The backyard with the mosaics belongs to my old elementary school teacher!!! She is a very talented folk artist, and that piece is called the "Great Wall of China"! So cool to see this randomly pop up in your video!
The 'standing nedlepoint art thingie' is a fire screen. Probably victorian, but that is just a guess. It sits near one's chair at fireside and the 'shield' moves up or down to shield their face from getting too much of the heat.:-) Thanks for aharing your trip with us!

3:38 so glad we got to meet you in person! We love your videos. They’re so inspiring! Hope to see you around at another estate sale or flea in the future!
Agree with you on that lovely painting of the children, love its colors and mood, as well as the frame on it. Looks like it belongs with your vase/magnolia stems corner. Gorgeous finds Drew and Justin!
I love when you go thrift or estate sale shopping. I think the one art piece that you referred to as fireworks is Lilly pads that are blooming on a pond! You showed us some really beautiful pieces. Great video! The house is looking so beautiful!
Lots of great finds! The round box with the bark exterior is beautiful. The art of inlaid wood on the top is called marquetry. Scenes like that are often copies of landscape or cityscape paintings, often German, French or Italian.
I'm Dominican and we call that type of mortar and pestle a "pilón" (pronounced pee-loUn). It's used to make sazón. It's used the same way as a mortar and pestle but it has higher walls cause we use lots of different ingredients to make seasoning. 😅
I absolutely LOVE when you go on shopping trips. Especially estate sales, flea markets, thrift stores. The BIGGER the haul, the BETTER! You have a KEEN eye for great pieces!

YESSSS YOU GOT IT!!! I WOULD CRY MY EYES OUT EVERY DAY (greek and roman would also be accurate just as religious, that's our Lord and Savior) 12:16
the bronze face sculpture ..... the best piece ever .... i have a round ceramic head sculpture with an open scary mouth that i found in a random place in Varanasi that i truly love .. so maybe it is my thing ... we don't have estate sales here .. kinda sad .. so living vicariously through you XX
Take this however you want, but being retired from buying and Selling antiques and vintage for over 35 years, I love to watch your enthusiasm. I am glad I only do treasure seeking for myself these days, its getting harder and harder to find an incredible deal…but kudos to lone fox for finding some incredible finds to share with us. The best part when you’re looking for vintage items for yourself, is being able to take your time, find the special item that can work for you specifically. My advice is, always go with the thing you never have questions about, if you love it, you’ll always find a special place for it. Always be prepared 😮😮😮h
The wood carving with the figure leaning forward in despair is Yeshua (Jesus of Nazareth), or possibly one of the disciples sitting on the wooden cross before he is crucified. Very powerful image! You chose some wonderful pieces, as always, Drew! 💜
Thank you for sharing your Estate Sale shopping adventure with us, Drew. The painting of the children is my favourite piece and they almost look three dimensional.
What cool things you found! I think the bronze face would look good on a bookshelf. The pic of the children is the most my personal style. I can see MaCenna loving that pic in her house.
The lamp thingy could be used for so many things. You could use it on a high shelf as an ornament. Doing it on a high shelf, you wouldn't see the fitting for the cord. You could use it as a stand for something like the marble bowl. Loved all of your purchases.
I may be the only one, but I really like the scary head bronze sculpture. It is incredibly interesting. I can totally see it sitting on your bookshelf. 😊
Holy cow Drew!! That first Estate sale was AMAZING! That said, all of the sales were great, and I would have gone home with a haul and a half!! (Broke, but oh so happy!!) LOVE what you brought home!!
Love the candle holders and the matchstick art! If you don't end up using the mask, you could always take it off its base and give it to Justin for his mask wall.
Amazing estate sales, the art at the first place was overwhelming almost! That wood plaque carving of the figure with his head on his knees looks like Jesus sitting up from the cross in grief - look at the background, is that a cross he's sitting on? You got some great finds, my favorite is that marble bowl and the oil of the children.
In the olden days in different parts of Africa the little pestel and mortar was used in a bigger version to grind dried corn. The corn was dried the grinded using that to make what we call mealie meal.we use mealie meal to make a basic staple we call pap which is an everyday staple for all our meals
What great finds! I love going shopping with you, Drew! My neighbour and I went yard-sale-ing this Saturday too and we had such a great time and came home with some really great finds. I so enjoyed this weekend trip with you! I can go without spending any money! LOL!
I really liked the wooden piece that you found of Jesus that’s before he was going to get crucified when they nailed his feet 😢 to the cross. I wish I could have that it’s very unique.
Oh gosh Drew you found some really awesome things at those estate sales, your whole house has just some really cool things that I love seeing when you post a new video. Thanks again for another really awesome video and I wish you a restful rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂😍🤗👋👍✌💜💜💜
The needle point sheild on a stand, you may already know, but ladies used to have them near firesides to sheild their faces from getting red from the fire 🔥
This was so much fun! I’ve been to yard sales and thrift shopping but never to an estate sale. Also flee markets and antique malls I’ve done those. This is a fun adventure and I really enjoyed going along for the ride. Your tastes are excellent even with the scary head! I agree he was an excellent find! ❤
I LOVE estate sales I've been to hundreds! People often ask if I'm afraid of buying haunted stuff which is so silly. I always tell them I'm buying unwanted items that will have a long life with me and I will adore every piece I buy. I always find unique items that are no longer even made anymore. Its wonderful for my home because I live in a 1960s - 1970s time capsule. ❤
I laughed so hard when you said "some of you are going to say Drew take that back". Probably because I have one similar to it. I've been trying to research it for a while before listing it. Great haul, it's always fun going shopping with you.
Thanks for addressing the fiberglass. Many mattress makers use other names on the tag to disguise rather than the word fiberglass. It is rare to see the information on the tags listed in sales information, so that needs to be required prior to sale for all mattress products.

Amazing finds Drew! As you were discussing all the pieces and held each piece up they looked great in the room you were sitting in. I could envision them throughout the house. Love your style Drew.
I too, thought you might call Macenna at that Estate sale! I love the oil painting of the children! It brought Macenna to mind! Amongst all of your treasures in this haul, this painting & the special little pitcher for your breakfast nook shelving, & the crafting wood lamp base were my favorites. I’d love to see your completion of that lamp! Way to go! 🦊

Sometimes when looking at stuff we forget to look at the tables & things the stuff is on. We went to a very picked over sale & they had stuff on an outdoor bistro table. Asked if it was for sale & shocked to hear them say OH YES!! They forgot to mark it. Got it for $10.
Wow what awesome unique items you picked up. The art pieces are beautiful, MaCenna would have gone crazy at the art sale. Love the carved wood pieces, my favorite 😊👍

I love estate sales. When I moved into my present home I found loads of furniture and decor items for it. I still go occasionally if it looks like a really good one. I live in Texas and the prices here are generally much better.

I'm here for the spooky face. Please keep vlogging your treasure hunts! I love seeing what calls to each person. 😊
Hey Drew-the needlepoint shield is actually a fire shield to keep the heat of a fireplace off of a lady’s face. These were amazing estate sales!
The 'standing nedlepoint art thingie' is a fire screen. Probably victorian, but that is just a guess. It sits near one's chair at fireside and the 'shield' moves up or down to shield their face from getting too much of the heat.:-) Thanks for aharing your trip with us!
Yep! Specifically so the lady’s make up (which back, then actually have wax in it), wouldn’t melt for the heat!
So cool to learn how to use the fire shield.
