- Today the two giga coasters on the east coast will square off in a fight you will never forget! In this video, we will determine which is the better ride by comparing the coasters with a series of categories. Who will take home the gold?

Does anybody else notice how the roller coaster is called Fury 325 mostly because it's 325 ft tall but also because it's 3 minutes and 25 seconds long?

It feels like people are fighting over which is better but I feel like fury was meant to feel open and have a lot of turns while intimidator was meant to be super intense so like its apples and oranges

Love the cable lift and intensity of I305 and the pacing and airtime of Fury. Personally I like 305 more just because of the intensity but Fury is more rerideable. Both epic rides.
Dude when I first started enjoying roller coasters I was so gp. I once though to myself "wow, I need to go to carowinds like right now, because it has both fury 325 AND intimidator 305. Now that's a good coaster lineup. Then I developed brain cells

Fury 325 definitely has its qualities, and it's one fantastic ride, but in my opinion, it really does fall short of intensity when compared to I-305. I'd even argue that Millennium Force is tied with Fury 325 for intensity (and yes, I have ridden both Millennium Force and Fury 325 many times).
The original Intimidator is at Carowinds, I know Intimidator 305 is larger but I feel like that at least deserved a mention.

Yes! Two of my favorite roller coasters I’ve ever ridden! I love I305’s intensity and rapid transitions, but I would give the slight edge to Fury 325 because it has a bit of everything: height, speed, intensity, smoothness, airtime, and length. Also Fury has some of my favorite restraints on any roller coaster. They’re both currently in my top 3 only behind Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance.

I have been on i305 several times and Fury 325 once. I love i305 but I have to say that Fury is the most memorable coaster I have ever been on. I have never experience a first drop like that in my lifetime!!!
I can see it now... Golden Ticket Awards proudly represent Fury 325 as the best new coaster of 2015. :D

GTA are Rigged To CF's favor But It was awesome to see dollywood Showing them Up with 5 GTA's
well guy's just to point out the Intimidator actually goes 95 mph. for those that do not know when the ride first open the had place trim brakes on the drop and re configure that first turn due to people blacking out and the trains wheele's. That lowered the speed to 90 but has taken them off. so my baby is running at full speed, 95 mph not 90. also I305 has a cable lift hill that travels the train at 15 mph up that 305 lift, then up and over. At a 80 degree drop. For the trim brakes on the last bunny hill, yes that is a bum that they have it their but its necessary to slow the train down so it doesn't go to fast once it hits the slow- downs brakes. now I don't know about Fury but I305 is just to plan mean and it's really up to your liking, because if you like intense then I305 takes it but if you like fast but soft the Fury takes it. the bottom line is that their both good-ass rollercoasters. P.S. please stop putting wrong information in videos ot comments, just do your research. I know that a lot of pages say other things but a lot have change since 2010.
court side and for people that are about to respond to this comment. yes this is true information I have worked at KD- I305 for the past 3 years and know the ends and out. and planly tried of people putting wrong information in these videos.

There might be a slight difference while u go throught the track mainly cause I305 slows to about 80 mph when it gets over the first air time hill.
I love the fact that both of the coasters are very smooth so congradulations for both of the coasters.

Currently Intimidator 305 is my favorite roller coaster just beating kingda ka, which just beats Bizarro at SFNE and then Boulder Dash. I need to go on Fury 325 now. Thank you very much for making this. This videos are always factually accurate and gives me a good perspective.

How come all your Fury footage is choppy? I've noticed that it was only like that for your Fury footage, not even for other Carowinds coasters.
+Jeffrey Kim I was using a different video editor at the time, which had a low frame rate. Since that coaster, I got a new editor which has allowed smooth 60fps.
I like some of your predictions and all But IDT Fury's fame is gonna last all That long most B&M's from The 90's have all since changed or scrapped,,,,,,that being said I think RMC is the only one to Top Intamin & MF

Perfect review - just rode both within one day of each other - Intimidator 305 is more intense - for sure! But the Fury 325 is just a great all around coaster - LOVED it!

***** I agree, rode them three weeks apart. I305 was MUCH more intense in that first part but Fury was better overall. It's longer and more consistently exciting after the beginning, whereas the I305 loses you along the way.

I haven't ridden intimidator 305 but I have ridden fury 325 which I absolutely LOVE. Favorite coaster

Fury is in my top 3 bucketlist coasters. I’ve ridden I305 twice in a row. There’s nothing like the feeling you get when you hear gentlemen, start your engines! And you start going up that cable lift for the first time. I knew how intense that ride was supposed to be and I was more than a little nervous. Front row was the only time I’ve grayed out on a ride even a little. At least I think I did. Of course it was that first turn. Definitely the most intense coaster I’ve ridden.

How do you know? Did you ride both? Because if you didn't, you have no authority to say that fury 325 is better than I305. Nobody likes Fanboys, and I'm pretty sure you are one. I'm sick and tired of all your comments saying bring the CP 5 Year Plan, while other parks in the Cedar Fair chain and just other parks in general need it before Cedar Point gets a new coaster. I would love a new coaster at Cedar Point, but their other parks need a new coaster. I would love a Cedar Point 5 Year plan, but I don't think spamming on every video is a logical and convincing reason for Coaster Studios.

Ridden both. Intimidator 305 is CLEARLY the better ride. Sorry if I disagree with the popular consensus if he picked I305, but its so much more intense then the Carrowinds coaster, it isn't even funny.
Edit: So Furry 325 won... fair enough! I understand all the points he made in the video even though I enjoyed Intimidator 305 much more. But at the same time, I respect the decisions he made and agree with many of his points even though I feel I305 is the better ride. Good video man!

