I always felt so gross because of this. No one else had/has it around here that I know of. At school, people would notice and start making fun of me. I feel so disgusting all the time. I've tried so many treatments prescribed by my doctor and it's only gotten worse. I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one who suffers from this, and that there's really a lot of people who do.

Zaylee Jo You're definitely not alone! I can almost guarantee that there are others with the same condition at your school. It's fairly common. I hope you find something that helps but, either way, you're beautiful. The people who make fun of you are doing it because they don't feel good about themselves. It's not right but hurt people hurt people. Stay strong. ❤️

Zaylee Jo same girl!! I had it when I was a kid then after a while it left then it came back when I was around 13 or 14 right now I'm 15 and I have it. I've notice that I've been losing hair and I usually take a shower to get rid of the grease and when I get out of the shower and dry my hair I look at my scalp and I see more. 😢

Well actually everyone is different. It fucks my scalp up, but my friend used it and his cleared up. He has been P free now for almost 2 years. Just had a spot on his elbow. He put it on his knees and it cleared it up too. No joke put head and shoulders on his knees and let it soak for like 20 minutes then would get in the bath and soak and it’s cleared up. I’m about to try otezla I’m so fed up.

Not true for everybody. Some people die well alternating shampoos between a more high end, highly medicated one and regular drug store ones like HS and Selsun.

Scalp psoriasis is a common skin disorder that makes raised, reddish, often scaly patches. It can pop up as a single patch or several, and can even affect your entire scalp. It can also spread to your forehead, the back of your neck, or behind your ears.

I finally ordered this shampoo, i tried doing the conditioning cleansers... and some of them seemed to make my flakes worse, what made me buy this product was my husband telling me i needed to use his head and shoulders :( I had already asked him to order this on amazon since his account has prime, any hooo... i got actually ordered it off ebay since he was taking his sweet time.... and i got it today, used it already once, and my scalp feels AMAZING, i do still see flakes, but i have faith they will go away with more uses, i am so greatful that you shared this product and one of your viewers shared it with you. I think i have had my psoriasis for over 15 years, only getting diagnosed 1.5 years ago. Thank you again for sharing

Your hair is greasier because your scalp is healthy. The scalp naturally produces oil. Psoriasis clogs your pores. So clearing up your psoriasis= a happy scalp.

@@charlottefoulkes9746 That may work for a small period of time but psoriasis is an auto immune disease. People with psoriasis have immune systems that act very quickly, producing hundreds/thousands of skins cells daily until they build up and cause severe itching and pain. There is no cure.

Thanks sooooooooooooo much i can't say that enough. I was told that I have seborrheic dermatitis at the dermatologist office, but for me I've always felt that I had Psoriasis. My dermatologist prescribed so many different creams and shampoos and nothing worked. I have tried more than 200 different products over the past 15 years. I've see a dermatologist specialist and she diagnosed me with seborrheic dermatitis as well ....but I knew I didn't have that because when I starched my scalp it would burn and my hair would shed at an extremely fast rate. Long story short..... I've been using the product u suggested and it worked !...its been about three weeks and I have no more shedding or burning sensation on my scalp and thickness of my hair strand are Improving. I bought the sensitive one because I didn't want any irritation on my scalp. Now my scalp is happy and free. Is the regular on stronger?

I can go without using a dandruff shampoo for many days and still have dandruff free scalp. Because of your video I bought this product and now I can say I’m finally treating my scalp. It saved me hundreds of dollars on a dermatologist! I bought mine at Carethy. It takes a while to get here because it needs to be imported but it’s so worth the wait. I’m only half way done with my 200ml bottle and I already ordered the 390ml bottle. So thank you thank you thank you

