Congratulation : ) 😊😊👏👏 I am in the market to get one right now in Sonic Blue like the one in the video. I was suppose to get the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 but I need a 4 doors so I am buying Lexus IS-F instead : )
Well put Video @ RoadflyTV 6 years later but I'm looking into the ISF. Its reliable has tons of power and torque and excellent daily driver. Your video was well articulated, and very informative with technical specs.
@R32Viper you ever see one in person? it dont look anything like a honda. People actually take pictures of my ISF on the street... and its still stock.
I know that exact feeling when he did that little pedal to the metal ! "right there wooo~f!!!! ; ) " 1:14 it really hits the spot! your brain triggers an automatic smile ~
Honestly this is quite a great car. I am a huge M3 fan but this car is outstanding, great power, VERY impressive interior and vivid looks. This has to be one of the most competitive car divisions ever.
Okay. Went and lookedmit up. The original ISF had VDIM. There were clutch fingers in the diff but it only worked like a weak Phantom Grip. It helped the computer to send torque to the grounded wheel when it detected wheel spin on an unloaded wheel. VDIM uses the brakes to progressively lock the wheel in the air to move torque to the other wheel.
Hey Ross, quick question. With all these improvement in performance and lapping a track equally quick as an M3, how would you say the IS-F differentiate itself from the Beemer, in terms of drive feel, interior comfort, and daily practicality?
Very Interesting car. I still think the front fascia could use some sharpening and toning down in more places than others, but definitely improved. Ross, keep doing a good job. Shame most the comments you get are from guys who don't realize they can get what they really want by searching "Girls and cars". Your reviews are top notch and honest.
Very nice review. I like the IS-F a lot. I like the comparisons you've made to it's competitors, very well said without being too bias in the review. For me personally although I love the styling of the IS-F, my pick for the money would be a Cadillac CTS-V. It just does more for me personally and fits my preference at this price range and category.
Somehow I want to see Ross moer often on Roadfly. I would rather hear more about the chassis development/engineering stories from you, because i could go to a dealer and check out the cars shape/touch/look/feel myself, but not all average salesmen know the very fine development detail about the car. Please Ross, appear more often on RoadFly!
@R32Viper i test drove an audi a bmw and i couldnt stand either one them. To me, they were f#cking UGLY, inside and out. Lexus all the way. Which one did you end up getting? I know its not that VW on your page because you seem way to upper class to drive a upgraded bug.
Lexus had the least customer complaints this year placing #1 in some test research. I forgot who made it but it was on the front page of Yahoo! yesterday. There was a huge list on it about quality and least customer complaints.
way to go Lexus!! Fixed the mess !!! Limited slip, lighter front end, less boy racer design. I still prefer the M3 by a long shot but at least the ISF can now be considered a sports sedan.
I just wish they'd make a coupe already. And they may. Word on the wind is that the next generation will be based on the FT-86's platform, which means they may offer a 2 door.
I'd sacrifice reliability and cheaper maintenance costs for the more tactile feel of an M3 any day, but different things are important to different people. It's nice that every type of person has an option now.
You can take it on the track and fucking drive it like it's meant to be driven. I don't need to pull anything and I love the sound on it. To you, your car is an appliance, like a toaster. To me, it's a way of life. Why exactly are you watching car videos?
Very good review by the host, and even more impresive to Lexus to improve the awesome ISF even more stealthy! TOYOTA IS THE BEST, no questions ask! Period!
I don't understand what he is talking about in terms of styling. The front bumper and exhaust tips are exactly the same on all ISFs from 2008 all the way through to to 2014. There re no cosmetic changes aside from the lights.
all that Lexus needs to do now is lower that fucking 65k for the car then they'll be selling more ISFs and have less people put fake F logos on their 250s :)
Wow, only 3800 lbs. No wonder it's so fast. The Tesla Model S Performance which has 413 hp and weighs 4,650 lbs gets to 60 in 4.4 sec. and the quarter mile in 12.6 sec. The 400 hp, 4300 lb BMW 550i does 0-60 in 4.8 sec. and the quarter mile in over 13 sec.
@Henrylai07281995 if u have been listening they say that its because of the suspension was lightening on the front and hardened in the back there for i have no idea what that really does but i've been playing forza 3 for a while and drifing and i do drifting so im guessing it did have affect plus they put a limited slip differential which made it 8 seconds quicker im not sure but probably might have been mad more lighter than the old one
The Lexus IS-F is not a Nissan GTR competitor. Nissan GTR is about 35,000 more and is made only as a performance car. The IS-F is a sport performance luxury sedan made for everyday usage still having about 20MPG and being fast of course over 400 HP. Both are amazing cars, but don't fall in the same category. IS-F competes with the M3, C63 AMG , RS4 and Volvo S60R.
Lexus IS F is the best. Reliable, Luxurious, and comfortable. BMW m3 and the GTR Are also good cars, but from my experience they aren't reliable and the parts are really expensive.
@radiodiary1 both nice cars but I think you'd have to go with the GT-R. They both have great specs but the GT-R, wow how much fun could you have with that =)
Finally got myself a 2011 IS-F!!! So blessed and so happy 😭😭😭
Congratulation : ) 😊😊👏👏 I am in the market to get one right now in Sonic Blue like the one in the video. I was suppose to get the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 but I need a 4 doors so I am buying Lexus IS-F instead : )
kempowarrior why not the q50 red sport 400?

