You are correct. They are a wonderful group of professionals at Victory of Southern Maryland. Just bought a 2014 Cross Country today and will pick up in two days. I am also getting the exhaust modded. I am coming from sport to bagger and cant wait til I am totally crossed over.
I have 2014, Cross Country tour with a Power Commander 5 that has been dyno tuned, the timing wheel, Lloydz air filter and Raging Cajun Ripper mufflers. I retired from GM after 33.5 years and I love retirement!
MikenChristy Hartman My work was done over a year ago and the price can fluctuate with bundle packages and limited discounted prices. I hate to give you a long drawn out answer, but your best bet is to call your dealer and let them quote your price. They are now bundling fuel management systems in with the muffler work. so the price can be different now.
Figured approx a grand...just looking for ballpark... gots lots of research to do, but coming off my honda shadow 750 that was obnoxiously loud...which I liked, I gotta do something because factory sounds like a sewing machine unless you're giving heavy throttle... love the ride and comfort of this cross country tour...
It is around 600 for the pipes to be debaffled. If you add more things like fuel management it can end up around 1,000. I guess I could have ball-parked it but didn't want to contradict your dealer. Let me know how it works out for you. BTW what area are you in?
No the dealer said for the most part I would be fine slightly above sea level but in elevations between 8-9 thousand feet above she didn't run well she ran crappy at beartooth pass at the high elevations

Thanks for the story
What did you do to modify the exhaust?
I took it to the shop and they basically debaffled it.
I just purchased same bike and was wondering what the cost was for this mod at the dealer.
