Gotta love the Slann.
*Chaos Champion charging one with murderous intent.*
*Slann raises eyebrow*
*Helmet clunks to the feet of the Temple Guard*
The lizardmen remind me of the covenant with multiple species in there empire like the slan are the prophets the kroxigors are the brutes/hunters the skinks are the jackals/grunts and the saruas are the elites
Good point! Haven't ever thought of that but now you say that it makes perfect sense. Though I think that is actually sort of structure that has been used in many other fantasy/scifi universes as well. But nevertheless that may be explanation why I love both lizarmen and covenant :D
cosmetically that fits really well.
I think that particular idea might have origins with sci-fi eusocial species like the arachnids, and spread out from there. There's the 'normal' ones, the really big dangerous dumb ones, the smaller worker-laborers, and the psychic space magic and rather fat/thin ruler ones.
hmmm, Skinks are more like the builders/architects/janitors/interpreters/servants of society along with Kroxigors who are beasts of burden and beastly soldiers when needed, however prone to ferocious clumsiness.
Saurus are the standard soldier breed, with the best being exceptionally elite basically a split between the intellect of a skink and the muscle and ferocity of a kroxigor, but extremely much more disciplined and loyal than both.
Slann's are basically kings/priests/gods in the eyes of everyone below them.
Lizardmen are much like an ant colony, everyone is bred for a singular purpose... a great purpose, if you will ;)
I feel some what sad for the Lizardmen for they are lost in their quest to find the true meaning for their existence. Tats why I all ways rooting them.
@Matt Ellis Yeah most determined lizards ever

And failed miserably before sodding off.
kelman727 On the bright side, they are now Celestial beings that curb on chaos on a daily basis now.
though there are many races in warhammer that i like the lizardmen will always be my favorite because they have dinosaurs for war machines basically and i love dinosaurs.
Hell to the yeah
The lizardmen are my army. This is so fascinating
Good Job JT. I love your lore content.
Smiled when I saw you posted another vid. As always, entertaining. Thanks for the work.
Nicely done, JT.
11:12 Correction nthe kroxigors spawn from the skink spawning pools so they are most likely skink relatives.
Good catch
Is that related to why the krox are so cooperative with the skinks?
@@undulycriticalobserver2510 Yes, or atleast thats the only explenation we have been given. That and opposites attract, Skinks are shy and skittish so having the massive Kroxigors nearby calms them down.
@@tex4096 Not only that, the Skinks direct the Kroxigors in peace time too, to hauling slabs building blocks to other manual labor tasks. Because on their own Kroxigors are kinda stupid and just sit around or wander aimlessly. In fact Skinks often chain the weapons of Kroxigors to them as they will forget about them.
There’s Nakai and other ancient Kroxigors, but those are older ones and one could say the exception due to this.
Another great video, keep it up!
Just subscribed to your channel keep up the good work mate :D
Learned a lot, thanks bud.
Great video!
So, just to get this out of the way, when the Lizardmen come out from the Spawning Pools, they come out already as fully formed adults or they have a larval/baby stage?
They are fully functioning adults or at least that is the idea if everything happened the way it is supposed to.
@@jumbothick2984 Okay. Thank you. And sorry I took so long to reply back.
I didn't realise how cool these guys are

I need a wallpaper of that image, where did he get it??
Are there any Lizardmen Mercenaries working in the land of the Border Princes or something? I imagine a few saurians and skinks would have been bred for the specific purpose of being sent out across the world so they would be able to learn from and understand the other races of the WarHammer world
As far as I know this is not the case. In fact the Lizardmen don't appear to have any reason or need that they can think of to deal with what they consider lesser races. Therefore the closest we get are the dealings with Kemri which are in fact mild connecting of dots on my part, but unfortunately they have no mercenaries or Dogs of War as they are known in Warhammer.
@kuglefang I don't think the Lizardmen do that sort of thing. If it's not part of the Old One's great plan they don't give a crap about it.
There most certainly are Lizardmen mercenaries! warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Tichi-Huichi%27s_Raiders
You are right, but what you are referencing are the Dogs of War. It is very very old lore, but I did forget about the one unit of lizardmen in the roster, I will be doing a video on the dogs of war and my own thoughts on them later so for now good job reminding me of them.
There were pre AoS but post Age of Sigmar I doubt there cannon anymore thou I know the new lore book hasn't come out yet so that might change.
Nice video! I'm wondering about something. You said in this video and a few others that the main source of information for the information is the Empire. I thought the Empire was in the Old World, or do they have contact with the new world? If so, would they seek to conquer it? I'm new to the lore and am curious about this. Thanks :)
They often send expeditions to the new world to plunder the resources. Of course it is not just them as all the other factions of men do the same even Norsca which has one of the few permanent settlements established in Skeggi.
@@jumbothick2984 ah ok, that makes sense, thanks.
subbed.
Yes mate, that extra effort goes a long way for our non english bros ..
So what are the chameleons. Are they a type of skinks or what
Yes, they're chameleon skinks, they evolved differently and have natural camouflage, as well as poisonous darts.
ANTi GRAV alright thanks I thought that they were a sub species
I love my lizard folk.
What's the point of being an giant, aztec lizardman, if you can never engage in sexual activity!?
especially when you have TWO DICKS! SUCH A WASTE!!
A E S T H E T I C s
..... dont be a furry. Join a sport or something do some push ups
There is one more race in the lizardmen but it’s on the edge of canon, troglodytes they used them as shocked troops
Lustria will belong to Pestilens yes-yes
Never liked them, they are like “Jurassic Park” with talking dinosaurs 😫😫
Why would you not like Jurassic park with talking dinosaurs, remember that 1 scene from JP3?
Very interesting video
