Had a blast composing this solo, has anyone else had a go at this as well?

I always found it hard to learn solos off records, and even bits of random interest I found in tapes of jams of my own actual playing, I find it almost impossible to learn it, as if it comes from a random stranger. I can't learn two parts of anything without quickly expanding and digressing in my playing, so I find it hard not to be totally original, even if it doesn't sound that great . Now if I can only manage to learn three quaters of anything I could make a more balanced item but still have some honest improvisational input, to prevent being bored to death and hating the song, the solo, and the guitar for playing me instead of the other way around! Some good insights here, thanks. Nice musical phrasing on your solo.

That was an awesome solo mate! Damn, I never knew how bloody talented you are! Great explanation of the breakdown of your solo too! To me it had some David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) vibes to it! And that amp tone was perfect 🤘🤘

Thats so funny, I immediately thought of Opeth for that last bit too, haven't listened to them since I was a teenager, I was obsessed with them for a while in the early 2000's Blackwater Park was the bomb! Awesome playing by the way Waylon!
