Bloody great looking swag thank you for the review, it does prove that you get what you pay for, you and the family stay safe 👍.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. Safe travels too
Great review mate I just got the bandit 900 and put on the husky stretcher so comfortable, the 23 zero black Alaska sleeping bag also is a beauty I did a review on sleeping bag, happy camping 👍
Thanks mate. Can’t wait to actually get out camping, stuck in lockdown at the moment has made it a bit hard.
Will check the sleeping bag review.
@@bazradventures yeah lockdows a bit of pain hopefully over soon and can get back out there I'll check out your other vids 👍
Yeah, awesome swag! Bought one last week. Can’t wait to take it to the bush this winter! Cheers from outback WA!
Thanks for watching and happy camping
Found this also reduces condensation under the swag as well even out slightly stoney surfaces and small undulations
Excellent review. I had been looking only at tents but after seeing some swags with higher ceilings on the weekend together with your review I'm definitely doing myself a disservice not considering swags
Thanks for watching. Quick and easy setup. Well worth consideration.
Great vid, I bought a bandit 900 unfortunately 2 poles broke after 8 days of camping. We had tons of rain and no leak.
Thanks for watching. Which poles broke? We’re they easy to replace? Cheers
Good review mate, I’m in the market for a swag and this one is looking good.
Thanks Lucas, glad you liked it. Good value for money.
Just bought the 1550. Darche own this name hence the great product. If it states pre seasoned that means do it again 3 more times they tell you that. This will last through anything. great product. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks mate. I will seasoning it when the weather gets better in Melbourne. Given our lockdowns, can’t really go anywhere at the moment anyway. Happy camping
Sorry @Beera Gone Where - DARCHE does not own 23 Zero.
2 key former designers @ Darche left and formed their own new company - 23Zero, hence the similarities.
Awesome video mate!!! I bought the same swag myself after lots of research. Just subscribed to your channel
Thanks Simon. Glad you enjoyed. Hoping to put it into use soon.
Thanks for the subscribe also, much appreciated. Some videos coming soon.
Hi Bazr, I have a similar swag with 70mm foam mattress and for additional comfort I use six of those interlocking square foam sheets under the swag and on top of a Cgear ground sheet,
Hi, thanks for watching. Since I posted this review, I have been using a mattress overlay for added comfort. It a cheap solution and rolls up with the swag. Happy camping
Wasn't for its excellent audio pickup qualities obviously! All kidding aside, good review dude!
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it
Brought the kings cause I’m on a budget but great review buddy😎
Thanks for watching. At the end of the day, as long as you’re getting out there, doesn’t really matter. Enjoy
the only thing missing is being able to have a zipped roof on top for a sky star views at night to fall asleep to. if ya design one go ya halves in the profits bruzz lol
Thanks for watching. Great idea.
Great review, cheers! Do the support pole clips/hooks have good quality material and stitching?
Thanks for watching, It is good material. No issues with them letting go anytime soon. Spent 5 days at Bathurst in the cold and wet and I was dry and toasty the whole time. Since the vid I have bought a double sleeping bag an also a mattress overlay, which was gold on the recent trip. All rolls up and fits in the bag too. Highly recommend them. Happy camping
Nice review mate. I made the mistake of getting the Oztent RS-1 and the condensation is horrific. Do you have any issues with condensation with this one? Also do you think it would go alright up on a stretcher?
Gday, thanks for watching. Opening up the end vents helps with condensation issue on the swag, air flow is key. 23Zero don’t do a stretcher for the 1400, but they do for the other smaller sizes. Simply to big for one.
They all condensate in the cold you need cross ventilation and there's some good rechargeable fan lights that are great to the air moving and condensation down.
@@donaldo1974 this is what I used in the end!
Leave the poles in the sleeves when u pack it up. Easier when setting it up again next time
Thanks for watching. Will give it a try. I don’t have a mattress topper and sleeping bag rolled up in it, so don’t think the poles would fit. Cheers
@@bazradventures will fit easily. Try it next time and you’ll see what I mean
Very nice mate. Is it easy to get in and out of? Given that the door is now half the size.
