Did this mod with 10 holes at 5/16 and it gave it a lower sound. Had 6 holes on each but this weekend added 4 more and I am a lot more happy with the mod. Your bike looks sick.
Sounds good! I went ahead and bought a set of Big Ganzos from the Ganzo Garage and they're awesome. People turn there heads and look all the time. Some say, "Wow, that sounds like a Harley..." I tell them, "Nope, it sounds like a Victory..." Nice deep rumble and loud...
hi, did the same on my 2014 tour. sounds good , and was easy to do. no popping at all. if your looking for a little more sound and on a budget like me I recommend. now the bike can be heard a little more than stock. thanks for the vid. sweet bike nick, my brother has the same model.
update. I added a lloydz fuel controller, air filter, and drilled the holes out to 1/2". sound is a little loader. it also added some backfire. Guessing a loss in back pressure. will be messing with the tune to see if I can remove the popping all the way
Nick Money would you mind posting an updated video of what your new setup sounds like? i'd like to know which sound is more to my liking before doing amy mods.
Nick, would you mind posting an updated video of your new setup? i'd like to know which sound i prefer before doing my own mods. wish i could get my hands on that color but the 17 x-1 will have to do.
I have a 2011XC and when I drilled mine I didn't notice much difference. do the holes have to be around the edge of the can? mine are closer to the exhaust pipe itself
Little bit if popping when cold and a you go to shift or on a hard acceleration then let off. when warm I have zero popping. fuel mileage is ok. Going to pull the plugs again to see how they look.
i can tell you its night and day different over non-drilled. would like it a little loader so i'll be getting a set of lloydz pipes this year IF they continue to make them.
Nick Money ....hell yea that sounds good, exactly what I want my bike to sound like. You could hear the bike before you even came back in the picture and it has that low rumble sound when sitting and when you cruised by. Thanks for the video when I get mine drilled out (hopefully this weekend) I have to put a video up.....Another quick question? How do you like the bag speakers? Worth the money? Good sound quality when riding?
why wouldn't I do it? It's free and sounds way better than than stock. I'll let you know when I get the extra $800 for the pipes I want on top of the lloydz fuel controller and air filter I just bought.
that's the best drilled out exhaust mods sound I've ever heard. thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you

mrbsfld click in the link I posted yesterday. lloydz air filter and tuner right now. working in getting aftermarket pipes right now
you should put Miller Mufflers on they're cheap and they sound really nice
Who needs loud pipes when you have two hundred watts of stereo?
That's what I was thinking, now he has to turn the music up really loud to hear over the exhaust.
I drilled mine too.
Also ran a 1 1/8" holesaw up the center on a 20" extension.
Doesn't sound like a sewing machine.
Cost??? $0.00
Nick.., how many holes did you drill? Its a little hard to see!

Not sure. you might still be in the exhaust channel instead to the packing.
How much pipe did you cut off ?
Tough question ?
I can bet your either an electrician, plumber or HVAC tech. I got similar bag full of bits, and hole saws. sounds good bud. ride on
How is your bike running after this mod? I was thinking about doing the same thing, was concerned about popping, fuel milage ext. Thanks.

Thank you for the info.
Still running on these pipes?
ya. think ill be getting v&h, d&d, or lloydz next year unless i can find a smokin deal
i recommend a lip on muffler, if you dont want to spend extra money on lloydz
Do you have a drive by video? Interested in doing a mod like this to my 13'XC
no but I could get one up. it will be a few days from now as there is rain in the forecast.
Sounds good, just looking to make my bike a little louder

Why not get a slip on ? U spent so much for a bad ass bike just to do a dyi mod job
