Pro tip.. there's no need to completely remove the three poles. Just disconnect each side of the top middle section and fold the ends back over the top then roll up. Negates the need to sort out which pole is which at set-up and makes the process a lot faster in both directions.
Just got my 1400 Bandit. Slept in it the first time last night. Enjoyed the experience in 21*F temperatures. Easy to set up, but had difficulty getting the Swag rolled up and put up. Watched your video and picked on some pointers. Thanks for the tips and suggestions.
They are a great swag. I have the 1400 (review on my channel). Same quirkiness with inside pockets, can work out why they are at the feet end. The swag is huge, I roll mine up with a double sleeping, mattress overlay and of course the standard mattress and it fits in snuggly. The fact that it is seam sealed straight away without the need for seasoning is definitely a winner for me.
Ive seen your video on it. Really well done! Might be a dumb question but i see everyone conplains about the pockets on the foot end - what makes it a foot end specifically? The height looks like it may be a little lower than the other but i dont see why you cant just sleep with your head at that end lol.
@@micahpowers2614 thanks for watching. It’s the foot end as it is slightly lower head at that end. The pole that fits that end is also marked “Foot”. You could sleep with your head that, but it would be hard to sit up.
@@bazradventures that make sense i guess haha. It is a weird design choice. I ordered the dual 1100 for myself. Here in the US. Couldnt find anything else i really liked. Especially being a taller guy, most of tge long tents are uncomfortable due to the slope of the sidewalls and whatnot. Hopefully this works out well which i think it well. And the orice wasnt bad at all either.
I been looking at these swags, how has it held up so far? AS I have one of their normal ones that's 900wide and not much room for me and my dog as I'm thinking the 1100 be better with room. But i love how the bag is the same material as the swag and they don't cut corners to give you cheap bag.
One annoyance for me is that the mesh for the head and foot ends is on the inside and the canvas the outside. When I camp in summer and wanted to adjust the amount of air coming in midgees got in everywhere. On the originial photos of this swag listed on an online retailer they had mesh on outside but when I received mine they had changed the design. The conpany told me they contacted 23zero and they had changed the design during when they listed the product and the production run and then sent some new photos to replace the ones in the site. My old swag had mesh on outside and much preferable for me for when and where I generally camp, pros and cons for both i guess.
Hi! Nice review. I wonder why you say the head end is the head end and the foot end is the foot end… the swag seems completely symmetrical, so head and feet can be positioned in both sides. Thanks!
I prefer the Dual 900 as there is one less pole to insert (albeit a bit more sidewall intrusion) and both poles are the same length and hence idiot proof for quick set-up. The symmetrical design of the Dual 900 also allows I can decide which way to sleep (head to foot orientation) once I get inside the sway. I also prefer getting in and out of the larger opening. Finally, the Dual 900 offers 2 pockets at both ends of the swag. All good stuff here mate!!
The duo seems like it wouldn't take much wind to smush one of those side walls into your head or body. I'll pass on that, but this one really interests me.
I've got the bandit 900 and the dual 900. i prefer the dual set up on a stretcher as its easier to get in and out of and the new stainless polls hold the sides out , but the bandit is better made as I had some stitching issues with the dual. Great swags and their beddings great too.
@@VideoShowMeHow sorry mate but the Darche (and Oztent) stretchers are wobbly old school. I've been using an Oztrail jumbo for many years with my Darche Dirty Dee and it feels like it's welded together!
@VideoShowMeHow ok thank you. I'm convinced now that I'll get a 23zero bandit 1400. Was originally going to get a darche dirty dee 1400 but somehow I feel like the 23zero is a bit more premium but I'm not sure.
you forgot to mention the "shooters window" at the head end, that fly also unzips and you can access the swag from that end. Ive got the big 1400 it also has pockets at the feet but it does have 2 little hooks inside either end for lanterns.
ive just bought the Duke 1400 and I think they made have learned from the bandit as the pockets are moveable as it loops through some little plastic loops at either the top/bottom of the swag

You're welcome, enjoy
Thanks maté once again for video. I will definitely looking into one of these.

I reckon some pockets up a bit higher would be the go, the ones there are kinda almost under the mattress anyway

Yeah mate, agree re the bag! Yep still going strong, so good I got another one :)

Yeah was running a stretcher for a bit and have gone back to the ground, just had a bit too much wobble and dip
@@VideoShowMeHow have you tried the easy fold stretchers? They have zero wobble and no end pieces so a bit easier to set up
No I haven't, have to checkout, have only used on the darche ultra

Wobbly alright.. ok thanks for the tip will check em out 👍
Are these a better quality than the darche swag?
Did you have to season this or with its quality it’s already waterproof?
Nope they're pre seasoned 👍
Can you get a stretcher to fit the 1100
Yeah I run the 23zero husky with mine
How does it compare with the Darche 1100 dirty dee
Haven't had much experience with them but similar from what I've seen
Can two people sleep in this?
No, you'd be wanting the 1400 for 2x people

Def good quality gear 👌

Ah very cool, so they're able to go at the top now?
Whats with the gloves? 😂
whats the deal with the gloves
It's a channel thing ;)
Ha, that’s what I was wondering.
Surgical precision
@tr1p1ea 😂
Definitely need matching blue socks.
Surely a chest camera would make more sense.
Yep thought the same, played with a few different positions when working out the trip ready reviews, all you see with a chesty is arms and hands 😂
