Hi MzAlamo. I just finished watching your video and I greatly appreciate all of the information you provided. I have just recently graduated with my BSN in Nursing and I have finally got my license in Nursing as well. My dream is to start my own business in the aesthetic/cosmetic field. I am located in Toronto, Canada and have been looking to take some courses to get the ball rolling. Do you have any tips for us newly graduate nurses who are looking to get into this amazing field? Thank you so much in advance.
Hello Erik! CONGRATS to you!! Welcome to the wonderful world of Nursing. Endless options. The most important tip I would give, personally, is to acquire some experience in acute care. It will definitely make you more well rounded when you encounter complications. Also, take tons of trainings in Aesthetics while you are learning acute care. That way when you feel like your ready, you will be more than prepared. Follow me on my insta, and feel free to DM me with questions you may have on your journey. Best of luck to you!! Xoxo 💜
Hello Ms. April Alamo, congratulations! I have been wanting to transition into the world of Aesthetics for over 15 years now and stayed stuck in my job as an Associate Degree RN for over 15 years. Worked before as an LPN.Tried several times and finally started my BSN beginning of this year only to go on a leave of absence because of Covid. Getting older and would still love to do this. Do I need a BSN to do this and did you complete the course in required time? Have you gotten any live training/practice yet and how is it? Did you study facials, lasers, chemical peels? Please keep us informed. I am happy for you and wish you all the success. Your skin is beautiful.
