How would you answer patients asking for why they need x rays, fluoride, perio charting, etc?

i love listening to your talks! You are so energetic, informative and fun! Also, you looked pretty just like Julia Robert. Are you related to her? Julia Robert once wanted to be a dental hygienist! Thank you for making these video!

Hi Andrea, you talked about how you handled a tough adult patient by talking to her about your 13 years of experience and that you've never had it happen where the pt feels pain during a polish; but, could you please explain a scenario on how a new 20-year-old, young looking Certified Dental Assistant like me (who is working at her first Dental office) can talk to a tough adult patient? Given that, it's a new experience for me and that it's my first week of working there.
**To give you a better understanding of where i'm going about with this question, I just want to let you know that I am a college student in the U.S.A. I'm in a 1 year DA Program and for the first time next quarter, I'll start working on patients. And I'll basically be working in the Dental clinic for the first time when I have only been in the DA Program for 3 months. My goal this Christmas holiday is to be fully prepared in every aspect that I can (even for the worst situations in any Dental office).**
P.S. I love your videos, they're very helpful to me. My favorite video of yours is preparing for a job interview. If you have more detailed tips on that as well, I would be more than grateful for you to share them in another video.

My gosh sorry for the delay! I JUST saw this comment. Tough patients can be 'tough' I kill them with kindness haha. If you have any particular scenarios please comment and I can help directly!

What was the toughest patient you came across?

Good question! Probably ones that insist on having cleanings once a year but really need to come in every 3 mos

Hi Dentalle, I'm from Australia studying dental assisting. I love your tutorials they are so helpful. At the moment I'm confused with dental charting. Do you have any tutorials on charting?

Your facial features remind me of the lady in the movie Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts is her name.
