I scarified my lawn for the first time ever today and it wasn’t a disaster so thank you mate. I need to seed it pretty soon. Yeah I should’ve done it today I know.
I cycled and walked past that house(Mark's )many times during its construction, i wondered how it could be problematic with the water running off the hills to the rear, whatever was done, its worked a treat, and your lawn is literally living proof of that. 👍
Looks stunning. Regarding stripe width. I love stripes about 4ft wide. 🙂 I use a good old Qualcast Panther 30s push mower on my lawn so as it's only 12" wide In do a quadruple stripe. 🙂
Gave my front lawn a heavy scarify and reseed 2 weeks ago and I thought I’d killed it😂 It’s coming back strong this week, plenty of new grass shoots. Glad I did it before winter, had gone really spongey
I did a similar thing to my neighbours lawn and I did 3 deep passes with my Webb Petrol scarifier and I got 2 trailers of stuff of a 240m² lawn. It was super spongy. I put a fair bit of seed down and fertilised it and it's come back really good after just 5 weeks.
have you thought about putting a high-lift blade on your push mower? might improve the results and improve suction for bagging even more. Just wanted to share my thought if it can help.
Your videos have inspired me to treat myself to a petrol verticuter with separate scarifier cassette after my electric cheapo burned out a few years ago. My large lawn isn't the best and I usually cut it to about 2.5 inches. Is that ok to verticut at that length? Thanks
Lashing it down tonight here in South Lakeland. Tomorrows forecast is for fine weather. Scarrified on high last week, leaving a burnt brown looking lawn. Sould I cut short tomorrow, overseed and top dress (still using Jacks Magic) or am I going too early? Umpires call?!!!!!
unfortunately my lawn which has been great all summer has taken a massive downturn in the last week, cut it on Friday, woke up on Saturday to see lots of yellow/brown patches which are either Fusarium or leather jacket/crane fly damage 😞hoping it doesnt kill off the grass completely and leave bald patches over winter.
Question if possible, I laid a new lawn by seed in spring, a mix of rye and fescue....is it best to wait until spring next year before scaryfing due to still be a relatively new lawn? I read autumn os good but I also read its best to do this when the grass is in the growing season. I'm a bit busy over the coming several weeks therefore don't want to rush anything

@@LND8110 yeah AP next week hopefully, the bundles will be diff this year as bringing out two new winter products so will be doing multiple of those plus reduce is being made in 1ltr bottles so waiting for labels