How many miles did you pick yours up with and how much?

great review. i love the fact that Ross actually compares the competitors in all aspects consistently and not just throws in a detail here and there.
Well put Video @ RoadflyTV 6 years later but I'm looking into the ISF. Its reliable has tons of power and torque and excellent daily driver. Your video was well articulated, and very informative with technical specs.
SF Motors RR I just bought a 2013 ISF and I'm extremely happy with my purchase go for it you won't regret it
SF Motors RR I'm looking into an 08 or 09
Most excellent review. No-nonsense, straight-up-to-the-point. You did a great job of highlighting the relevant facts.
YOu are the Best host on Roadfly! I perfer knowing more about the fine details of the car, and you did a great job.
That was an awesome review. I just sat in one of these at the DC Auto Show, as a loyal German car fan, I was quite impressed.
@R32Viper you ever see one in person? it dont look anything like a honda. People actually take pictures of my ISF on the street... and its still stock.
I bought a black 2011 is f Best car I've ever owned at 44 ! Nice video !!!! 🤙
I know that exact feeling when he did that little pedal to the metal ! "right there wooo~f!!!! ; ) " 1:14 it really hits the spot! your brain triggers an automatic smile ~
But I liked the 2007/8 styling. Sometimes you've just got to block out the critics and with what u feel is right.
You're in luck then because the 2011 is exactly the same as the 2008 model. He's wrong.
Great report Ross. Favorite reporter.
Great review Ross. Keep up the good work. I like the idea of a high performance luxury car combined with great reliability.
Honestly this is quite a great car. I am a huge M3 fan but this car is outstanding, great power, VERY impressive interior and vivid looks. This has to be one of the most competitive car divisions ever.
What a great review !! I love this Lexus. This would be my car if i was in the market for a small sport sedan.
Lexus you did a good job
ROSS! You made me want to go out and buy that CAR! You do Excellent Work my friend! Lucky Stiff!
Very good review. I think instead of the M3, it's more like an Audi, C63 AMG, and CTS?
Great Review Ross. Love all your Videos. cant wait to see whats new for us. :)

this guy knows how to review a car, props.
Ross always does a great job
Great review, my dad owns 2 is350s and now he wants an isf
I thought yall were in the DC area, how come this car has Jersey plates?
Ross knows his stuff! Great Review
I've loved the IS since the new body style came out in 2006 I believe it was, and the IS-F is on that list
How long did you have the 335i? Also, did you have any reliability issues?
Roadflytv is from VA?? AWESOME!!!
@R32Viper i test drove an audi a bmw and i couldnt stand either one them. To me, they were f#cking UGLY, inside and out. Lexus all the way. Which one did you end up getting? I know its not that VW on your page because you seem way to upper class to drive a upgraded bug.

