Just make sure the kids are not shrunk and traveling through the backyard. ;)
Personally, I like working outside because I hike 2-6 miles almost every day. Plus I have a lawn tractor to ride not a push mower.
I would ask this: what about yards that have a lot of roots sticking up? My yard has a few Cypress Trees and they tend to have knees that pop up and can hit the mower hard if you are not careful. They can even stop the mowing deck of they are too high. A powerful mower can keep them shaved down because they are fairly soft but they are resilient.
I agree that yard work is great exercise! I don't expect to stop mowing my lawn on occasion, but this does help with daily lawn maintenance to make sure my lawn is kept at a certain height, so it is easier if I decide I want to do some yard work - and I don't have to feel bad if I miss a week or even a month. It also allows me to focus on other tasks that might need my attention - especially tasks that my wife never fails to ask for help on during the weekend :)
As for the roots. You are right. those would be seen as obstacles which the mower would avoid and probably go around which means there is still some level of work that needs to be done. In that instance, it would cover most of the yard, if it's not able to handle the entire yard. The robot mower also wouldn't be able to shave those roots down since the roots would probably destroy the razor blades.

Can I park the charging station in my garage?
You could, but that might be a long way for the robot to travel if you are using it to primarily mow your backyard. I guess it depends on your use case, but you technically could as long as there is a way the mower can get to it in the garage.

with that kind of pricing, you could hire someone, too pricey for most people. just a long winded sales’ pitch for the brand
I agree that it is pricey, but great over the longterm. I have had the Luba 1 for about a year now and it still works great.
Who the heck wants to stop mowing??? Wth? That’s my time.
Im not a fan of the Texas Heat. It's very helpful in the dead of Summer. Plus its great for daily maintenance.
