Thanks pal, you've saved a guy some money there. I know what I'm doing tomorrow 👍🏻
Cheers buddy. Much appreciated.
I will add something that I didn't feature in the video. Before you fit the discs, just give them a spray with break cleaner first and wipe the surfaces. The discs come packaged with a fine film of oil sprayed on them, to stop them rusting in storage. The brake cleaner will get rid of it once it's wiped off. 👍
Keep me posted on how you get on buddy. Thanks again. 👍
Sutton Auto Factors should sponsor you! 🤣
That's a great idea! 🤣
I was waiting for that first caliper bolt to snap 😅
Haha. That would have just been my luck if it did. 🤣
Just a few points the rust on the hub needed cleaning the rust can jack out the wheel slightly and in time make it loose it’s easy enough with a wire brush on a drill also the pad carriers were rusty as well and those pads need to move sideways you actually had to hammer them in😂 the new disc has a film of oil on it which you didn’t clean off I wouldn’t want you doing my brakes at all this is exactly the opposite of a good brake job,but at least you put yourself out there and make the vids,no doubt you’ll delete this 😂
Cheers Rich. It's cool mate. Not going to delete your comment. I'm always up for constructive critisism. Yeah, the car has some parts with rust on them, but they weren't rotten, so I just left them. I probably ought to have given them a bit of spit and polish. I've had a few people who have mentioned about the oil film on the discs also, so I'll certainly remember these bits in future. I'm by no means a qualified mechanic. Just a regular guy trying basic tasks on his heaps of poo. Hopefully with more practice under my belt, I'll convince you to let me attack yours with my spanners! 🤣

Thats not gona work if toy must use hammer to put brake pads
To be fair, I only used the hammer to make light taps for adjustment, rather than full-blown whacks. I just wanted them to be seated correctly before putting everything back. I can safely say they work perfectly fine and have been for several months now. 😉
