I watch dozens of thrifting vids, but that makes your REALLLY desireable is the brisk verbal narration and the focused information you share along the way. I often get bored with others unnecessary comments and click away. You are a great picker and I am hooked. Like Laura's vids (who I watch religiously) I always learn something. Great Job!
As soon as you held up the glass heart, I said " Robert Held!" I visited his studio in Vancouver & enjoyed seeing the artisans create. I bought 2 hearts & a Cosmo glass. Then found another Held heart at my local antique flea market; they didn't know what they had!
I just sold the exact same two floral pics in the Italian brass frames in that same size for $70. Got at an estate sale for $8 and they sold in less than an hour of listing. I do love your videos. Learning a lot.
The fish sponge holder has so much personality. Good pick up. The white wicker bunny as a cotton ball holder would be cute. Paperweights are going up in cost. The blue heart is gorgeous. Love the strawberries.
That horse is so beautiful...and it looks like it is already sold. I love how you put the link to your featured items in your list of information. I am going to start doing that too. Great idea! Love watching how you style your items. I love brass also...and so glad that it's making a come back! All the best to you!
Fantastic haul! The studio pottery and the horse are fabulous. Sometimes it pays to leave your comfort zone! Loved that you followed the new cart with the pottery. 😂😂 I would have done the same!
And I love that your son was your good luck charm. I usually send my boys to the toy aisle, and they have so much fun. They ask for everything, of course. We now have a huge stuffed teddy bear I can't fit in my washer, so I need to visit the laundry mat. Take care.
Look forward to your videos, always! I have evolved with my own sourcing, and sometimes can justify spending a few bucks more on an item, since I have spent the fuel to get to that location - it averages out! I have also evolved as a seller and have learned that even if I love love love an item, I can just put it in my home and enjoy it while it is listed, and then replace it with an even more fab find to enjoy - it helps me not keep all the things that I find and love! You always have a great eye and loving both your booths! Busy lady!!!
The amber glass was there well past when you went shopping! Haha love the sponge holder! Those clear glasses are also France! Wow a whole new cart of pottery too. What a score.
The strawberry piece would be very popular in my hometown, Plant City, FL as we are known as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World! The end of February and beginning of March the town is focused on the Strawberry Festival 🍓
I can't get used to you using the word "patina" to refer to wood. I always thought it mostly described metals. I could be wrong. LOVE the studio pottery.
Try using some glass glue on the stopper. It minimizes the visual of the repair. It dries crystal clear. The weird teapot looking pottery is a watering can. The paperweight is very much in the style of Eikholt (not sure if I spelled it right) the artist, he could have been an apprentice. It's worth investigating.
Oh i would take every piece of pottery 😆 especially the wonky ones, those are my favourites! I think they have more soul. The mark on the horsehair pottery is just part of the unpredictable process, I like those too. I wish the Australian vintage market would appreciate pottery, its very under-valued here.
Hi Andi. I don't know if this is in "good taste," but I have a couple of questions for you. First, I love your channel and finds. I started thrifting four months ago, have an eBay account, and listed a few things on Etsy without much luck. How long did it take for you to start selling your items consistently, and does it help to have a UA-cam channel? Also, would you mind sharing your camera and lighting knowledge? I am finding this really difficult. Thank you.
How many items do you have listed on Etsy? It could be that you don't have enough items to really get much traffic. Yes, having a UA-cam channel and large social media following helps A LOT. I sell many items a week now and faster. For lighting, I usually just photograph stuff during the brightest part of the day. I'm blessed with a lot of light in my office. I know some people will use a ring light and a white background to get consistently good pics.
Your sound went out in between good wills, lol but I was good at reading what you were saying. You scored on everything again my friend!!!!!! I will have plenty of time to thrift after / as we will be their until April or longer. The big date is set I sent you a private message sigh - I must admit I’m scared very nervous 😳 ❤❤❤
Have you ever watched The Nurse Flipper? She once did a video on artisan paperweights to BOLO. I don’t remember if this guy was one on that video, but you might check it out.
Through the google app. When you download it, there is a camera icon next to the search bar that allows you to take a picture rather than type words to search.
I think she’s correct on sponge holder. I bought a similar one directly from the artist and that’s what it was made as. But could have many purposes! Coasters, letters, napkins…
I bring my 5yr old son pretty often. I make sure I've got a few snacks on hand and tell him he can pick out 1 thing under a certain $ amount. Occasionally he gets bored and cranky, but usually he's pretty great! Sometimes he asks when we can go again!😊
@@nathanortiz3671 Thanks for the ideas! I'm gaining confidence more and more now. Snacks are always important!! 💯 Also giving them a little treasure hunt of their own... So great!
I usually just shift his screentime for the day to when we're out thrifting. That way there are no interruptions while I film. Otherwise he would talk my ear off and want to buy EVERYTHING. :)
Seems like all the Goodwills in your state are in the same archictural style with the tile frontage. That must have cost a bundle for them in building costs. Here in the northeast, Goodwills are in rented spaces, each one being different from the others … storefronts, warehouses, commercial spaces, and vintage factories. No two look alike. … Just sharing! I think the prices are higher in your state due to the cost of building their stores???.
The lead strips I have actually look like Q-tips. I bought the package off Amazon. The directions and ease to use them is great. It saved me from trying to sell a set of goblets because the test detected it. I could have listed them and said “for decor only” but my daughter told me there were too many books and shows using goblets and she was afraid a child would think it was great to drink out of them. So, in the trash they went because I was not risking it.
Do you break a lot of stuff? Love your style… you have a great eye, but You are super rough on stuff. Makes me cringe when I watch your videos. Maybe get a clip on camera so you can use both hands. Idk. not being mean… just an observation.
@@TheNICHELadyNiche Lady! What are you doing in this comments section! Get back to work! 😆 Andi is awesome. I don't blame you. And yeah, we do cringe.
Haha the audio makes it sound so much worse. I promise nothing is harmed in the making of these videos. ;) Sometimes I will move things around to make sure the pulling of the item is safer.

