A refreshing and positive video matey! So good to see your attitude, just get out there and experience all types of weather. Wet boots, socks etc are only temporary experiences. It makes you appreciate the good days even more. I always think to myself when I'm getting drenched that I'm fortunate to be experiencing it, and end up embracing the experience and thoroughly enjoying it. There's so many people who would love to have the opportunity, but for different reasons are unable to do so. I consider myself lucky that I will get through it. Carry on with what you're doing, it will inspire people! Take care, Simon, Somerset.
Thankyou Simon for watching, and yes, I do feel privileged to be able bodied enough to get out into our wonderful English Countryside. If it inspires a few people to take that little step, to get out there, then I am happy!
Yeah Dave it was brave indeed to look after me Mum, she don't af pack a wallop, when I'm on her wrong side 🤣🤣🤣🤣(which is often lol). Don't know about brave (me a bornagaincoward lol), but a most enjoyable experience. Looking forward to watching your next adventure!
It most certainly was a most excellent adventure. I don't know about hardcore, lol, the weather was not that bad! As for Storm Babet, I was somewhat disappointed, expected more from it! Love to share my adventures, can't wait to see you next adventure!
Great video and such an inspiration. It can be so much harder creating a UA-cam video in that weather, but you keep positive and just enjoy no matter what mother nature throws at you get on you. Really enjoyed this video keep them going 👍
Ah thankyou Darren, it took me from 8.30am to around 8pm to complete editing yesterday lol. Had to rush because I'm off to Heathrow airport today and wanted video up. It was a great adventure I must admit. Just under 5 hours to get to Torquay from South Yorkshire and on Friday it took just under 12 hours to get back because of motorway speed restrictions due to Storm Babet! All fun and games lol
Famous last words Steve, "There's no wind up here.", that was tempting fate lol.🙂 I always enjoy watching your videos, and this one didn't let me down mate. You captured some great scenery & weather there.👍
Lol It was indeed last famous words! Me wife thinks I may be of been in the eye of the needle for half an hour or more of the storm. One will never know, but it was indeed last famous words! Cheers Steve I always appreciate your comments! Will be waiting eagerly for your video of your latest adventure!
Just ordered an Abisko 1 Lite. Seems very flappy but very strong from what I have read. A little nervous about claustrophobia but that’s the trade off for having a compact tent.
Hi Hedley Great to see you order the Fjallraven Abisko lite 1. The many benefits of this tent is that you can pitch in places most wild campers cannot as the footprint is small. Being low profile it takes the wind favourably. Yes it is small, but you get used to it! Plus on an extreme cold night, it does not take long to warm up and retains the heat. So a plus again. Thankyou for commenting.
