Its 2024 and devs still think that they can stealth nerf anything without people noticing. In a post Smash 4 era, people have proven to be professional digital archeologists without fail.

Tbh this was probably more of a fix, as since release these mag mods had wonky pickup rates. Still wish it was a visable stat/patchnotes would show more changes.
There are spreadsheets/data that have been posted over on Reddit and other forums about pick up rates. It's a consistent bullet amount but it's different per weapon. Hence the outrage for the sneaky nerf
They can pull up the scummy strat to drop a DLC weapon pack and after updates gets shadow nerfed.
I expect the LMG is to get overdhadowed by DLC weapon knowing that they will drop at the same time.
The ignite animations which arent ingame are in the game files. I dont understand how things are delivered because the animation is clesrly finished even I tested it.
I feel like shit daranining but i know it will keep informed.
I have problem with modifiers that half of it doesnt feel like well thought such as the hostage one because it forces you to bring manipulayor skills or the AP that makes fortitude a must have.
It was the same cycle in 2014-2017 Payday 2 where they'd release DLC that was great and then nerf it a few weeks later. It was gross there too but at least people knew it happened
I noticed the war wasn't holding up well on cook off, honestly kinda felt like the damage was nerfed too but that might just be due to the cutting shot nerf.
That appears to be it. From what we can tell the only nerfs were for the ammo types
At this point i feel like having paid weapons is a terrible idea. if at any point one of these weapons get a change or comes out too strong or too weak, it's gonna cause a shit storm, and rightfully so. Why the hell are we locking any sort of gameplay effecting mechanics behind a paywall? Heists and cosmetics i get, but anything else will just cause this problem to happen again and again.
I'm not inherently opposed to paid or DLC weapons. They just need to be up front about changes and why. I think the best way to do weapon DLC is have them be side-grades and not just straight up better than the defaults, though

That's correct. The issue is that these weapons are now borderline un-useable, and that nobody was told. There's a right way and a wrong way to nerf things and this one was bungled
I noticed I was running out of ammo a lot more often, I guess I’m glad they didn’t nerf the weapon itself but it still makes the weapons much less sustainable

@@RustyChains I'm not sure I agree they're now borderline un-useable. I'm not for the changes particularly, but all 3 weapons are still solid. I feel like this is the sort of situation where we as partners should bring it up highlighting it as an issue, not drive speculation on the purpose of shadow nerfs.

I definitely noticed this nerf on the paid auto shotgun. I was playing on Cook-Off and I was unable to keep using my auto shotgun as a primary, as ammo was not sustainable. I found myself being forced to switch to my secondary much more and scampering around to try pick up ammo. And I have the ammo funnel skill selected. Its super noticeable. For Starbreeze not to tell us about this is lame and unacceptable. So the skill to recover ammo automatically on this skill line is now useless? Super unhappy about this...
It's disappointing just how often Starbreeze can really do "one step forward, 2 steps backwards".
You gotta use the scar an one tap heavy heads
I'd prefer options than just use the Scar. The War-45 was fun, I have an entire build devoted to the FSA-12. Both are less viable now

why don't they test the weapons beforehand? They should have realized that you go minus against heavy units. I don't own the dlc but this still angers me
We have no reason to believe they don't test. The issue is that without this being in patch notes or acknowledged by Starbreeze, we don't know what their intent with these changes are. We can't see why or how they came to the conclusion that this was the best course of action
I think payday 3 suffers from a similar issue as helldivers 2 in terms of balance, attempting to balance things that do not need balance and making the game LESS FUN to play. I know people are saying payday 3 is easier than ever but for non hardcore players or players without all the skill points and unlocks it feels genuinely hard to play. perks keep changing, unlocks dont work, progression is totally different, no gun feels fun to use, armor is still a chore, it feels impossible to keep up. I'm trying to give payday 3 another chance but they sure dont make it easy.
This is why the game will die sooner rather than later. Every update the devs make is underwhelming at best while usually take multiple steps backwards in most other areas of the game. The devs are their own worst enemies in this and will be the leading reason for the game's demise.
Use Ziv
For SMG's I prefer the Lycan preset or the War-45. I just don't particularly like the feel of the Ziv so I'm not thrilled about having to fall back on it

As I said in my last video, I think Payday 3 is getting much better and this update was largely a good step in the right direction
This is a pve game, why are you crying about nerfs?
Because PVE vs PVP doesn't particularly matter in this case. PVE games have even more room than PVP to experiment and allow for more fun with wacky builds. With these nerfs, the viability and fun of some of those options is deminished
@@RustyChains I get it, but you can still play with this guns, it's just less ammo. I mean they could give info about changes, but they now have bigger problems in thier game, and it's not like COD update where it's important that you play meta guns.

I disagree! I've been very hard on this game but I really think it's been getting better. I don't even think its a "bad" game anymore, but this in particular is a major bump in the road.
