Hopefully there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, that fire was really venting through the roof. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
Did you all see how fast that furnace was turned off with a two second application of exterior water? Now, they have to do it on the left side. A few seconds of water and that room is shut off. The problem in both locations is that they didn't think about where the water was going and what it was accomplishing. They needed to soak the entire room so it would not rekindle. That means, moving your feet to cover the entire room. The tower water isn't getting to the burning material, so it is only testing the gutter system. This structure needed a hard and effective exterior attack followed by an aggressive interior attack. The latter didn't seem to happen. The tower water application destroyed the floors below. This did NOT have to be a total loss.
That fire is pissed
Awesome video Josh. Take care and stay safe my friend...🤗🤗

Cannot recall ever seeing such a bad smoke condition from a house fire before. That split stream from TL isn't very good.
Looks more like a controlled burn….

Apparently Detroit Fire doesn’t’ understand what exposure protection is all about.

That tower ladder is kinda useless. They needed to lay another supply line and boost the pressure. The inch and a half is flowing a better stream...
