    If the cutting board isn't slightly softer than the knife then it will dull the blade. So it's expected that cutting boards will scratch. They are to protect your knife blades and the surface of the counter.

    The "smart" feature of the different cutting boards has to deal with "contamination". The smart feature takes the decision making out of the equation of which board to use for which ingredient, in particular when cutting chicken and meats; it keeps all ingredients in their own, separate and distinct lanes... or cutting boards to prevent contaminating each other.

    That mandoline portion made me feel unsafe.
    I don't know if the instructions said to hold it in the air or not, but most of them have feet on the far end that are meant to placed on a cutting board or other sturdy surface.
    Using it in the air is likely to have you add extra protein to a dish.

    The grab and pour seems more useful for kids or accessability needs rather than an average user.
    Shaved ice- yeah it was loud, but the issue I normally see from machines like that, especially made for kids, is that the parts and motor just aren't strong enough for shaving ice. So the sound of a big motor was a good sign.
    Zip quicker- I use a drinking glass. And even if you were to go out and buy one specifically for use with plastic bags, it's significantly cheaper than the product shown. Just line the drinking glass like a little trash can, and if you roll down the zipper you can even keep it clean for sealing.

  • @AschenDog
    @AschenDog 3 місяці тому

    Doesn't really matter if you brace it against the plate, the fact that the slicer can move and wobble makes the potential for injury way higher than a normal mandolin slicer or a box grater. Single sheet slicers like that are more for tiny things, like zest or a bit of hard cheese. Anything larger than that really needs more support.

    you used the soda dispensers wrong. theyre supposed to work like soda fountains where you push the cup into the lever to dispense. that is why it was pouring slow. it still sucks as a gadget but maybe test it again to see if it works better?

    As a watch person i've seen those watches and yes they are dim. Sometimes tho i find if the band is ok i'll buy it, cos its cheaper than just buying the band. ha. You didnt say what the band was. Leather? Faux or fake pleather or nylon weave.?

    The whole point of cutting boards is to have the cutting boards prevent your counters from getting scratched. Cutting boards are supposed to take the scratches. 😅😅😅😅😅

    My son bought that same ice shaver and used it a lot. IT was great until the motor burnt up 2 months later.
