    Although we demonstrate with an OX STOMP for this video. Other cab sim pedals (Two Notes OPUS/Cab M, Mooer Radar and a host of others) can also be used in an incredibly similar way to get even more from your Origin Effects pedals.

      Dear Origin,,
      Well done on the video and using the UA Ox Stomp. It’s a great piece of gear and your pedals absolutely sounds great with and without the Ox Stomp. I’m using the Ox Stomp for my ampless rig as well. It’s generous of you guys using the Ox Stomp and promoting other competitors of Orgin as well, but please don’t advice/promote Two Notes devices. I’ve been there and done that with their units and they suck big time. Besides the artificial and flat tones their IRs deliver, their units has an annoying hum. And I’m definitely not the only one who complained about this. I ditched all their sheit and using the UA Dream in combination with the Ox Stomp as amps in my ampless setup. No hum or artificial tones and it takes pedals extremely well. I can see myself ending up or adding one of your units in combination with my Ox Stomp as well. I really like your devices. Keep up the good work.👊🏻

      @@Andy1979G We actually use the Two Notes in a fair few places around our office and have don't experience the noise issue you've described.
      The power supply that comes with the Two Notes products however, isn't all that great and can be a noise source in the Two Notes products and others. If you still have the Two Notes, I'd recommend using a higher quality supply with it.

      @@OriginEffectsUK Hi guys, thanks for your answer. I know their power supplies aren’t the best and I tried it with a better power supply, but no better results. It was the same with my C.A.B M+ and my Revolt. The Revolt sounded amazing tho, but the hiss made me sent it back to my dealer and I sold the the C.A.B M+. I still have 2 other Two Notes devices; the Le Clean and the Captor X 8 and don’t have those noise and hiss issues with them. The Le Clean sounds pretty nice to be honest and the Captor X is a pretty good reactive load with lotsa options for my valve amps. I’m not a newbie and playing for over 32 years and graduated on 2 music colleges (Rotterdam and Utrecht. Not trying to defend myself in any way with me saying this. Just wanna point out that my experiences with these devices and of some musical friends who used it aren’t great and the reason why I tested and bought the UAFX Dream and Ox Stomp for my ampless setup and as already said: super happy with both devices and no hiss or hum or artificial crap😉

    This is the most perfect video that could've popped up. I already owned a Dream65 and Ruby and really liked them (much more than my Iridium, which is still good but not on the level of the UA ones), so much so that even though I wasn't totally certain what the OX Stomp was or was capable of, I threw chance to the wind and bought one. It turned out to be the best gear purchase ever. $400 is pricy but it didn't take long to realize it can truly make your guitar sound like virtually anything and like its being played in almost any setting anywhere, from a club stage to smokey dive bar, huge hallway or tight garage, old school slapback or neon 80s chorus soaked dreampop or post punk, it's so insanely versatile and feature dense, and I didn't realize it also allowed additional echo/reverb, multiple delay styles, chorus, flanger, compression, overdrive/saturation. Ever since then I've only used my Dream65 and Ruby in amp-only mode, I bypass the onboard cabs on those and solely rely on Ox for cabs and all else. Even the Ox Stomp chorus presets are so much better than the ones on my other UA like the top Chorus setting on the Golden Reverberator. Anyway don't mean to turn this into an Ox stomp sales pitch. Lately I've felt there's gotta be more than the Iridium and UA amp in a box pedals. The Ox Stomp is hungry for more amp than my current collection can offer. I've never owned an Origin Effects but I've heard great things.. but in a world increasingly crowded with pedal offerings lately it's hard to keep up... plus I have a terrible memory so I kinda forgot about Origin Effects but this vid just popped up and I immediately realized one of your amp pedals is likely the exact thing I'm looking for to compliment my ox stomp. I remember loving your Magnatone pedal when I looked into it a couple years back. If you offer some kind of 'quick compare' guide to give folks a brief overview of your various amp pedals in a nutshell I'd love if you or anyone could share the link. Thanks!

    Origin you must make an Ox Stomp of your own to compliment my nine Origin pedals, bringing my total collection to ten Origin pedals...I want one more Origin pedal and that would be the one. Then, that's me not buying anymore pedals from anyone until I get my K.O.T in the new year...Origin please make it so.

    Really well done! This video is going to sell a lot of Origin Effects amp re-creation pedals if you can get players to watch it. The waters have been muddied pretty badly by the marketing smart asses of so many companies with the use of the word "preamp" on so many overdrives/distortion units over the last several years.

    I'll tell you what is really killer. I use the Ox Stomp with both my UA LION 68 and MAGMA 57. I set the OX to DI and run the 57 into the 68 into the OX, and use the 68's cab ir. HUGE SOUND! I prefer the Lion's cabs over the OX but still use the OX cab and room mic for slightly thicker sound. There are no rules...experiment.

    I''m going to use this video as a starting point for playing around with my current setup which is M-EQ into Revival Drive into Ox Stomp (to help me find more sounds I like). I've found a few settings I really like already and use this setup for both going into an amp and into a PA and it sounds great. I specifically built this board to get authentic amps sounds going direct which more and more of my gigs require.

    Ox Stomp with the Revival Drive is such a perfect pair... unfortunately, I'm already too deep in other solutions (the UAFX amp modelers), but if I was starting right now, probably this would be my solution of choice.

    Its awesome that you feature a pedal from a competitor for the benefit of your customers!
    In the manual for the Revival Drive compact, you recommend setting the Lows pot at zero for a Vox sound, yet here, for the same job, you set it at about 75%. I wonder why. Which is better for a Vox sound?

    Never considered putting effects after the pedal being like an fx loop. If I’m running the pedal into a real amp, is it better to put fx loop pedals in the loop of the amp or after the pedal?

    Ooof. So many high gain tones. Do most people really play with this much dirt most of the time? How about a bit more love for the clean and just slightly hairy sounds that can actually be so much harder to get sounding right, yet remain essential to a great set up.

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  4 місяці тому

      People do like gain! Turning down the DRIVE Control on any of our pedals acts just like turning down the volume on the amps, so clean tones are achievable by simply lowering that control.

      @michaelfloyd4917 4 місяці тому

    Hate.. HATE these single amp modelling pedals and all the digital single pedal stuff coming out. How much cumulative latency do these manufacturers think we can take?

    • @OriginEffectsUK
      @OriginEffectsUK  7 місяців тому +3

      That is definitely a bonus of using our Amp Recreation pedals. Being all-analogue saves you around 2.5ms of latency.

    • @davidfaustino4476
      @davidfaustino4476 7 місяців тому

      @@OriginEffectsUK Well yeah, YOUR pedals are great :) But a pedalboard rig with a couple of these different amp pedals and a reverb/delay (without dry through) is more than 2.5ms of total latency.