+Kevin Thompson plus intamin makes the fastest coaster in the world Formula Rossi (FERRARRI)intamin fast and super smooth as mad as I am at cedar fair right now intamin still wins
One category to add that no one seems to mention is the # of seats per row. I prefer 2 so each person is on an edge. It just adds to the experience when you are on an edge. the two middle seats in rows of 4 take away a little from the experience. Of course rows of 4 are good for line efficiency. But regardless, I prefer rows of 2.

I haven't been on Fury yet (planning to go this September) but I've been on I305 many many times and it is by far the most intense roller coaster I've ever been on and my personal favorite. I'm a huge fan of intense rides like El Toro, Skyrush, I305, etc, so I feel like I will prefer I305 to Fury but I'm still really hype to ride it, it looks amazing. Also ftr I think Intimidator 305 basically needs those over the shoulder restraints because of all the twisty sections that it has. The lateral G would make your upper body go flying left and right in a very painful manner if it weren't for those restraints so I kinda (and ftr this is like the only ride where I would say this) am glad that I305 has the over the shoulder restraints.
I am so excited that I am going to be visiting Carowinds in the near future! I am horribly terrified, YET SO EXCITED to ride this one. I have heard positive and negative things about Carowinds. XD Can't wait to see 4 myself...
I loved the fury I have ridden it like 4 times and I live like 45 mins from carowinds so I go all the time and the fury is by far the best

A small correction. The manual for I305 states it has 5 airtime hills.
1. After the first drop, the giant one under the lift
2. When you exit the first airtime hill, there is a low to the ground air time hill
3. The trim airtime hill
4. The airtime hill immediately after the trim airtime hill
5. Bunny hop into the break run.
those don't count
like it has to be float or eject, speed hills dont count

1Fury Wins for overall wow factor
2Intimidator Wins for overall technical appeal (more drops/hills)

Coaster studios you should compare the two vertical velocity coasters! (The one with the two vertical spikes and the one with one vertical spike and one slanted spike)

@@Lucky_9705 Comment from an old era I see, long before I had ridden both (as I have now). That said I do prefer Fury being that it's just overall more well rounded on the positives and negatives. I'd basically describe Fury as Superman The Ride with Leviathan's drop. I305 is so focused on punishing positive Gs that it forgets to give world class airtime. I'd say Skyrush is basically a perfected version of I305 with the way it has more moments of strong negative Gs.

the first year that intimidator 305 was open the shoulder restraints were a very hard rubber as opposed to the new ones and i wasn't as tall then as i am now and the headbanging was terrible, not bad enough to stop me from riding it 10 times in a row in the same day though

As some have said, I don't think height and speed should be worth points. Although they are a huge part of a coaster, at these height and speeds the 2 differences really aren't noticeable, I also think some categories should be worth more than others, like in your park battles, and maybe start to include more categories, Like layout, elements, g-force (positive) and such! 😌
I agree with you on height, but speed does play a role. it just adds to the experience. i mean which one would you ride, a 10 mph coaster or 50 mph coaster?

In the back seat, you get a weird sensation of air at the top of Fury's Treble Clef Element, its almost like a RMC Outerbank

I don't know.... i think that a category like intensity should maybe be worth more than something like restraints. Personally, I'd ride an intense coaster with terrible restraints way more than a boring one with extreme comfort. That's just me.

The reason I like millenium force is also because of the drop time and it is steep I never thought of it this way.
Coaster Studios, you would make day if you represented my home park, Dourney Park. Something like a park battle, future plans, coaster battle(Hydra), etc. There is not that many DP videos on your channel and it is hard to find a good quality video somewhere else.

I just rode fury 325 I've rode both versions of the intimindator KD 305 is intense for sure but the fury in my opinion is the top dog, carowinds intimindator is fun the lap bar give u that extra edge of excitement. the fury is way faster and banks really really good
I love them both, and have ridden both of them > 10 times - I definitely think fury is better though, it's a well rounded, world class RC

I never rode any of these but I think I would like Intimidator 305 because of the extreme of the high g-forces. I never gray out on any rides, so I should see the whole ride fine.
I never gray out on any rides either…EXCEPT I305. Unless you are perfectly hydrated it’ll likely happen to you

Since when is “banked turns” part of the fight? Did you just put that in there so Intimidator would get a point?
I'm sure both of these are extremely intense but if I had the choice to ride either one I would choose I305 for some reason.
I really feel like the height & speed categories really don't count in this case, I mean I'm not an I-305 fanboy but I'm sure nobody can tell the difference between 305 & 325 feet, nor 90 & 95 mph. Actually, I think I-305 ranges between 90-94 because I saw 92mph in the promo, and I heard 94 mph in Sharp Production's I-305 POV. Either way I doubt anyone is capable of telling the difference between the height and speed of these 2 coasters.

Wow Fury beat out Intimidator, that's really saying a lot. I got to get to Carowinds right now! Also, I like the restraints category, restraints can really make a ride experience fantastic or awful. Heck Skyrush would be one of my favorite coasters if they fixed their restraint issue

I've not ridden neither of these coasters, but they still look like cheesecake to ride. It takes a lot to scare me. I still stay Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point takes the cake! One day, I will ride it! =)

Two different ones. I305 is much taller and faster than the Carowinds one (232 ft.) and focuses more on turns than airtime hills.
