bought the schemAtic, is there a parts list somewhere, off the the components I got 5 of those lm386 chips
I bought it too. A parts list would be great!
Bloody brilliant. Suddenly I fancy a pint.
Built it! Great little pedal! Works a treat and sounds amazing! Thx for the inspiration.
Great video! MY wife is leaving me
I’m interested in playing with this design, I have built quite a few different overdrive pedals using lm386 chips and definitely love the range of sound possible with them. Thanks for sharing this with the diy family!
You fkin rule, man!! My go to channel for diy fun stuff like that rotary cap switcher. I've made a few of these little pcb fuzz pedals, and they can really get dirty. Nicely done 🤘🤙🖖
Very cool I have been turning these into pedals myself for a while now but I go for a more fuzzy sound but maybe I should try your way I know my subs would like that haha 😅
Awesome pedal!
If this were released as “the newest (insert name brand here)” and all the UA-camrs did a review this would be a $299 pedal.
Totally agree. It sounds awesome and looks it too
I've built a ton of pedals using discreet components. I usually steer away from SMD/IC builds but this one is interesting. I've ordered the boards so I can hear what this can do.
Very pretty guitar. I love wood look.
Thank you! Cheers!
HI Wayne..Great pedal...I myself like the Distortion tone..you do some amazing stuff..Thanks...Dave
Thanks Dave!
🤯🤯 sounds great! I bought this bbe2150 pcb at Aliexpress in order to clone the BBE Sonic Stomp Maximizer but I got lost from the very start
Great pedal, I appreciate your content. Many interesting projects and tips.
7:56 oh man that sounds right there!!!!!!
That's awesome Waylon, thanks so much for sharing this!!
Edit
Enjoy the coffee my friend
Killer soloing there Waylon. Love your sounds, and I'll definitely be building this pedal.
Kia ora my friend. Appreciate you sharing all these projects. I'm going to run out of space on my pedal board!
Wow thats quite impressive 👌
just amazing playing!!
Thanks!
Mind blown 🤯
That really sounds great. One of few channels I look forward to any new video. Thanks for all you do bro! Cheers
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
Sounds amazing
Thanks!
Sounds great! Is that a DIY telecaster as well? 🤔
Fantastic creativity & you play great too!
Thank you!
Youre the best diy guitar yt channel❤
WOW - i dig the MUSIC!
Thanks!
Super cool! I just purchased the schematic, but what I'm curious about is what pots you used. A parts list with the schematic would be awesome! Thanks!
Thanks :) I used Alpha, any pots will do as long as the value and taper is the same, cheers!

I'm getting a decent distortion sound out of my build, but my presence and drive don't do anything. I feel that with my limited experience with schematics, I have missed something.
Wow! This little box sounds great! I could not find this overdrive on your website. Do you send your pedals to Germany?
Thanks! No sorry, we are not selling this pedal, just the schematic, cheers!
OK, no problem. But this overdrive is just great!
Just bought your schematic - a partlist would be convenient
I have one on my Fourthwall site

Thanks for the video. I have been building pedals for 4 years and I have found it is cheaper to buy pedals. I am in Australia and to build a pedal Costa around 40$.
I have bought new pedals from 16$. (10$US)
What? Im in Australia. Would you like to explain where you are finding these quality pedals for $16?
Also the cheapest you can make it is not $40
@@louispconstant6624 I am buying pedals through Ali Express. Unbranded ones are 16$ to 30, with doubt pedals starting at 40$
@@louispconstant6624 I just bought the Wooly Mamoth fuzz factory clone for 65$.
@@louispconstant6624Aliexpress probably. He is right tho, a mass produced pedal is always gonna be cheaper also the components are all already made in china either way.
Awesome. Is that possible to make a mini amp with that little board?
Yes, absolutely :)
Pedal built and sounds amazing! Was wondering if changing the 1Meg resistor to a 750k would give a little more output volume?
Thanks, yes it would but it would also alter the Presence control a little as well, cheers!
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar yea I figured using a 750k would alter the presence control which I like the way it is. Any suggestions for getting a touch more output level that won’t alter the sound? I guess a B100k instead of the stock A109k output pot would only give a perceived volume boost not an actual increase in level
Anyonne having idea why my unit produces high pitched tone (12kHz) when drive knob is all the way up or cable is unplugged from guitar?
Doesn't the Lovepedal Purple Plexi use a LM386?
Yes, loads of pedals use an LM386, cheers :)
Sounds killer man, I’m just ordered the PCB’s … does the schematic come with a wiring diagram?
Thanks so much!, The schematic does not have a wiring diagram but when you get used to working with a schematic I find it 100% the easiest way to build, cheers!
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar I too would love a wiring diagram to go with this. I'm not quite making sense of the schematic yet.
wiring diagramm would be great....
@@ranxer0n954 you can do it with a multimeter, the schematic and the video, go for it

