This turned into a classic example of the "he has to be lucky everytime, I only need to be lucky once'
I'd say Aqueron needed to be lucky twice because there were two collosi. Fortunately, he got his moments of luck and killed them.
@@Amoeby to be fair, if he made a spire, even a very late one. 1 corruptor would win instantly. So he really shouldn't be relying on luck.
@@oponomo a spire and a corruptor require 300 gas. This is an equivalent of 12 roaches or 3 ravagers. I don't know if that's a good idea to sacrifice that amount of units in order to get a single corruptor.
@@Amoeby i think corruptor is always a good choice when using swarm hosts to siege cannon rush. because the only big threat are collossus AND the corruptor can snipe buildings that aren't protected by a cannon range, so it's always a good investment.

I know we have the benefit of not being in game under such intense pressure, but I feel like if Zerg had just gone dropperlords after being pushed up the ramp, it would have basically been game over from there. Expansions, attacking the batteries from behind, maybe even some fancy drop micro of your own if you get overlord speed, too. I don't know, just some thoughts.

I think that the zerg could've won easily if they tried to snuck some drones behind one of the counter pushes towards the proxy and make 2nd, 3rd hatchery
This hurt so much to watch, it's unreal how long those 2 colossus went around. If Zerg lost after all that I wouldn't be able to sleep for the next week
I really wanted to see AqueroN go for burrow, but I guess there was no way for him to guarantee there wasn't an Observer out.
When I think of it, was there a time/resources to get on lair tech, or at least burrow banelings?
Or even beakout and built lair far away, forcing to either split and leave some units without prism, assuming printF would find out in the first place

Aqueron made so many basic mistakes it's unreal! Like he started long distance mining 2-3 minutes later than he should - the colossus couldn't be possibly fighting the drones when they were busy doing damage to the ravagers/queens! Not spreading creep lead him to be extremely zoned and losing many units. Mass ravagers against warp prism is nuts! Queens were the way to go. Also his artillery shots were quite bad, as they were mostly stacked and non predicting/zoning enough.
The last colossus had around 52 kills btw :D.

After printf lost his main base I was like "surely that's gg" but no... 11 more minutes. Insane.
the man has such a depth of experience in these situations he's the only guy who's just calmly like "yeah I'll just see if I can micro it out"

I tend not to balance bitch but the degree to which you can juggle a single colossus against that many ravagers and, if executed properly, it's impossible to hit the colossus does feel kiiiiiiinda bullshit. Printf's ability to do so is pretty impressive though.
The ability to micro colossi doesn’t seem like that big of a deal in 99.9% of games. If it’s only good in a single, extremely narrow situation i wouldn’t consider it imba
Prism shouldnt be able to pick up a colossus.

I´m not saying its imba but transporting massive units like thor, collosus or the ultralisk shouldnt be possible in my opinion.

14 drones with 6 on gas for 10 mins... no lair ever, first tumor at 18 mins, only 5 queens after 20 mins?
If zerg made a dropperlord and just went to make a new base he woulda been fine

Couldn't printf have been mining that whole time? It showed he still had 1 probe. Was the probe stuck somewhere and couldn't get back to the main?

There was no main. He left the door open, lings destroyed it, and he had no enough minerals in bank to rebuild it, so...

Bruh shoulda just invested in a lair (150/100)and a spire (200/200) and 2 corruptor (300/200) = 650/500 total
Sure he would have less ground and there would be time he had to wait to tech to corruptors, but lets face it 2 corrruptors woulda faired better than 4 ravagers (100/100) = 400/400 and 4 roaches 300 /100 = 700/500 and cost 50 minerals less.
And if he just stayed up on 1 base and did this early the 2 colosi and 1 disruptor woudla not done much being that far away from the batteries.

@@isaackvasager9957no. He attacked with ravs and queens off creep very reclessly. Just stay main base, build some spores, and something that shoots up when there was only 2 col + prism.

I hate dealing with prisms, but a prism being able to pick up a colossus seems a bit broken.
100%, plus forward shield batteries...it's pretty silly.

The way the zerg played this made me so angry. Just get 3 spores, tech to lair and get one corr out... You can easily defend with a handful of roaches, spores and queens. Why make your life unnecessarily difficult.

I agree, sometimes I feel like zergs feel very weak against other races. It's almost like they are at the constant disadvantage. But more often then not players just don't play into zerg's strengths.

