Nicely explained video. After wash I leave the bike for an hour for the water in the chain to dry up. If in hurry I run the bike slowly for about a kilometer. This helps water to fall off and dry the chain too.

You use Kerosene to clean the chain. Lube is another thing, as some manufacturers do NOT recommend motor oil, but Ducati does.

Hey man new to the channel. Are you happy with DS? I just ordered a 2022 due to come in around February. I have had many bikes but never a Ducati. Have you thought about dropping down a tooth for the front sprocket for more torque? Or does the torque feel pretty good on the bike as is? Also where did you find the wind screen? Looking forward to more DS videos! Thnxs.

I get positive comments about my Ducati everywhere I go. People love this bike they know it. My body bought a new Kawasaki and nobody talks about his bike they always come to the Ducati desert sled the kids like it grown ups like it it's a bit of a celebrity. And I like driving it too it's awesome

Torque is pretty solid as is, and I honestly love the Ducati. The only complaint I've heard from some people is the servicing every 7500 miles

Great channel and content. Wanted to ask your opinion on the Desert Sled being good for a beginner? I'm debating between the Triumph Scrambler or Desert Sled. It'll be mostly for every day commuting to work and home, roughly 24 miles with the occasional weekend fire road camping. I'm pretty competent and mature, so no idiotic wreckless behavior coming from me. Thanks!

Thanks! Overall it's a pretty easy bike to get a feel of and even though it's 800cc it feels like a small bike. I've been doing a lot of commuting on mine and it's not that bad, definitely much more adapt to dirt roads than the highway (though it keeps up just fine - I just recommend getting a fly screen to save your chest from the wind). But I really enjoy the bike and it's impressed me non stop since getting it. You can probably find a used one with low miles for a good price. Bought my 2017 DS for $7,000 with 1400 miles

@@CatchHellMoto Thanks so much brother, I appreciate the advice. I really l like the DS since it's such a hybrid on and off road. Plus, I believe it will be more than enough for what I'm wanting in a bike, especially for my first one. Thanks

You might want to sell that and get a MG V85TT w/shaft drive, prolly more up your ally...