I just got all my parts, but I am a bit confused. Your schematic for the bypass switch doesn't seem to match what I see in the video. I just need some clarification. If I'm right, when looking at the bottom of the switch, I had to flip the diagram and then turn it 90 degrees counter-clockwise. The diagram must have been a top view with the switch laid horizontal instead of vertical right?

Wow I have just downloaded the schematic, but where can I get the footpedal box to house all the components in ?
Thanks, most electronic stores should have the parts you need, you can also try Mouser.com, Tayda.com is great also :)
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar thanks 🙏
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar sorry just one more question, in the schematic it shows the pots as being 100KA and 1MA do you mean 100 Kilo Ohms and 1 Meg Ohm ?
Hi, Yes they are written correctly, the A is the taper so 100KA is a 100 Kilo Ohms Audio Taper and 1MA is a 1 Meg Ohms Audio Taper, cheers!
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar awesome thanks 🙏
this is a great sound. would you be interested in making a noob video i almost understand whats going on but its hard to follow
or is there a patreon that explains this better
That's something I will definitely be looking at doing in the future for sure :)

I already had a few of these pcbs in a couple of the stereo ones as well that I was going to build into something like pedals. Glad you went ahead of me. I bought your schematics to see how you did it or the AI did it. With your tweaks I will build it on a breadboard first see what I like. I had tried to build this PCB into a guitar to act as a preamp for humbuckers when you split them into a single coil but I had anomalies with the power line and the common ground for battery and signal. If only there was a push pull switch with four sets of contacts instead of three I could have made it work I could have worked around it with a toggle switch but I did not want to add an extra thing to do to get what you're looking for once you go into single coil by the push pull. On a stride it would have been okay to add a toggle switch and do the split with the toggle and the separate the battery supplies from the signal grounds.
Anyways keep putting out the good stuff I always liked the stimulation
what is the value of the resistor that goes in the out put? thanks
it's a 1M, cheers!
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar thanks for response, but the resistance between the module and the pot is 1M? Thanks
@@diegovazquezkm100 Yes, correct between the circuit board and Presence control, cheers!

Love it, great sounding pedal!
But unfortunately the build instructions lack a lot of detail, so as a beginner this is really tough to follow and figure out how exactly to build this.
Also please show the entire signal chain when demoing a pedal, in particular for dirt. Hard to gauge how this would sound with one’s own setup.

This sounds really nice. Not really like an overdrive pedal. Sounds more like an overdriven amp to me.
Why do you think they call them overdrive pedals?
HEYOOO
i will stick with my naga viper , ep boost , hyped boost , cot 50 , zvex sho . i am not a fan of the lm386 .
Fair enough :)
Stack to and drone homie
If by that you mean "Great Video" then thanks :)
@@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar I did my friend!! Small screen, fat fingers, and a southern slur… stack TWO my friend, and drone - daisy chain two of these into a single enclosure and hear that bad boy cranked! Thank you for patiently asking hahaha,
Too bad there are no possibilities of any type of delivery out here. Even amazon has abandoned us.
Next time demo the pedal by itself without all the reverb please.
No thanks :)
50c pcb...40 bucks in rest of parts....just buy the pedal! Ridiculous...
You can't buy the pedal you can only build it, also $40 for the rest of the parts, where are you shopping?
@WaylonMcPhersonGuitar can you supply a parts list, please? I got the schematic. Thanks
anyway a good "new" pedal is going to cost a lot more than $40.50 for sure + with this you are learning and on your way customizing your own tones
Sounds amazing
Thanks!
