A really different video Dan, enjoyed it. For what it’s worth when I spray iron I go round the grass/patio edge with a watering can before spraying. Gives about a foot width of water to dilute any overspray, never had any staining.
I use large Paint straining bags to soak the seed for 24 hours, then just pull it out and hang to dry. I also mix it then with a premium soil and spread it out, I find the Topsoil just takes the last of the moisture up from the seed and it spreads well, and if needed I just top with some more topsoil
Tony Sinclair knows his stuff like you, Probably learnt a lot from Keith Kent back in the day. It's amazing the science in lawn care and the setups they have at old Trafford are amazing! Keep up the great work Daniel 👍
Great video lawn-wizard as you are always giving us many tips I’m gonna give you one. I’m in the motor trade and I use a product called fallout remover to remove iron filings from vehicles that have been near train stations. This product neutralises the iron and removes it And it does the same thing to slabs as I’ve made this mistake myself. 😊
With regards to the roll and stroll There are 2 different types of product. One for carpet and the other for hard surfaces. If like yours was pink I think the other is blue. The carpet one won’t stick to hard surfaces too well and the hard surface on sticks like $#\+ to carpets and is a night mate to remove. Your idea may well have been an expert idea but you had carpet roll and stroll instead of the other. Great vid as always dude.
Looking really good especially after all the verticuting. I'm verticuting my lawn next week for the first time next week. Is it best to go in crossing directions? I always do that on the older back lawn as it cuts any grass laying down.
Should I be avoiding any of your liquid products on newly seeded areas? I mean when the seed has developed over about 6 weeks and been mown. I had a bad experience when the newly grown plants died off.
@@wormreader4469 onlynprob with top dressing rhis time if year is that it holds water so can be troublesome on lawns with poor drainage but h2go and drainage in a bag will help keep water off the surface
Great video as usual, so I've got a bit confused with the leaving the grass seeds fluffy. They don't need good soil-seed contact presumably needing a bit of compaction to obtain that contact? Not top dressing either? Thanks in advance
