There are some pretty contrived lines I've seen that are completely unclimbable without fixed head and circles. In those cases I don't think it's right to remove them. Doing so could damage the little notches and make the area even less able for gear to be placed therefore giving way to excuses for bolting.
An so climbing these "pretty contrived lines" with fixed heads and circle heads provides what kind of challenge? Those aren't the routes I care to climb anyway. All the heads I've removed have been able to be climbed by other means.
Did you remove any of the fixed stuff on west face of leaning tower? I was going to attempt and was thinking of doing that one because I have limited time and know that I probably wont have to spend time placing heads..because the word is that theres alot of fixed heads on that climb.

Thanks Mark!

Mark, I have some questions I would like to get your feedback on, do you have an email?
Thanks.

what size chisels do you recommend for your large and small butterknives?
1/2 and 3/4 chisels. Shape them and then thin them out a bit.
Mark Hudon thanks!
nice!
