    Is it normal if the fuel pressure is around 4.87 at idle?

    Hi, great content! I saw in Gauge the frp is about 700, should be the same at cold engine , start-up? I have a mini r 56

    I have a 2011 mini R57 non turbo and also the Foxwell NT510 elite reader and after following your instructions step by step I get to the function where I’m ready to select gig pressure fuel system and it now there no way to choose that option.

    I think my HPFP is on its way out... Got worse over the last 2 months... Only interesting thing is that occasionally the car starts fine both the set point and reading are at 5 MPa, however when it has an issue, BOTH the setpoint and actual read at approximately 0.7 MPa. Anyone else seen this? Thanks

    Hey man, I have issues with my car hesitating and running kinda rough at idle, I’ve noticed if I blip the throttle on idle then my fuel rail pressure will drop to about 600PSI Before it corrects itself and runs at around 700PSI on idle, do you think this is a bad pump?

    Question for you, I've replaced my HPFP but now I'm getting a code P0088 "Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High" . Do I put a new high pressure fuel line which is recommended after removing it? Could this be causing my problem? Btw I've replaced a new fuel rail sensor as well as a new fuel filter. Thanks in advance:)

    Does mini cooper R56 N12 (non-s) have fuel rail pressure sensor? I couldnt find any reference to its location.

    Ok so I did a Code on Fuel Pressure and have volume control valve 16.9. Rail pressure actual 5.82 and set point 5.82. Adaptation value fuel delivery control 1.0. I don't think my HPFP is bad??? My misfire codes are common for that problem 2783, 277B, 277F and 2773. I replaced my BOV (Turbosmart) a few months ago and the electrical adapter connection didn't fit so I modified it to snap into place. Not sure if the connection is working correctly? I also replaced the Pressure Convertor and vacuum lines. I assume that's not causing the misfires? Any ideas? Mini S has 107,500 well maintained miles on it. Owned since new. Also another code for 'smooth running value #1 0.43 l/s, #2 -0.48, #3 -0.02, #4 0.10 I have know idea what these values are for?? Thanks

    Would be interested to see how you get two Scanguages working on the same ODB port. I watched one video where one guy tried to use an ODB splitter cable but it failed long-term.

      That would be the same way i would try it. Do you happen to have a link for that video?

      @@ProjectMini ua-cam.com/video/2Z3qF9WsTEA/v-deo.html This was on a Mustang though. Maybe it would work on a MINI.
      On another note, I have a 2013 R56 S, and tried to measure the fuel rail pressure on my Scan Gauge II and it didn't work. I even mailed it in to Scan Gauge back in November 2016 to have the software updated. Not blaming you or anything just thought that was something noteworthy. I'll try measuring the pressure with my Foxwell NT510 later.

    Hi, hopefully you can assist especially since I may not be able to pose my question correctly.
    My mechanic just just installed a new high pressure fuel pump and tells me it is pumping too much fuel. Do you know what could be the problem?

    • @ProjectMini
      @ProjectMini  3 роки тому +2

      I would find out how much fuel you’re getting (in PSI) and see if your mechanic knows what he’s talking about.

      It depends on the accessories in function, or the demand of the battery, on the alternator.

    So I recently got a 08 cooper s turbo n lately its have hard time starting. Replaced sparkplug, coils , valve cover , fuelpump and fuel filter housing (sending unit ) .. still not starting up after a over night stop. Can it be the expensive pressure pump ?

      Hello, I currently have a similar problem. I replaced the spark plugs, coils, battery, and the car starts and then turns off only after the third time. It doesn't turn off and always after the car has been parked for a long time. Regards

    What is the fuel pressure supposed to be ?

  • @blackwinggarage
    @blackwinggarage 9 місяців тому

    Mpa is MegaPascal, not BAR. 1 BAR equals 14.7 psi. 1 Mpa equals 145 psi. 5.01 Mpa equals 726.6 PSI for the HPFP value. Low pressure fuel pump deliver is measured in BAR and should be 5 bar or 72.5 PSI.