Lexus IS F , new mercedes CLA 45 AMG, Audi S5, god what to get. only thing that is a clear cut + is IS F is rear wheel, in PA our snow is shitttt
0-60 IN 4. FUCKING TWO SECONDS ??
THAT IS EPIC !! this might just be my new car !
Ross, way to go buddy!
just drived one today, and its fun to drive i was happy to try this out and its vere good on drifting ;).
good job Ross .. Good report
way to go Lexus!! Fixed the mess !!! Limited slip, lighter front end, less boy racer design. I still prefer the M3 by a long shot but at least the ISF can now be considered a sports sedan.
Thanks for this review. Very insightful and informative
Stunning review
@quistian69 so does the ferrari california, what's your point?
Badass car. Nice review- no "Holla" is a plus.
This car is definitely great and has improved well. I just don't see the need for that particular exhaust tip setup.
That clock on the dash looks like the one on my Dads 1985 Topaz!
Great review.. this is my dream car.
The center console isn't carbon fiber, but carbon fiber like. It is actually aluminum.
I just wish they'd make a coupe already.
And they may. Word on the wind is that the next generation will be based on the FT-86's platform, which means they may offer a 2 door.
@sok213 458 is 7 speed dual clutch transmission. both gtr and 458's transmissions are like real manuals only with a computer controlling the clutches.
in 2010 it had the real mechanical differential, so what is he talking about ??
I have one and luv it
I love ROAD FLY TV!!!
So how does it compare to the cts-v then?
nice review man nice
i see this car everyday, cant take my eyes off it :OO
But will it blend?
I'd sacrifice reliability and cheaper maintenance costs for the more tactile feel of an M3 any day, but different things are important to different people. It's nice that every type of person has an option now.
that's a sexy sound the isf produces
Really surprised about the LSD. The original ISF did so well, I'd have bet it had a clutch pack.
Lexus IS-F vs Nissan GTR, which one is the better value??
You can take it on the track and fucking drive it like it's meant to be driven. I don't need to pull anything and I love the sound on it.
To you, your car is an appliance, like a toaster. To me, it's a way of life. Why exactly are you watching car videos?
@magnummcneil and for a little more cash I would rather have the new M5... whats your point ?
I'm diggin' that coat.
Is there also a Manual in this?
Very good review by the host, and even more impresive to Lexus to improve the awesome ISF even more stealthy! TOYOTA IS THE BEST, no questions ask! Period!
Great review... better than Top Gear.
I don't understand what he is talking about in terms of styling. The front bumper and exhaust tips are exactly the same on all ISFs from 2008 all the way through to to 2014. There re no cosmetic changes aside from the lights.
this is one sick automobile
i agree with Ross 1000% the ISF is more of c63 competitor !! i have been saying that for ages !!
@TBustah They are going to make the IS-F two door version in the next gen. But for sure it will not be based on the FT86 concept chassis.
I also think think the ISF looks better than the GTR, though ur right about everything else
@m6speeder lol and skoda seat and more lol list goes on and on. thank you for adding that up didn't had space left on the comment bar.
The original 2007 ISF had no LSD?
this is the only lexus I love
I would take ISF over m3 yes they may be same price, BUT this is big but the running cost of ISF is alot cheaper.
good review
@SirianKings you have your opinions, I have mine.
all that Lexus needs to do now is lower that fucking 65k for the car then they'll be selling more ISFs and have less people put fake F logos on their 250s :)
@radiodiary1 you forgot the TAX
2 door?
I WANT THIS CAR !!!! F Power.
I love the way the ISF looks but it just can never compete with the E92 M3.
I laughed when he said the styling had been toned down. Still looks pretty aggressive to me. Good car though, I bet it's a hoot to drive.
I'm between the IS-F and the audi B7 RS4 I dont know what to do because the Lexus isnt Quattro
Audis are fun but not reliable.
do the C63 with performance package. Next.
This car is the best!!
now thats a sleeper car
@159jammy you also would not get a knee airbag with the bmw
@Henrylai07281995 if u have been listening they say that its because of the suspension was lightening on the front and hardened in the back there for i have no idea what that really does but i've been playing forza 3 for a while and drifing and i do drifting so im guessing it did have affect plus they put a limited slip differential which made it 8 seconds quicker im not sure but probably might have been mad more lighter than the old one

MY DREAM CAR !!!
this car is BOSS
I only watch Road Fly videos with Ross Rapoport!
IS THIS AWD
@cmlesschwab
They changed the wheels again for 2012.
The S60R competed with older generation M3s.
