Survival horror is indeed my most favourite genres in video games. It brings the atmosphere and tension to the players, where we fight our way for survival rather than brute force. Where we have to manage our items and ammunition and to save our special weapons and never to waste them. I just wish they bring back the classic survival horror gameplay back.
Awesome video mate! The survival horror genre is actually something I'm not super familiar with except for the obvious ones so this video was actually really interesting for me 🖖
Beautiful video, but you forgotten to mention some great survival horror games like Haunting Ground, Call of Cthulhu, Obscure, Eternal Darkness and probably the most terrifying survival horror ever made Forbidden Siren series
Great video man, keep it up! Not sure if you've started doing this but maybe do more videos focusing on more in depth looks at the various eras of survival horrors? You could touch on the various factors in life that could have influenced the making of said games, or like the zeitgeist of the times. I don't know just a thought, either way definitely subbed!
That's a great idea! I'll look into that for the future. I moved into going the history of themes in games, like my most recent video on post apocalypse games, but I do plan on visiting more niche genres like survival horror again. Thanks for the feedback my friend
Hey yo this video was awesome! Keep doin' this type of vídeos. I realy like survival horror games and now i'm going to watch the sweet home movie now lol. Support from Brazil🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
thanks my dude! I did a video similar to this on post-apocolypse games and will be doing one shortly on cyberpunk games. Thanks for the support! Much love
I understand why the video game industry has moved past old survival horror tropes like tank controls and fixed camera angles because those things just aren't very popular and are considered outdated to most people, but to me it's because of those things that made those classic games scarier and funner to play, games like Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake are good but just don't feel the same, they're missing what made survival horror unique in the first place, I hope people get what I'm trying to say.
Such an underrated channel. Deserves way more subs and views tbh
Thank you!
Eventually this will show up in people's recommended.

Clocktower series deserves a remake with the same care as RE. Same with silent hill.
Id love a modernized clocktower game!

You've missed Project Firestart for C64 from 1988 ;)
Survival horror will return big when VR tech will be mature enough.
Survival horror games are the best.
Alan Wake 2!