To be honest as a zerg main this video made me just sad. At many moments in it, zerg just felt helpless agains protos siege. Sure mistakes were made and defence could be executed better, but I can't get rid of the feeling like zerg in game is at a constant disadventage. Maximum that you can see in "creative play" from zerg is a proxy hatch with some roaches, while the other races has dozens of spectacular and interesting strategies to open with and surprise the opponent.
I love zerg, it's my favoirite race, but their air feels super weak and is destroed in most cases or you even not able to built to it in time. Its like you are stuck with 3 units - zerglings, roaches and hydras. This made the game unfun.
Sorry for a small vent, perhaps I'm not playing into zerg's strengths? Perhaps I'm missing somethig? Please do tell!
Fellow Zerg main here,
Z has a lot of cool strategies and interesting builds, don't limit yourself by what's considered viable or meta - experiment with the units you like!
You might not be able to proxy buildings as well, but you can still do some funky 2 base fast tech builds (or even 1 base variants like the Swarmhost Nydus build Pig showed off a while ago) like rushing out Lurkers with dropperlords or super fast Ultras, you get the idea.
The Queen is also a very good unit that can still be used offensively if you're on Lair tech or have a proxy Hatch for Creep.
There's burrow too (tunneling claw Roaches, Infestor drive-by's)!
You need to stop worrying about what your rank says and focusing more on what you actually enjoy about the game.
Play some games with a strategy that you come up with, the units you like and the way you like to play. Analyze your replays to figure out what went wrong, what went well and refine your build. You'll have much more fun with the game this way and also get a much better understanding of WHY and HOW all the parts of the game move.
I would highly recommend checking out Pig's "Book of Filth" and his other build resources to get you some creative ideas or just some builds to try out for yourself to see a different side of Zerg.

If this doesn't prove toss is OP I don't know what does. lol. 14 army supply and you are legit in the game for 12 minutes with no mining. Absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, warp prism micro is broken. I realize people will claim this is me being "salty"....but if you can watch this game and think "yes, this seems reasonable", then you are in fact not being honest. (I play random btw if that matters, and I suck with all races)

Protoss is good at low level plays, but in pro scene protoss is extremely weak winning nothing
@@tomhe286 Aligulac disagrees, at least as far as normal mortals are concerned. At the very top of professional competition it may not be the case.
Literally 2 corrupters would have ended the game. Seems like terrible decision-making by the Zerg.
Show this game to anyone and they will say how obvious is that the game's balance is in the shitter
Well, you can technically do that insane damage with a few protoss units, but only if you have the god tier micro from printf.
I think they will laugh more than balance whine, that was pretty entertaining to see, and complaining isn't people's first priority outside most of the time

And to answer the "entertaining" comment. I find this as entertaining as any other abusing mechanic in a game, like finding a spot with no collision or a seethrough wall.
All printf does is abuse shit. I never liked this, maybe you do. Good for you. I have an age where I started playing outside with other people. Abusing in real games is just pathetic, only losers did it when they were desperate for a point.
@@wowscortcher Why did you feel the need to attack me for no reasons except the fact I enjoyed watching this video ? Both players made mistakes, they also made nice moves but I know more than one person that would find it quite impressive. Prism juggling is not an exploit, I might want to add, you can't compare it to actively abuse bugged colisions or oversights in a game.
Side note, why are you here if you "never liked this" ? UA-cam is for either entertainment or learning things, and you do not seem to be enjoying this video, nor to learn anything from it.

@@Samissa806 i honestly didn't want to offend you or anyone else. I meant you in the generic form. I often like Pig's casts and most of the cheeses. But I hate seeing cannon-battery abusing. That's simply broken in SC, in my worthless opinion, against Zerg, at levels below top gm. Prism juggling may be somewhat hard, but the fact that that's everything that protoss needs to focus on, and the fact that Zerg is absolutely humiliated and helpless makes me rage. I could not watch till the end, this shit is snuff to me.

Rank #1 player in Spain, #78 in the world. Is a legit challeger/regional level player. Everyone has off days, I reckon he'd do better if he faced it again in the future
I find printf's playstyle too one-note and boring. The fact that the HAS to always open with a canon rush even against the races where that sucks AND that he never takes a second base severely limits the longevity of any potentially winning position.
I don't like this mechanic