Hi, thanks for watching.
Haven’t had an issue. It’s wide enough that you can move around to get out easily. Depends how inflexible you are I guess. The smaller Bandits can be setup on a stretcher, which may make it easier.
@@bazradventures
Ah that makes sense. I didn't even think about the width of the swag. Thanks man.
Good vid mate. I’m looking for a new sleeping arrangement for the family. Thinking of buying 2 of these - 1 adult and 1 kid in each. What are your thoughts? Seems roomy and tough….?
Cheers mate. Yep you would be fine with 1 adult and 1 child in each swag. They extra space is handy if you need to keep you clothing and stuff away from the elements.
@@bazradventures thanks mate 👍🏼 beats a huge roof top tent I reckon.
@@traviswalker-restrepo yes it does, as you can store them anywhere when not is use. They are bulky, but I don’t mind that.
So no more kids lol 😆
Did you need a portable heater to stay warm when sleeping in colder temperatures?
Hi, thanks for watching. No heater required. It warm enough provided you have a good sleeping bag.
What topper did you end up going for the 1400 mate?
Haven’t got it yet, but have used the one from Kmart and works a treat on our blow up mattress, which is the family camping setup. I will likely get the same. Only about $30.
@@bazradventures Thanks. Just got my 1400 today. Cheers
@@russmoon8542 enjoy it mate. Can’t wait to be out of this restrictions in Melbourne to get out and give it a try
I'm pleasantly surprised that a man can sit fully upright! This is listed as 33.5 inches (85 centimeters) high on the 23Zero website. How tall are you?
I’m 180cm tall.
Why is there a head end and a foot end? Isn't the tent symmetrical?
Thanks for watching. The foot end slopes down slightly and compared to the head end that is higher. Cheers
@@bazradventures ahhh, okay, thanx. 👍
Did you consider either the Ironman 4 x 4 America Ridge Pole Swag Tent Double or the Darche Nebula 1550 Swag?
I did look at a couple of others at the time, but I liked the 23Zero as it came seam sealed and ready to go, no need for seasoning. Plus it had a big bag, which is great when you want to roll everything up with it.
@@bazradventures How has it held up over the past year?
Is there enough room in the carryall bag to leave your pillow and sleeping bag inside the tent when folded up?
@@patrickio8084 it’s held up well. I have a mattress overlay, sleeping bag (double) all rolled up. I don’t put the pillow in, more out of preference than fit.
What sold you on this swag over the 23zero 1550 Outbreak ?
Gday, didn’t need the opening at the top of the Outbreak and the middle pole of the Bandit will ensure no sagging. The price was the other deciding factor. Weighing it up against other brands (even the cheap ones) the Bandit was only a little bit extra. Thanks for watching and hope you decide on a swag that works for you.
Bought the Bandit 1400. It is an awesome bit of kit. Thanks for your review.
Mate you have had the swag for a while now any updates on likes and dislikes??
Thanks for watching. Due to the lock downs in Victoria, haven’t really had a chance to get out to use. In saying that it’s been handy for back yard camping. I did put in a overlay mattress to add a bit more comfort and it still rolls up and fits in the bag. The only thing that is a bit odd is the pockets at the feet end, but easily accessible via the other openings, so real big deal. Cheers
Have you sold it yet and upgraded to a Rainger?
Thanks for watching. No I haven't sold it. Very happy with it.
Hi, what height are you?
Gday mate, I’m 1.8mt.
23zero is better than Darche
Thanks for watching. There are major some differences in the two, hence I chose 23Zero. Happy camping
@@bazradventures A mate just sent back two brand new darche Ridgedomes he paid $600 each for because they both leaked, both were seasoned properly and tested last school holidays in the rain, ill give it to Darche tho they did send him two new ones with out much fuss but it will be interesting how the new ones go.
@bazradventures what are the differences? Cheers,
