Personally I prefer Diamondback but Intimidator is still a great ride. You should really do Fury 325 vs Milliuneum Force or top 10 most intense coasters.
The 5/10 isn't a bad thing- the Point is to find out which coaster has the higher score at the end, and to have a fair comparison in height and speed, I have to have a constant for the math to work. The constant is the same across the board for steel coasters.

I have the same exact opinion of Diamondback. The seats on these coasters are exactly the same. Just look at the beginning of the video. Anyway, Diamondback is at my home park, and I have never ridden Intimidator.

I am not as an experienced coaster rider compared to Taylor, but I could sense some rattle on both rides. But both are very smooth though. In my opinion, I think Diamondback is the better coaster, the layout, splash ending and the speed are what makes this ride excellent. Both are in my list of top 10 roller coasters of all time, Diamondback is tied for #1 and Intimidator is #8 i think.
Every airtime hill except for 2 on intimidator either banks to one side or is trimmed, the second one is the final brake run. Diamondback only has one trimmed hill.
Rode Diamondback twice today. Awesome coaster. First ride was towards the back, hit definitely had a slight rattle, second ride up front barely noticed it. Regardless it’s still very smooth.
I definitely prefer Diamondback because it has a good-sized drop out of the MCBR as well as 2 airtime hills, carousel and splashdown. Also it's a better setting. Intimidator's first element is great though.

I would give diamondback a 4.5 on theming, as the seating is a very subtle hint to the shape of the mouth of a diamondback. The top teeth are further outward and further back, like the rear seats on each car, while the bottom teeth are further in and further forward, like the front seats on each car. Where else have ypu seeen the seating patterns determined by the theme? Now THAT is a cool reference.
I actually prefer Diamondback. I felt the airtime much more on Diamondback. I also prefer the layout of Diamondback. The simple out and back layout isn't bad, but I think there was a bit more creativity put into Diamondback's layout. I think the splashdown was also nice. Intimidator isn't bad, but I think Diamondback was just Intimidator completely on steroids besides theme (My weekend vacation was Kentucky Speedway and King's Island), and ride duration. And because it is 2017, Mystic Timbers was amazing, besides the shed. Some creativity was there, and a great theming touch, but it was underwhelming because I was riding the hype train that took more than it could ever give back. The Beast > Mystic Timbers.
Having ridden both of them, I prefer Intimidator to Diamondback because it’s smoother and has better airtime. Apollo’s Chariot is currently my favorite B&M hyper because I love its setting in the woods alongside the Rhine River and gives an excellent night ride.
I think it would make more sense if you compared statistics such as height or speed against the average height/speed for a rollercoaster rather than comparing it against the record holder. Therefore, you would't get coasters such as Diamondback or Intimidator receiving low scores for height even though they are taller than the majority of coasters out there. Just some friendly criticism, that's all. :)
Taylor, I think u expect too much o. The theming category. Almost every coaster and in a coaster fight or coaster review gets low theming cuz not many coaster have that much theming. Just a suggestion, it would be nice if u lowered ur standards on the theming. That said, great coaster review.
I went on intimidator 2 weeks ago and it doesn't say gentleman start your engines anymore. Maybe it was just that day but I liked it when it said that lol
big news(kind of) knots berry farm is updating there ghost town to make it better, the ghost rider will be getting a re-track but also GCI trains, this could make it one of the best coasters in the park

But you do get to experience all these things the random yt comments talk about. Lol, I prob am gonna favor carowinds tho bc of its convenience & it's where I live. But it is a big park w/ exciting rides. I was like pshhh intimidator only has an ish load of drops. 💡i wonder which coaster has the most 🤔. Also, I just dont really know much about the other one. But considering I actually watched this, lol, I'm not that far off. For Larger people DIamondback has a bit more room. Intimidator has more rip you up out of your seat against the restrain air time, but Diamond back has more free floating zero G air time. Only the one hill as you go back into the woods on diamond back has the rip you out of your seat air time. Intimidator has 4 or 5 of these. I think Diamondback is just a funner ride. However both are fun, and Carrowinds has the advantage of being able tor ride Fury 325! Now that is one amazing coaster.

Why are you comparing two HYPER coasters heights to a STRATA coaster? These coasters weren't designed to go 456 feet high. So basically youre saying that (I know you won't do this) if you did two kiddie coasters and one was 15 feet and one was 10 that you would rate them like .5 in the height category because they are no where close to 456 feet. Thats unfair! If you are doing two hyper coasters, you should test out the height for HYPER coasters. This also applies to speed too as your comparing coasters with drops to a launched coaster that goes 149 mph.
I learned from these coasters that I like sustained airtime, floater or ejector like on S:ROS, MF, Outlaw Run or Wild Things second hill. But these medium pops on B&M's don't really do anything for me. Even Apollo's Chariot was forgettable for me.