Me too!! I love you and Laura❤
At 6.50, outside, the sound went until 7.19 but I still got the gist. What an amazing amount of lovely studio pottery.
Ok just had the same thing!! Glad it’s not me!
That grouping of studio pottery that you put in your booth is def my favorite-stunning
Thank you!

I'm definitely on the hunt for his pieces now! They are so beautiful.
the horse and strawberries!!
Love the strawberry ceramic made in Italy piece! You found some amazing treasures!
The glass heart is beautiful. Usually hearts don’t do it for me but the colour was so vibrant.
Same! Not a heart person either, but it was so pretty I had to pick it up.
I just sold the exact same two floral pics in the Italian brass frames in that same size for $70. Got at an estate sale for $8 and they sold in less than an hour of listing. I do love your videos. Learning a lot.
Wow that is an amazing flip!

Holy cow!!!! What a haul!! You got SO many amazing treasures! It was a joy to watch! :D

It definitely does! New carts are so exciting - I always go through them first!
Great haul, Andi! I’m glad you bought that horse, it looks really special. And the strawberry wall decor, how adooorable! 😍

Ohh yeah, my son goes crazy in the toy aisle. It's very dangerous.
That fish is everything! I will be watching your shop for him!
It would be so cute for a catch all
I just listed it. Although I really want to keep it... haha

The ceramics and the paperweight! 😍🤩✌️🇬🇧
Great score on the pottery!!

That is my dream- to find all that pottery!
I still can't believe it!
With your fish themed kitchen area, I think the fish sponge holder would give the perfect whimsy.
You're so right! It's funny how my fish theme just happened out of nowhere. lol

That piece sold so fast and I already miss it! Where I grew up it was all about apples and cider mills.
Absolutely loved everything. I was hoping you'd get the MCM barware. Thr 3 sets were beautiful.
I kinda regret leaving them behind!
The heart glass is Robert Held Art Glass. What a great find!
Thanks for the info!

Hi Andi❤🌸The cup of gratitude mug was from z pots studio! There’s some value to it. I sell mine (when I find them) for $25-$30
Good to know!! Next time I will grab it! Thanks for the tip!
Art and utilitarian pottery are great !
The cat tile you should have bought😮 15 dollars for that horse is cheap!
That ceramic cat tile thing was sooo cute! 🥹

He had a studio in Canada.

How do you look things up? I am so technologically challenged😉
Through the google app. When you download it, there is a camera icon next to the search bar that allows you to take a picture rather than type words to search.
No, please keep the pot with the horse hair!
I think the blue pottery 'cup' with the cutout sides is actually a set of coasters holder.
I think she’s correct on sponge holder. I bought a similar one directly from the artist and that’s what it was made as. But could have many purposes! Coasters, letters, napkins…
Yes that is horse hair poterry, usually us horse girls have them made when we have lost a horse

Yeah our Goodwills are definitely all managed by the same regional organization and are very expensive. Drives me crazy!
How do you use the test strip for lead?