Update: I've had dry scalp or "psoriasis" for I'd say 3years or so. my scalp is not too too bad. but it can sure get pretty annying. and one thing i can say that its that the flakes are very noticeable on my scalp, as well as painful.. soo I've been using it about 5 times and my hair is as clean as it gets!!! It's amaizing! One thing I can Disagree with her is about the oily hair. My hair doesn't get oily with it, in fact I can go for 3 days or more without washing it and it will stil look great! I've only tried not washing it for 3 days as a test, somethung that i was never ever able to do because of how oily my hair would get!..yeah its amaizing!. I'm sure I could of gone longer without washing it.. of corse everyone's hair is diferent so results will always vary. But yeah my hair seems to be flake free so far. i also love smell. its nothing strong but it has a nice hint of..sonething pleasant. I hope that it continues to work for me. I'll try to stop using it for about a week to see if my scalp will continue to be flakes free or of its a shampoo that has to be used regularly in order to keep the psoriasis away.. I'll keep you guys updated on that as well. :3

Hi sorry for the late update. The shampoo didn't help anymore after the 3rd bottle... then I made some reaserch and I found out that if you use anything with chemicals to try to stop the psoriasis, the scalp becomes used to it and then it fights it back..And it'll also come back stronger.. I started using Neem oil on my hair instead because It got worst.. the neem oil has helped me a lot ever since. It keeps the psoriasis at ease. I would suggest you guys try it and hopefully it works, because I know how frustrating it can be..Make sure it's ORGANIC RAW Neem oil. You can probably get it at Wholefoods, vitamin shoppe or any retail store that sells organic oils. You can also find it online.. the brand I found very helpful is called "Theraneed neem oil" hopefully this helps someone. Sorry for the late reply..

I bought this shampoo after seeing this video. I used about 2 bottles and it did wonders to my scalp. I hadn't seen it so clean and itch free in for ever! When I ordered my 3rd bottle I ordered 2 more because, since it's not sold in the US by its manufacturer I had to buy it of eBay and prices kept going up.. anyhow half way through my 3rd bottle the itch and flakes started to come back. The shampoo wasn't doing its job anymore or my scalp found a way to fight it. Long story short I had to stop using it because it wasn't doing it for me anymore and if I'm being honest It came back even worst. I looked up some more info about psoriasis and I found out that if you used shampoos that weren't natural it will trigger the psoriasis... so be careful. I mean it worked for me but not for long.. but again it could just be me. Best of luck to you guys! Also I wonder if this shampoo still works for her :0
Ps: I been using NEEM OIL on my hair and it worked great for months!! I still use it but I decided to buy a new brand because it was kinda pricey, unfortunately that didn't work so I guess I'll go back to the original neem oil wishing it works again.. "Theraneem-neem oil cold pressed organic " worked for me for those of you wondering. But you can probably try any other brand as long as it's cold press and organic!
Organic Things I've heard worked for many people but unfortunately didn't work for me And you might want to give a try are:
    Organic coconut oil
    raw vinegar
    Aloe Vera
    Vitamin E
    Fish oil

My only worry is that it wont work and I would have wasted a lot of money as this recently happened with another super expensive product designed for psoriasis and it didn't work:(

Hey, Ive suffered with scalp psoriasis for years now and it is just so strange and such a struggle especially when you have long hair and your a girl and you wanna do styles with it but youre uncomfortable because of your scalp and your shirts get flaky especially black ones.
My psoriasis was completely cleared up once before. It was a small shot in the upper butt that cost 30 dollars and my doctor gave it to me and it lasts about a month or more and it did wonders. I think it was called Diprofox or Diprophos or along those lines, I dont recall but I couldnt go along with it because it would end up costing me about 110 dollars (80 bucks to see the doctor and then 30 for the shot itself, plus i have no insurance) and I wanted to try something else instead before settling with the more expensive option.
I just wanted to mention that though for anyone who may have insurance and want to ask their doctor if they have heard of it because honestly it cured my psoriasis for a month and if you want to you should definitely look into it as it worked for many of my doctors patients.
Glad you have found this that works for you!!!!

