Also, I am missing a nut for the screw that attaches the lid to the body. Nice unit, the assembly would be much easier if the screws could fit in the holes provided.

That said, after a little head scratching and about a dozen different attempts to figure out how the long metal locking rod fit, we do it done and are happy with the end result.
Thank you for the feedback! We do list all hardware used on the right side of the step that is being performed. Our videos are based of the instruction manual so it is recommended to have that available while assembling with this video. In the manual, at the beginning of each section, you will see the hardware used as well and what bag it is needed. If your confused on which hardware is what, you can hold the actual hardware to the manual because the pictures are designed to be the same size of the actual hardware unless labeled otherwise.
Is there some kind of trick to get the front and back to slide to lock. Mine will not slide in place at all. Almost seems like the tabs are a hair short.
@Lifetime Products: The one I got from Costco today has screws quite larger than the holes in the hinges. Although it clearly mentions it in the instructions about it, I still couldn't get the screw inside the hinge hole even with a drill. Any thoughts on how to address the problem? I can try drilling a larger hole or may be buy a smaller screw.
It may be easier to use a socket and a wrench to give the screw a head start. The long bar that holds the latch to lock the lid absolutely didn’t match the holes and some persuasion was needed. Now I know why they tell you a hammer is needed.
The Lid doesn't fit and I'm not the only one with the problem. The lid is too short to where one/both side walls/front corner doesn't fit inside. I built this perfectly with zero gaps in the walls during screw in. MFR defect. Costco. No wonder it's only $99. Bonus points for Customer Service not accepting phone calls because they're busy. Likely fielding calls from people with lids that won't go down properly.
Not easy to assemble. Nothing fits well, no pre drilled holes. What part of assembling furniture do you need to do a step called "you may need to bend the metal" to make it fit. Just design it correctly in the first place... i feel like a lot of these reviews are fake. Good unit but be prepared for frustration with assembly. Easy fixes for design team.
horrible product. No pre drilled holes and the plastic that holds the hinges barely fits the screw. You could’ve put like a ml more of plastic to raise that spot up.
What a joke. Have just assembled this unit. Very misleading video. It is not easy to assemble. The guy on the instructions must have pre drilled all the holes & done significant work before starting in order for it to ho together so easily. Just design it better or don't sell it as if it's a 5 min job.

Bought this from Costco, no instruction manual in packaging. Saw this video to assemble, very bad Engineering and video many times doesn’t show or say the orientation of objects . Different sizes of screw and bolt. Need to keep different sets of pliers/wrench .
That shouldn’t be the case. I recommend contacting our customer service team and sending pictures of your product to see the hardware you received and see how we could’ve helped made this a better experience for you. Can someone tell me if the left and right hinges are supposed to be the same (mine are). It seems that they should be different so they can both be flush with the box.
Thanks
Tom
They are the same hinges. The trick is to turn the hinge that you haven’t assembled yet upright so you can get that flushed fit. I wrote instructions for over 25 years for my company that sold products all over the world. I would love to give your writer some basic facts. Extremely poor information on hinges.
Thank you for your input. We are looking into issues for the hinge assembly to better help the customers.
@@LifetimeProductsAssembly Thanks to the "hinge issues" my lid does not close completely. And thanks to the way it closed on first try, I have three bandages on one of my fingers and blood all over the place. Not a good Monday afternoon. When I spoke with customer service she was not sure how to answer this question. "WHAT IS THE LEFT AND RIGHT OF THE BOX? Standing in front or rear of the box? She thought "standing in front". Nowhere is that mentioned.
Holes do not line up so get ready to drill your own
Take me 1 hour and half to assemble . Thought it is going to be 10 minutes. Like the product, but be prepared to use some force and make sure you wear your gloves.
The assembly of this box is horrific.. steps are easy to understand but absolutely a dismal time doing the simple things. Nothing fits

Haha, great catch!
Absolutely crap, nothing lines up buyer beware.
This thing should have came with a tool for the nuts. Paid over 200 bucks for this thing and still gotta get tools. Very disappointed.
What a joke. Have just assembled this unit. Very misleading video. It is not easy to assemble. The guy on the instructions must have pre drilled all the holes & done significant work before starting in order for it to ho together so easily. Just design it better or don't sell it as if it's a 5 min job.
Do not buy any lifetime products super cheap plastic and directions are horrible
