- Eugene's Pizza has been in the Knodel family since Arlie and Mary Sue Knodel purchased the business from Eugene E. Barger in 1967.
The family owned establishment is located in Glasgow, along a stretch of highway and railroad known as the Hi-Line. Arlie and Mary Sue Knodel purchased Eugene's Pizza after two days of consideration and opened the doors with forty dollars to their name.
In 1992, Arlie and Mary Sue sold Eugene's Pizza to their sons, Jeff and Sam Knodel. Jeff and Sam continue to operate Eugene's Pizza with the same high level of commitment that Arlie and Mary Sue established throughout their tenure.
In 2015, Eugene’s was named the Best Pizza in Montana after more than 30,000 votes were cast. Eugene’s would win the title again in 2016 and has received numerous other recognitions and accolades over the course of fifty five years in business.
The secret, they say, is in their barbecue sauce which like their pizza sauce recipe hasn’t changed in fifty-five years.
Co-Owners Sam and Jeff Knodel are willing to go to great lengths to make sure their fans are satisfied.

So happy my childhood pizza place is gaining traction. Best pizza ive ever tasted
I grew up in Glasgow. In 1962, we had no idea what pizza was. I went to Eugene's Pizza with a high school friend shortly after they first opened. The first time we pulled up a piece of sizzling hot pepperoni pizza and saw the tail of gooey stringy cheese, we giggled our heads off. It tasted great. I just took my wife of 45 years there in June of 2022, and sat at that very same table. The place was completely jammed with customers from a high school reunion, and I swear the pizza tasted just as wonderful as the first time. Just like in this video, those "Knodel Kids" were really scrambling to serve their customers the very best pizza they could create. And yes, they do still toss the pizza dough high in the air.

I've eaten there, back in 2012, when I visited my brother in Glasgow. I remember thinking that the pizza was cut strangely.
