I almost instinctually moved my stalker away when the probe died, but realized just before I clicked it anywhere that it was still shooting. An absolutely mind melting game this was to play.

fun fact, if you're revealed your buildings can still be attacked even if they're cloaked by a mothership. I have in fact lost a game because of this.

@@PiGstarcraft Yeah, neither did I. It was a base trade and I just left my mothership hanging in dead space just in range to cloak my last building, figured I was safe. Then he just walked up an killed it while my army was gone.

"Bad Bots II", a dark buddy cop comedy where 1 probe and 1 stalker break the rules to defend the 🍌 colored Aiur from a horde of infested, subterranean mangos and turn Harstem's fruit hierarchy upside-down!
I feel bad because now every time Harstem eats his second favorite fruit it will taste like it's missing a mineral.

What hurts me the most is at 37:38 Harstem splits off one of the Locust to go after the Stalker because one Locust is already enough to deal with the probe, but then a second later he changed the order and makes the 2nd Locust come back to land on the probe too.
Seems to me some of these limited unit games make for the most intense gameplay. Perhaps one of your mod/challanges could be a endgame limited units scenario. No mining, use what you're given.
Oh this was so painful but funny. Seeing the reactions at the end was golden. Thanks for the video.

Everything about this video is great, but I may have watched the point at 37:41 - where PiG savors Harstem's soul exploding - about 500 times. Trace of a smirk. Slight tilt to the head. Eyebrows arch. Then pure, exultant glee.
At around @20:00 ... looks like Harstem forgot that a hatchery is 300 and not 400 minerals!? 10 drones and multiple safe spots to build one...
He forgets that if the stalker took one more attack he also would've won. hilariously epic

This was one of the most massive slugfests I've seen outside of pro matches.
I never comment on sc2 games, but omg that was something else. I have played Star craft since the original was released and outside of custom maps I have never seen something this insane!
I first learned about stalkers shooting up at revealed high ground buildings during the PartinG v MyuNgSiK GSL match on Vaani Research Station a loooong time ago.

This came up on my um. Oh what's that thing called. My UA-cam recommendations list. From a year ago!? Dang. And I didn't notice, so I watched it. My gosh, what an epic game.
When a Grand Master level game, involving many thousands of crystal can turn on 1 crystal... 1 probe.. 1 stalker.. StarCraft II is just not going to be an easy game for any game to rival. We all thought swarm hosts were just bad, and bad idea to boot, and yet here this example is, of how they can make for absolutely epic play. (Now, granted, this must have been some kind of challenge game? Except he wasn't actually forced to use SH? He chose them! And they almost worked.)

14:25 there when the DTs were killing the locust , harstem had an overseer just a little bit off to the bottom right of the screen... not even a full screen away.,.. if he just moved it a bit towards the DTs, the locusts wouldve been able to kill the DTs right after finishing the nexus ... and at that point really, whats boanaan army without those dts?? a couple stalkers?
Brooo Idk if it was because of that* game and people mimicing it but I had a game that was super simliar + like 50 more nydus networks, 100% map vision. Absouluetly I NEED TO WATCH IT. 🙏 it was the most exhausting game I've ever played in over 10 years of playing. How do I send you videos?!

Pretty sure Harstem technically lost by the point he built the vipers and overseeers instead of building another base. How are you ever gonna kill a mining player who's not wildly misplaying while all that you lose will never come back?
Swarm hosts make free units though, so there's technically unlimited value you can get from them
@@PiGstarcraft That's true, but i feel like in most of those cheesy, gritty games i played with super low ecos, the player who was mining could usually hold on long enough to just outlast the opponent. Although harstem had all the tools here to win, the number of times that last stalker survived within one shot of dying was insane.

It is so weird to come back to StarCraft after years an still see that Swarm host exists. I dislike them so much it even made me quite even just watching StarCraft.
they're nowhere near the problem they were in HOTS. They can only have locusts active about 40% of the time so it's nothing like the constant waves of utter BS they were in HOTS
Disappointed with Harstem, he lost so much stuff just by being slower than he normally is.
Edit: I apologize if this comment feels harsh, when I made it I was angry that the captain lost.
no-one has muscle memory in this sort of a crazy game! Suddenly every move has to be calculated in real time... and we all fall apart and play like ass haha
