I freaking love how Rin can sketch 10 drawings in 0.1 second and still wants to draw more, while I take 2 hours for one sketch and call it a day. 👌🏼😂🤣

You may be too heavy handed for the thinner microns. You have to be really careful and light hanged with them. I’ve had them last months. The thinner the point the more sensitive to damage, you need to be really careful with them. Also for the needed eraser buy more than you think you need so they last a while. When you open the second to last one buy in person or order more online a.s.a.p. So you never run out again. Even consider putting a note on the fridge or elsewhere that you would see a lot reminding you to get more kneeled erasers a.s.a.p! I too have run out before!she is a cute alien/fairy princess, good job with a character design. Nice opening and using art supply challenge, keep up the great videos.
Yeah, I've lent thin microns to people to just write things down and when they gave it back it was broken. :( You have to be super-gentle.

As I go through your video catalog I am so amazed at how you continue to work through the creative process, I know you might think it is condescending but I do not feel that in the least! I have been at this art journey “thing” for so many years, I would love to give you encouragement to simply keep at it and never let ANYONE discourage you keep drawing, drawing, drawing! Honestly, watching artists hash out ideas and make tons of sketches experimenting is so fun and relaxing. I often learn more watching artists exercise their creativity than when they get to the rendering lol. Loved the video!

My friend has a few markers from the colourless blender's brand, and they are HORRIBLE. After drawing ONE LINE with them (the brush tip), they start falling apart and bending and become unusable. Would not reccommend.
Also the older ones start growing stuff on them

You can't create a original character that isn't inspired by anything else because every picture you see and every sound you hear impacts your drawings you create a character using things to know and mixing them up

i have an imagination and dream of things im pretty sure there are other people like me that = original ideas ofc ppl can be stuck in their own mindset and think it's impossible... those ppl are the reason there are very few new movies or cartoons keep creating original ideas and characters your awesome!
OC didn't say you can't create original content. They said everything you create is inspired by something else you've experienced.

Ah those satan - I mean, #coloring markers. I hate them with a passion lmao. To be fair, they are super super cheap in stores - £9 for 5 markers, so like £1.80 for one - and the ink is super nice, but those *Brushnibs...* I can't stand them. Ik they're more expensive to manifacture, so I guess that's why the pens are so cheap? It's like,,, idk a felt tip pen you get in schools? they get fuzzy after like one use regardless of how lightly you press, which makes them useless. Rant over haha, I loved the character design tho!
Thumbelina was my happy place as a kid. I still have the VHS for sentimental value and HBO has it playing on the family channels pretty regularly.
She turned out so pretty. I liked seeing you go out of your comfort zone with the original fairy thing. Watching the entire process of a character design was super fun! And this format is fitting for it, since you have some limits (mostly in the colour palette) imposed on you as starting "prompt". I'd like to see more character designs!
Also, as someone who's designed a lot of characters: don't fret too much about originality. Your influences will nearly always show up in your art in one way or another. It's part of an artist's unique take on things. As long as you're not outright copying, you're probably fine.

Once in Elementary school I was sick and stayed home and I watched Thumbelina all day long. As soon as my vhs ended I would rewind it and watch it again. And my favorite song was the "Once there was the sun.." song that she sang for the mole. Short and sad, but sweet.
