaps much more suited for that. The western part of the province appears more mining and oil and gas related. You mentioned Oil City. We made a video exploring Waterton and stopped in that area. Like you said, there is nothing really left of that town. Some signage with information where the oil well was is all we could find. If you are interested seeing it, here is a link to that video. ua-cam.com/video/o2cyLfswTd8/v-deo.html Longview has a interesting history as well. I think it used to be called Little New York? Made a couple videos about the Turner Valley gas plant and how it affected the area, including a full plant tour. It is very interesting to learn how things were in the past with towns growing and some of them disappearing again. Thanks for your comment and feedback. 😃
Thanks for your feedback. Yes the audio is not the best in that video. Made some upgrades to the equipment and myself the operator and I think the more recent videos have better sound quality🤠.
This is crazy to find, as a young child i lived in Picture Butte

Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
My mother's family had a branch in Turin, AB. The Turin Well was on their property.
Thanks for sharing. I love to check out old places and wonder how live was back then