I bought the sulphate/sulfate-free/sensitive formula because I color my hair often, so unfortunately, I had not tried the formula you show in your vid, but let me tell you, if it's anything like the kind I purchased, it's a MIRACLE & truly life-changing, like you say! I truly feel it was a Godsend! I used it for the first time 2 days ago on my scalp that was pretty itchy, red, inflamed & sore & I sit here now with a virtually flake-free, mostly itch-free & inflamed-free scalp. For me, I have not experienced any greasiness/increase in oil production on my scalp--still have the volume from when I first styled it. I'm a believer & I will continue to re-purchase this incredible & incredibly expensive shampoo! :)

    • @jenbaca946
      @jenbaca946 8 років тому

Hi Katie! Sorry it took me so long to answer back--my computer was acting more like a giant paper weight than a computer! LOL! Yes, I am still using the Vichy shampoo & YES!! It's worked a miracle on my scalp!! I was pretty much in the same boat as Ellie & tried EVERYTHING to no avail. This shampoo is a literal GODSEND to me. I get the sulfate-free version because I color my hair & only use the stuff on my scalp since it's not cheap! LOL! I use a regular sulfate-free shampoo on the rest of my hair & it's been WONDERFUL not dealing with the itchiness, patches of psoriasis, irritation & flaking. If you are going through the same thing, try it!

I discovered this shampoo in a small town a month ago and it literally cured my over 20years scalp psoriasis as well! Words can’t describe how grateful I am to this random discovery. Mine was really tiny bottle suitable for 3-4 washes and it was enough to completely clean my scalp. It also didn’t make my hair greesy, I don’t wash my hair often once or twice a week, and it worked perfect for me with this shampoo. I hope Vichy keeps producing it. Also this one smells amazing!!! Right now I have no scalp issues no more so I am experimenting with other shampoos by Vichy.

So i have had scalp psoriasis since i was about 9 or 10. In my young years it wasnt as bad but as a i got older it got super bad. i am now 17 and it has really ruined my life, my self esteem . I used to have SUPER and i mean Super thick hair and i have lost a ton of my hair because of this. Mine is so bad i have it on my hairline all over my scalp behind my ear , i flake ALOT its really itchy and it goes to the point where it starts bleeding and become scabs . and frankly i am so tired of it. I thought i was the only one that goes through this. I try covering my hairline with makeup, covering it with my hair and it still shows so i just want it ALL OFF!! like completely , im going to see if i could order this and see if it works. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you know someone that is a licensed professional, have them get you a product called Awaken by Surface. It's absolutely amazing. And it's actually made for psoriasis. It's vegan, gluten free, Paraben free sulfate free and petty much everything free. Hands down the best thing ever created and smells amazing!!!
It is a shampoo, conditioner and treatment. Can be bought from salon centric. You can also go to their website to find a local salon that sells it. :)

I'm so excited to try this! :) I have tried so much stuff and nothing works. I hate it so much!
How bad was your psoriasis? How quick did it work?

What worked for me was shaving my hair off and spending 3hrs in the sun everyday (I live in Australia and this only works in the summertime) you have to be careful not to get sun burn that’s the worst.

I've got scalp psorasis also, well I've got it in a variety of spots but my scalp is the worse. I was told that products for dandruff do not address the psorasis as its a different issue which creates each problem. I'm glad this worked for you as this scalp psorasis sucks. I plan to give it a try but just thought I should address why the dandruff shampoos you've used previously may not have worked for you.

i have to tell you that I used head and shoulders and it worked. it should not work but it does. i don't understand it. i think we are so individual that sometimes our bodies just react to things that have positive individual reaction.

Can confirm this product is great, not a complete fix but for all the fellow psoriasis sufferers, it is amazing. Ive tried a few of this companies products but i only found this exact product would do the most to my scalp. It will take a few washes but then the scalp will feel free of any clumps or spots of flakes. It does come back but atleast you can have some weeks with no flakes :)

I can't wait to try this. I'm kicking myself now for stocking up on T-Gel (which works OK, but it only makes my psoriasis flakes manageable, it doesn't get rid of them). I really hope this works for me too, I've only just managed to get most of the psoriasis on my body under control - my scalp is the only place is still persists really problematically...

I use Neutrogena's T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo and it is the only shampoo I have found to help. I use it 4-5 times and then i use normal shampoo or head and shoulders for around 3 months and then I use the Neutrogena again. It works so wonderfully against me and my sister's psoriasis it does however smell a bit. I have tried really expensive hairdresser's stuff that smelled even worse and that didnt work so I am very hapoy. Thanks for the tip!
