I found Joe Hisaishi's "Inochi no Namae" through youtube PMs! I thought it was very catchy. I mean, the piece doesn't stray far from the key, but it's still a very catchy melody!

Sure it sounds ok, but when you play it live it is just amazing, the chors, the harmony! I'm so glad I've learned to play it because it sounds so much better live.

So many people played this song and it's always the same but you've made a totally different Version of this. Somehow it's the same but so much better. So magically brilliant. Normal pianists can play a song identically without fails, but real pianists change songs with their own special note to make this better and more heart-touching, like you kyle. >.

Today was my examination, essay writing. One of the question was titled "Music". I remember writing: "Listen to the piece, and listen to the story the composer wants to convey. If the two stories are the same, even if the piece is played with flaws, it is still a good piece." I can hear the story in your playing despite being played with flaws. I remember when I first saw this in elementary school and I LOVED it so much I almost came visit this video everyday. Then slowly, I stopped coming by, and I thought I wouldn't see it ever again.
But I'm so glad I found this vid again after all these years. I can't believe it's still up as most of the vids I watched from back then was gone or deleted or something. This cover really pushed me to aim better in piano back then, and it was so inspiring. It is still, now. And I thank you that you had covered such an amazing piece with such awesome skills and playing. Thank you for not taking it down after all these years. I hope UA-cam doesn't delete old videos out of no reason, 'cause this is definitely one of those gold that you shouldn't throw away, no matter how long it is.

Fantastic, as always. Joe Hisaishi really is amazing, I've only seen Spirited Away once but I still remember this tune.
The way you improvise on all your covers is mind-boggling. I admire the variations that you do with your left hand and the expressions that you create after each pause. Simple and beautiful man :)

One summer's day and Name of life, they're two different songs :P
They have the same theme but are pretty different.
"One Summer's day" is the music we can hear several times in the movie (at the very beginning for example), and "The Name of Life" is a song with lyrics (still composed by Joe Hisaishi), see the live performance in Budokan
